in this film i take a look at radiohead’s gear in the typical pedal partners way, exploring the sociological impact of the bands music & the gear they’ve used over the years. in this video i look at gear all the way from the band’s inception in the 90s, through albums like ‘pablo honey,’ ‘the bends’ & ‘ok computer’ through to the band’s groundbreaking music in the 21st century: ‘kid a,’ ‘in rainbows,’ ‘a moon shaped pool’ & more. i’ll look at what jonny greenwood has being using for guitar as the smile live, as well as gear used by the band’s other guitarists thom yorke & ed’obrien. in this video we explore jonny greenwood’s pedalboard, jonny greenwood’s guitar tone, ed o’brien’s pedalboard, ed o’brien’s guitar tone & thom yorke’s pedalboard. this is a great video for those looking to get the radiohead guitar tone & learn all about radiohead’s guitar pedals & radiohead’s pedalboards. all music & visuals are an original production by pedal partners. all rights reserved, 2023.

My space echo is the RE-20, nice little pedal, one of the first ones I got when I was trying to recreate the Radiohead sound in my music.
we love the re-20, the 20 series pedals are all really cool. you should check out the dd-20 as well if you haven't.

My fav pedals are Boss RE-20 (space echo & reverb, echo as reverb can be used indepently of eachother) and Warm Audio Jet Phaser (phaser & fuzz if desired).
Kevin Shields allegedly used a Shredmaster. What do you think of the Oxford Drive for MBV style distortion?
yes, i believe he did. i think it can work for that sound, even better for radiohead stuff. never had a drive get so close to their sound, i actually did a take playing 'electioneering' but kept it out as we try to avoid covers! probably prefer oxford drive over the og shredmaster, really love the voice & diode switches. asymmetrical (mix of both diodes) is my favourite setting.
I’m pretty sure I saw Jonny Greenwood using a Korg Kaoss pad to create the glitch effect on the Jools Holland show
yeah jonny uses a korg kaoss & a computer for max/msp glitching, very cool to have these max/msp glitches in pedal form now!
kaoss pad is to glitch thom's vocals on Everything In Its Right Place (tho Nigel did that on a computer on the album). for guitar stuff on Go to Sleep and 2+2=5 he uses max/msp on his laptop.

idk what my top 3 songs would be, but Packt Like Sardines In A Crushd Tin Box would be #1. probably something from The Bends at #2. Airbag, Subterranean Homesick Alien, The National Anthem, Optimistic, Bangers + Mash or 15 Step could be #3.

Also, is it possible to hook a mini glitch up to a microphone? I feel like it would be good for some really lofi sounding stuff.
there's no xlr input but there are ways around it. i'd personally just hook it up to a vocal pedal, like one of the boss or tc ones & have mini glitch in chain.
My Radiohead song is probably "Nude" or "In Limbo".
