This is one of the first videos i see of him, and I was soooo relaxed after watching Then got to the other he does not quite match the whisper in those, as he does in this one I was a little disappointed actually Keep it up man! Love your vids anyways ❤
I never ever comment on TH-cam but I have to say The whisper videos are absolutely dominant. And there’s storytelling? and History??? I’m gonna watch this on repeat every night
@mythbusters866 If Bf1 why would black play Rh2 when they can just win with Ra2? (or Ra8, R2b4, R8b4) Or do you mean if white plays Bf1 instead of Bg2+? In that case, yes, it's mate in 5: 1. Rh8+ Kxh8 2. Bf1+ Rh2 3. Rxh2+ Kg8 4. Bxc4+ Kf8 5. Rh8# FEN, for anyone who wants a shortcut to set up the board: 1r4k1/8/5PP1/8/K1n3NR/7B/1r6/7R w
And of course, as mentioned in the video, 1. Nh6+ Kf8 2. g7+ Ke8 3. g8=Q# doesn't work because pawn promotion wasn't invented yet? The answer that would have been possible at the time: 1. Rh8+ Kxh8 2. Bf5+ Kg8 3. Rh8+ Kh8 3. g7+ Kg8 4. Nh6# Or 1... Rh2 3. Rxh2+ Kg8 4. Be6+ Kf8 5. Rh8# Also, if Kg8 then it's mate in 2: 2... Kg8 3. Be6 Kf8 4. Rh8
Such a great video on all accounts! I didn’t know about the differences of how pieces moved or acted in the past. It may be a really good future topic to try playing the old school way somehow.
Just wanted to echo other comments and say I reallllly love the all-whispered videos. Keeps the volume the same level throughout as we doze off. Not that your typical mixed whisper/spoken style is bad or anything! I just like that I can tell the overstimulated/obsessive part of my brain that yes, the volume isn't changing so you can relax enough to let me fall asleep lol. I also like the new overhead shots you're incorporating into the shotlist. Maybe strap a Go-Pro to a knight for a POV knight jump???? haha
I got most of the moves right, except for the bishop moving 2 squares. Ig you really do learn new things every day! Great video as always :D keep it up :)
sorry I've been out of town for the passed few days so wasn't able to watch your videos or post comments. But I was inspired by you and some of the people I know in real life, so Im making a podcast with some friends and trying to incorporate some ASMR elements into it. Its not gonna be anything near the quality of your videos, and its just something Im doing for fun. But just wanted to say thanks for the amazing videos and inspiration!!! (probably won't post the podcasts on my youtube, but maybe in the future who knows)
Couldn't you just move the bishop up and to the right (from viewer perspective) to get the same result? Sorry I'm not good with chess annotation but idk just seems like a solid solution and I'm surprised stockfish couldn't find it.
i am realising that you can actually solve this exact puzzle with current pieces. Rh8+, Kxh8; Bf1+, Kg8; Bxc4+, Kf8; Rh8# (as far as i can tell, every move by black is forced, except for 2. Kg8 can instead be Rh2; Rxh2+, Kg8)
I think I should do more puzzles... I love chess but I'm not very good. I practice and practice.. but find it hard to think of everything all at once and end up making one or two fatal mistakes and beat myself lol 😆 need more situational puzzle type play in my life
Hey there ❤. "shahi maat" sounds indian to my ear and not persian(im not sure tho).today we call it " Kish O Maat" which means check and mate in farsy(persian).😅
dude i solved the puzzle in a very short time without sacrificing anything, you check with the Knight, if king goes left you move Knight again discovered check and then move the rook on the square that is protected by the Knight, if king goes right, still check with Knight then with pawn and then promote pawn its mate!
