  • The Lenzing Group stands for an ecologically responsible production of specialty fibers made for the growing need of sustainable solutions in the world. Lenzing fibers are used in a variety of textile applications and are also perfectly suitable for hygiene products, cosmetics and agricultural applications. The way from the forest to the fiber involves several productions steps shown in this video.

    Wonderful video!
I think any and all companies like this need to band together and help each other achieve their goals.
There are nearly 10,000,000,000 people on the planet, and in the future it’s going to increase Exponentially.
There’s more than enough room to go around- Multiple times and still not finish what Needs To Be Done.

I live on an island; our ecosystem is challenged by invasive species, including a very tall, aggressive grass that grows tree-like. I would love to make contact and learn to see if this could be a solution for us here, using these invasive species. In other words, if we don't come up with methods to monetize/utilize these invasives, our struggles for sustainability is even more an uphill battle in spite of the prosaic challenges of water table loss, climate change, rising tides, etc.

In which year will Lenzing be Co2 neutral?
If the trees are only from certified sustainable forestrys are you planting new trees there for the old ones?
    Great video by the way!

Hi Lenny, thank you very much for our feedback. A first milestone is set for 2030, when Lenzing plans to reduce CO2 emissions per ton of product by almost 50 percent compared to a 2017 baseline. We aim to become carbon-neutral by 2050. If you want to learn more about our handling of the resource wood, please visit our website: bit.ly/3kBJDqH In addition, Lenzing supports numerous environmental initiatives - including tree planting and afforestation initiatives which you can find here: bit.ly/32PdbuM

Hmm unfortunately 'certified sources' are often not as green as they claim... so please check them regulary. Otherwise Tencel might cause illegal deforestation

Your lenzing™ ecovero™ viscose shrinks. Like inches on first wash (30oC gentle wash). Then it keeps shrinking. This material is NOT environmentally friendly as after just one wear, it gets thrown away making the whole reasoning behind this fabric redundant. You need to prewash before making clothes at the very least before wasting valuable resources and contributing to landfill.

    • @lenzingvideos
      @lenzingvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the product which contains our LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers.
We can assure you that shrinking is not a typical performance of our fibers. The responsibility lies with the retailers who select the fabrics for their collections. We would recommend returning the garment to the retailer.

    • @TheBlightygal

@@lenzingvideos Shrinking is 100% typical - I bought 7 dresses all made of this material (and advertised as your material as an eco selling point) and all of the shrunk just over a dress size. Interestingly they continue to shrink on every wash.

@@TheBlightygal whats the fabric composition? a blend? of 100% viscose? if its blended with other synthetics, than yes of course its most likely to shrink.

    • @TheBlightygal

@@erickagg5651 100% 100% Lenzing ECOVERO Viscose. It's Monsoon's clothing, nearly all their clothes are made with 100% Lenzing ECOVERO Viscose.. so they advertise. It shrinks first wash and continues to shrink on 30oC gentle washes.
I bought new in the sales made of this stuff, all rendered useless. Have a look around, I am not the only person who has experienced this going by the reviews.

How can we wash our clothing made of your product to prevent this??? @lenzingvideos I just spent hundreds of pounds on Allsaints shirts expecting them to be of the highest quality and now I have to worry about this?! I’m furious.

CO2 isn't stored in trees. the oxygen is broken away from the carbon so maybe you could say carbon storage but its not CO2 storage.
