I am a doctor and I would like to share my view on this.
Morphine in addition to relieving pain also has the effect of causing respiratory depression and in high doses that effect may cause the patient to die sooner. This also happens in normal people who are addicts and are using morphine or opiates for recreation only. So the question arises if we give it for pain alleviation to a dying patient it may also possibly expedite death if given in high doses.
As Sheikh said as long as it is prescribed by the doctor whose sole intention is pain alleviation and comfort and not the expedition of death.
Inna mal Amaal u binniyat.
Of course, it can cause him to die sooner.
Aren't there a lot of medicine that improve your condition but make you die sooner? Everyone will die eventually but we don't have to force ourselves to be in pain.

Is it not, that your time is written
Not a second longer or shorter, you can do to delay you death from what is written
@@ESKFmma So people who live on keto diet to remove their depression is committing haram because they are causing harm to their heart and blood pressure therefor resulting in an earlier death?
Almost every medicine have a side effect, some worse than others. It is also not haram to skip taking medication even if it causes you to die earlier in any of the 4 madhabs.
Its usually the interaction with benzodiazepine or alcohol for example that provoke respiratory depression, don’t you agree? Also we usually give fentanyl which is morphine+++++ to dying patients
I've heard a doctor in Palestine saying that a little girl who had her face soo much damaged that her teeth could be seen from outside , but there was no morphine available and the little girl had to die an excruciating death
May Allah protect our brothers and sisters in Palestine. He is the only one standing with them !
What I understood from the video and the comments is that as long as it is used to ease the suffering and pain that the patient is feeling, it's permissible. The one who has authority has to call the shots, basically. In this case, it's the doctor.
May Allah (SWT) grant the child jannah ameen❤

Subhan Allah! No medicine can take away the pain of death.
You’re totally missing the point. It’s not to lesson the pain of death but the pain the patient is in from the illness. OF COURSE pain killers are allowed in that situation.
@@hanbali1346 I agree. However, look at what's being said in the video and comments. 😐
Ur stupid
How do you know? Have you died and come back to life to share your first hand experience?
@samihassan2359 you could have asked politely if you intended to learn. Anyway, go learn the seerah of prophet muhammad sal allahu alyhi wassalam.
Also, study the tafseer of Quran and learn about sakaratul mout - death pangs.
Then come back to ask me the same question.
I as a paramedic have given morphine to people on palliative care, but only as prescribed by a doctor, it becomes a nessecity for some patients who are in their final hours of life to reduce suffering. Morphine is safe and effective at allowing the patient to relax. It’s been proven time and time again that it is not used to quicken death only to lessen the effects of pain and suffering that comes with it.
This guy never seen a dying person that why he is talking like that
@@nourahbinshember2147if you are a Muslim you should know, no amount of medicine can reduce the pain of dying
@@kaze1440 What do you mean? Please explain.
100% agree !
It’s extremely dangerous to use without a proper expert especially when most of the medicines we take has side affect!
Thank you 😇
Heartfelt Salah and Its Effect:
• Sheikh Salih Al-Fawzan (hafidhahullah) once said: True salah has an effect on how a person behaves and on his deeds. Allah said: "... and establish the salah. Salah certainly prevents against immorality and wrongdoing. And remembrance of Allah is greater." (Quran 29:45).
• If a person prays with a present heart, reverence, and consciousness of Allah’s greatness, then this will result in a prayer that benefits him, prevents him from immorality and wrongdoing, and brings about his success.
• But if someone merely performs the outward form of prayer without presence of heart or reverence while his heart is in one place and his body is in another, then this prayer of his does not produce a benefit for him.

Morphine is used in combat to reduce pain of a injured soldier, applied near the area of injury. Not sure where the idea of giving Morphine to reduce the pain of death come from. Pain of death and physical pain of injury are not the same or can not be the same. In second world war every soldier carried a medical kit that had morphine syrettes in it.
Wake up we are not in 1944 anymore. I dont know where your from but there are lots of places that give morphine as pain relief to people that have intense pain contstantly. especially to people who have no deen and wanna die sooner bcs they are in to much pain
@@BlackandScared I think he is using ww2 as an example.
In terminal illnesses
I believe the pain of death actually refers to the time when the soul is leaving the body. so when you give morphine, it may nullify/reduce Physical pain by disabling the neurons, but the spiritual pain will still be there. I feel like this would make more sense.
Iam nurse
We are not giving morphine for dying person..
Usually give in heart attack pain
How should he say ashaduallahillaha if he hallucinating
In basically all countries in the world Morphine will be prescribed by a doctor, and opoids will be in a special locker with a opiod registration. It will not be that there is just morphine laying around the counter and the family members requests it.
Is it possible to use morphine without getting intoxicated. I dont think so..
Morphine(also fentanyl) is among the most used(some say best) painkiller there is and it also gives a euphoric state of mind. So how can it both be ok if from doctor and not ok if intoxicating. Contradiciting..
