One of the few modern videos i've seen on a Volvo head swapped, and Cobra irs swapped SVO. I've always been intrigued by the Cobra irs swap, and the Volvo head swap looks like a marvel of engineering. beautiful car, the color is stellar.

Was a lot of work figuring out the swap as at the time only a few had managed it. The Cobra swap stuff was fairly easy as the main chassis really hadn't changed from 79 to 04.

Rough life poor girl well you'll get her back in no time.

She's had a rough life from what I've found. One quarters been replaced and I had to replace the front inner clip as it had been run into a ditch when I bought it in 06.

Pretty cool I remember this car from 15 years ago when i first got my 93 notch with a 2.3 turbo set up in it.

I'm surprised I still have it. Going on 18 years owning it. Doing the Folvo wasn't well known then.

@@AttwoodsGarage I was a jr in high school looking this car up on our classroom computers when they were still as big as a tv haha. The folvo swap is very impressive and hats off to you for all the machine work and fabricating. It’s unfortunate that 2.3t’s are dying out

Love it! 🤩 I used to want really bad to make that conversation back in the day for my 88 TC, including IRS.
It’s a damn shame Ford didn’t make them with twin cam head!

I did my swap after seeing Phil Marshal's Merkur back in 2006. Mine is surely not wound up like his, but it was fun figuring out how to make it work. Thank you for watching.

Amazing work on the engine!! Is there a webpage or documentation on how you adapted the head to the block? Just amazing!

Thank you. I don't have any, but there are several documented builds online. Google "Folvo", should pull those up.

Appreciate all the work you've done. That said, I'm confused with the t-tops. You seem pretty hardcore and the two, t-tops and hardcore, just don't mix.

I don't drag it and I grew up in the t-top era. Just something I like. Ive since built a tube bender and I'll build a roll bar for it. It does have full length frame ties. Thanks for watching!
