I use this gel faithfully every week. Since my natural hair stylist showed me how to use this gel topped with Innersense and/or Obia custard I’m hooked. I really don’t buy anything or need anything else. My WNG last 5-7 days. But seriously this works better on in the shower, soak and wet hair.

This gel is super humectant. I always always always layer another anti humectant gel on top. I use this gel as my base/leave in.

Since late last year this gel has become my holy grail. My hair responds so well to it and keeps it moisturized and mixes well with other products unlike Camille rose that doesnt alwaus in well with other products.

I love this gel but it gives a soft hold so I have to pair it with a mousse. The Doux mousse with the curl maker pairs really well for a wash and go

I use Uncle Funkys like a leave in, the hold is too soft for me. I have to follow up with a stronger hold gel. I like Uncle Funkys directly on my strands because the ingredients are bomb.
Thought I was here early 😂😂seems like everybody beat me to the party. I like the refresher spray but the scent of it is just too strong. It always gives me a headache.

It's like a less runny version of the kinky curly gel. Most of the ecostyler ones are too hard and make my hair shrink and stick together in ugly crispy clumps. And the wetline is even worse. The pink eco is good tho.
ClearAbyss I thought it was just me. Most of the strong hold gels dry my hair up and shrink like crazy.

I use way more than what you used. Definitely on soaked hair. My hair dries with a cast but not overly hard. My wash and goes last at leat a week. Oh, yeah no flakes.. Anyway, use more you were too light with the product in my opinion.

I personally love Uncle Funky's Daughter...it is my favorite gel. I thought your hair look nice but, I see what you mean with the roots of your hair not like when you use Wetline.

I love this product as it keeps my wash and go’s well moisturized!
I used that on soak and wet hair and I use ouidad mousse on top. It’s gets rid of that tacky feel. I get a some what medium hold.

Girl, we have similar curl patterns, and I knew that you would have volume and frizz, because that is the same thing that happens to my hair when I use it. I prefer Camille Rose for volume and definition and Eco for a heavier gel. Eco is my baby.
also, I know what works on me by what works on you as ive said a thousand times before lol so if i use this product itll be for a twist out only. I love GELS as well.

Love this gel with Cantu curl activating cream Omggggg!!! Game changer!! And it has a soft hold like your hair feels soft but for me it holds my hair and I love to refresh with it as well! Try pairing it with a good leave in ❤️
How do you refresh with it? Do you find you need a lot of water?

I love uncle Frankie‘s daughters gel I feel like I have to pair it with wet line in order to get a stronger hold for my hair as well.
Thanks for the content! I have ended up using Wetline Extreme to top off any custards I put on my hair if I want to eliminate frizz, get more days but have very moisturized hair. Wetline always comes to the resue for me :)

So for me I love to use a leave in and then the UFD on top by itself because for me I get a medium hold and a few days from it. BUT if I want more hold and more lasting power I’ll use a leave in, UFD and the (original) Wetline gel 👀 and I love that combo too. I say the original wet line because I haven’t tried the new version yet. But the UFD I’ll use it alone with a leave in or I’ll use it in place of like a cream in the LCG method because it does define my hair so well.

Happy Belated Mother's Day. I loooove UFD......BUT I have to use a foam (Design Essentials Platinum Medium Hold) or Trepadora Papaya Slip to get my hair to clump & hold. My WNN (wash n no because it's nothing quick about it lbvs) usually lasts 4-5 days. Love your videos

Interesting. I think the techniques must be different for Uncle Funky's vs Wetline. I am 4c and I learned how to do a wash n go with Uncle Funky's and Flaxseed gel. And since then I can't get anything else to work on my hair. I hear so much about Eco and Wetline, but I can't get them to work on my hair. I am just accustomed to how Uncle Funky's works and it is easier for me. Yes you have go use lots of water, but my hair feels moisturized. When I try Wetline, it might look ok for the first day, but is so dry and brittle. So I guess you just have to stick to what you know :)
I love this gel as a base gel. I still apply leave ins cause I don’t play that no leave in over here maybe in the future I’ll ditch leave ins and stick to just shampoo and deep condition then UFD and a topper. I top with style factor strong hold styling gel. That combo is a keeper I’ll still use other products because I’m looking for better more clean hair products like eco slay or natures little secret but I’m not ready to spend the money on the natural gels when I already have ufd but I’ll learn what my hair like through my hair journey

This gel just doesn’t work for me, I get frizz I get zero hold 😩
And my hair takes FOREVER to dry
It did take a LONG time to dry. And i didnt use much product at all.

No I don’t. I maya refresh my ends or in the back where it gets frizzy. And I may do that on day 4 or 5 hair. It all depends. It’s very rare that I’m refreshing these days.
No gel works on my hair every time i use gel one my hair dries the cast breaks and leaves my hair wet and puffy
