Do you fully weld the longitudinal connection of the duct? or whats the best type of connection on the longitudinal side of the duct to prevent air leakages?

We weld the longitudal seams if the duct process , or customer requires it . Generally this process of welding will prevent air leakage the best. We perform leak testing once the welds are completed to ensure there are no leaks present.

What ductwork material is best for residential use? I’m confuse between aluminum,galvanized steel and stainless steel.I have single family house need to replace my full duct which is in the basement and looking for best material.

Hello Sultaan! The type of material that you use for your ductwork is dependent a few factors. The best choice really depends on your home design, heat retention, and noise reduction requirements. We would recommend that you have a contractor come out to give you their advice.

I would use either 26 ga. or 24 ga. Thats all you need for residential use.
