Recently, I found a rectangular-prism shaped stone which fits in my hand. It has crystals all around it, too, to my amazement! I found it on a street corner while walking home from the store. Thanks for your new video. Your collections are beautiful! Great finds!
I've found some wonderful tiny tools in a dry creekbed- little razors and blades that aren't too worn down because the creek dried up. Some really sharp and precise little blades, used for shaving or cosmetics, maybe.
On the whole, have you found many pottery fragments? Is there a particularly good way of finding pottery sherds? I’ve found an assortment of all sorts of tools but not a single fragment of pottery. I search along a creek similar to yours.
I have found a fair amount. They can be tough to spot. Often, they look like a leaf in the water. If they are fresh out of the bank or have designs on them, they can be easier to spot.
Do you find points also? I've been digging on my property, away from the river by me, and found a lot of grinders, polishing stones, a couple effigy stones, a seed planter, but no points. I've found a lot of stuff in an area about 5x5 foot and 2 ft down. Your videos really open a different view on these things...I can't not study every rock I pull up now. Great stuff!
In my area, points and blades are found away from the rivers. For the most part, they are found at camp sites.Usually 100 yards or so off the rivers. I used to hunt them regularly, but access to good areas is very difficult nowadays.
All good! 😘✌
Found a 10 inch stone axe the other day and some nice polishing stones. Just a short walk through the creek and still got more to look.

I’m curious, what type material do they tend to be?
@@brucedawson6991They're usually small or tiny, with lots of sharp, serrated edges all around them, just like arrowheads.
How many years old do you think they are?
@davidr2975 It's hard to say, but most are probably 4000 to 500 years old.
Great rocks

They make a hollow, glass sound when you flick them with your finger.