After Nh6+ you have to play Kf8, g7+ Ke8 g8Q+ Kd7. It's clearly a winning position, because you can play Qxb8 Rxb8, but not checkmate instantly. But this only works with the modern rules
Stockfish couldn't solve this puzzle? I guess I'm better than Stockfish because I found the solution, and I didn't need to play by the old rules to do it. Rh8+ Kxh8 Bg2+ Kg8 Bb5+ Kf8 Rh8++
There is a faster mate Edit: I understand it's a puzzle but I don't understand why stockfish couldn't solve it just because of modern rules. It's mate in 3 with modern rules or mate in 4 with the rook sack
When the video started I was like hmm thats mate in 3 isn't it? And then when you explained that the rules were different it made a lot more sense to me 😁 Awesome video as usual!
I think you Will find what you are looking for in this video The Oldest Chess Pieces In The World & Their Incredible Story ♔ ASMR th-cam.com/video/IG8DaGfSkBo/w-d-xo.html
Oh my gosh, this is the kind of whispering I'm _talkin'_ about! Sooooo good dude! Incredibly relaxing! Great work dude! :D
This is one of the first videos i see of him, and I was soooo relaxed after watching
Then got to the other he does not quite match the whisper in those, as he does in this one
I was a little disappointed actually
Keep it up man! Love your vids anyways ❤
A puzzle video, AND history, AND whispering? I’ve never been more hyped in my life
Love the whispering videos, perfect for drfiting asleep to a magnificent ancient chess story
I never ever comment on TH-cam but I have to say The whisper videos are absolutely dominant. And there’s storytelling? and History??? I’m gonna watch this on repeat every night
Holy shit your not wrong this is your only comment
I missed your fully whispered videos, this is fantastic!
When I saw you make that Bishop jump, the Vine Boom sound effect played on my head because that was NOT what I expected 💀
Without substituting the bishop for a knight you can still force mate in 4:
1. Rh8+ Kxh8 2. Bg2+ Kg8 3. Bd5+ Kf8 4. Rh8#
@mythbusters866looks like you busted a myth
@mythbusters866

Also, if Kg8 then it's mate in 2:
2... Kg8 3. Be6 Kf8 4. Rh8
Great storytelling! Great Asmr! Your talent really showed in this one 😊
Such a great video on all accounts! I didn’t know about the differences of how pieces moved or acted in the past.
It may be a really good future topic to try playing the old school way somehow.
Once again showing your tremendous storytelling abilities. No one can bring chess alive quite like you can. Thanks for everything you do!
This is treasure, please make more whisper videos!!!!!
Top notch content as always, by far the greatest channel for a relaxing and deep understanding of chess and the stories related to it. Huge props! 🎉

Best type of asmr out there, love your videos!!
omg i LOVE your whisper voice!! i rewatch your other whispering video a lot so having a new one now is exciting!!
Love this whispering 😍
I like it when you tell stories like this
I like how you get right into it without the intro. It feels more like your shorts, which are amazing.
I like the way the pieces ended up outlining 2 crosses on the left and right sides of the board at the end of the Stockfish solution
I fell asleep and in my dreams I was playing chess
Love the whispering keep this up😇
This is fantastic, if you can do a longer one it would be perfect for going to sleep! So relaxing.
Haven't watched your channel in quite a while. The sound and production has been greatly improved. Nice work !
You know it's gonna be a good day when ASMR Chess posts another vid
I don't think there are enough synonyms for relaxing to describe this video
Please keep whispering like this in all videos, very relaxing video!
pleeeease do the chess history videos you mentioned in your Q&A like start of chess, pieces history, etc 🙏🏻❤ great video as always!!
Actually in Arabic the queen is still called "wazir" Wich means minister or consuler and the Bishop is call "feel" which means elephant
Ah, “feel” is probably the origin for the Spanish “alfil”.
maybe , not sure actually@@ASMRChess

History repeats itself. Chatgpt is really playing chess from 1000 years ago
My new favourite video from the channel, thanks a lot
And he sacrifices THE ROOK!!!!!!!
W vid love your content ❤❤❤❤
I don’t know why, but whispering has always kinda freaked me out, so what I do is turn the volume low and turn on subtitles
Good solution!
