I disagree with Sipple on the 6'2"+ stereotype thing. So he's saying that he wouldn't want a Rex Burkhead? Danny Woodhead? Or Cory Ross? I mean come on. I'd take those guys all day long. Or how about a Barron Miles? That size/weight requirement fixation is a bad box to fall into imo. If you can play football, you can play football. A current example of that is Nate Boerkircher. I don't think he was even rated as a player coming out of high school. You can't measure heart, desire, dedication and determination and I'd take a determined Rex Burkhead EVERYDAY over a some 5-star with a flashy 100 meter time. I'm jsn.
Unfortunately, the 105 man roster will send most of the walkon type players playing fcs, and lower division football, and if they are great, may get an opportunity to transfer up to fbs football.
Always been a much bigger fan of the smaller bowling ball type backs that can hide behind the lines. In fact many of the best backs all time in college/nfl are/have been under 6ft tall.
My dream is bounding Iowa into the sand then getting a blue chip matchup on our bowl. Another big named program on a down year. I woudl like a 7-5 Nebraska and a 7-5 Florida or similar 8-4 big named program.
