Roxana, you are equanimity embodied. I really appreciate how real your videos are, you show what has worked, what has suffered in weather, and you show weeds. But while this can often lead us gardeners to frustration or sadness, your calm and gentle encouragement of 'that's ok, that happens, this is part of life', so so welcome in an era of so many contrived social media vignettes that are so perfect, they are unattainable. Gracias por tu presencia en el mundo jardinero de TH-cam, es bienvenida y eres un rayo de sol!

The obelisk your hubby made for you is so special and the plant growing on it is lovely and just the right size. Wonderful video and I enjoyed the music! TFS! 🌷🐦

Love the drifts of pink tulips.
I had planted some tulips ages ago, maybe even decades ago. I know tulips aren't reliable to return. Another bunch I planted 3 or 4 years ago look really sparse this season. But a couple years ago, those old tulips came back! I'd long given up on them. I guess they were just laying low 😊 until they were ready. So sweet. Back then I thought 10 bulbs was a big amount.

In the future, if u want to plant tulips and keep the squirrels away, u can make small cages out of hardware cloth to fit around the bulbs before u plant them. I have done this for my tulips, and I didn’t lose a single one to squirrels. The tulips just push their leaves right thru the cages as they come up and none of them have had any issues blooming.

The mixed colored tulips look like a Fiesta! You must have perfect tulip growing conditions. I had a 'plum' tree a while ago, but here in Arkansas some kind of bug considered it a favorite. Since I don't like to use sprays I finally took it out. The night temps are still in the mid-low 40s, with some high 30s predicted, so I had to 'up pot' 30 zinnias and sunflowers today. I promised myself that I will not start seeds so early again!

Compared to mine, your garden does not look a mess, but I hear you. The snow has finally all melted and it will be warm enough this week to get busy. So much gopher damage and broken plants to clean up and trim. Your tulips are so vibrant and happy looking. Bridal wreath spirea grows like a weed here and I don't know why I don't have one, but I have two viburnums and I can't wait for them to bloom. I love the Spring, even all the bits we have to fix, clean up and move. It is what I wait months for! All your areas look amazing, and it is easy to see past what needs doing to the promise of what is to come. I just got to go dig up some lilac suckers from a friends house to get started, I have quite a few colors and this one is a dark, dark purple. I am so excited to add it to my collection.

@@eliev7844 It is a trade off, normally they are in between something (shrubs or perennials) so while they are dying other things are coming to life, I am ok with that.