Ngl I laughed out loud where you said the prince would have been better off letting his wife play the games
The persian Way of saying Checkmate is the way germans say it. 'Schach matt'
Love your stuff! Is knight h6 not an option as the first check for white? Then pawn g7 and only then activate the rooks
Yeah I can tell that you improved your whispering and it's just satisfying!
Sacrifice THE ROOOK
i love the whispering
This is so good. Thanks.
I like the whispering in this video. In many other videos there is too much "voice" in the talking. This soft whisper is perfect.
Good video keep up the great work
Had me in the first half ngl
Excellent sound in this one!
Love the video. Could you please add the names in the description so that we can learn more about them?
In my language is still Sah Mat for checkmate
I missed the whispering videos. It calms my anxiety
A good video idea, would be to explain and even possibly go through a game of the old style/rules of chess.
You should do a video on your various chess boards seems like you a have quit me a few, love the videos
This position begs the question how he got his king out of earshot of all his royal subjects in the first place
Did anybody else notice the missing description?
i am realising that you can actually solve this exact puzzle with current pieces. Rh8+, Kxh8; Bf1+, Kg8; Bxc4+, Kf8; Rh8# (as far as i can tell, every move by black is forced, except for 2. Kg8 can instead be Rh2; Rxh2+, Kg8)
am i missing something, tell me if im wrong. in original position, cant we go
Rh8+ Kxh8
Bg2+ Kg8
Bd5+ Kf8
Rh8#
?
More whisper videos 🫠
the bishop in this puzzle was actually the elephant piece
I'm pretty sure that bishop move still exists in most chess variants these days. The most notable example is Chinese chess
Is it just me or did I find another way?
Not a guarantee but a good alternative
Us persians still don't call the queen "queen". We still call it the minister
It's Shahtranj. Maybe Fairy-Stockfish could have a go at it, since it can play Shahtranj.
I think I should do more puzzles... I love chess but I'm not very good. I practice and practice.. but find it hard to think of everything all at once and end up making one or two fatal mistakes and beat myself lol 😆 need more situational puzzle type play in my life
Mate still works with the modern bishop :
Rh8+ Kxh8 Bg2+ Kg8 Bd5+ Kf8 Rh8#
Could you include the name of the creator of the puzzle in the description? I'd like to learn more about that poem.
Hey there ❤.
"shahi maat" sounds indian to my ear and not persian(im not sure tho).today we call it " Kish O Maat" which means check and mate in farsy(persian).😅
Why does my computer fond it if even stockfish couldn't ?
dude i solved the puzzle in a very short time without sacrificing anything, you check with the Knight, if king goes left you move Knight again discovered check and then move the rook on the square that is protected by the Knight, if king goes right, still check with Knight then with pawn and then promote pawn its mate!
You are wrong
the good old asmr chess nice one!
I thought I had a modern solution then realized there was a third way for the rooks to mate :c
It has one, or am I wrong? Rh8+ Kxh8 Bf1+ (Rh2 Rxh2+) Kg8 Bxc4+ Kf8 Rh8#
@@nilsg4695Yeah, you can mate starting with Kh6 too.
Thats actually the way we say checkmate in Czech. Sach Mat, exactly the same pronounciation🤣
There actually 4 mate for black because each rook can move to b4
So fun with the old ruy
YEESSS YOU DID IT
In danish it’s called: “skak (i) mat” instead of checkmate
Bro, so your basically saying that my dad used 1000 year old chess rules to win against me 😂
More whispering videos please 👏🏻
Sah mat is what we call it in my country and it's close in pronunciation to that persian saying...
We say "shakki matti" which might not look the same but it sounds surprisingly similar to the persian too
So This was The first: “THE ROOOOOOK!!!!!”?
The first we know of at least :)
Brother can you make a video about the history of chaturanga and some "gameplay"?
Prince Muadib? More like God Emperor Muadib! Lisan Al Gaaib!
Isn’t knight h6 king h8 knight f7 king g8 rook h8 checkmate?
After Nh6+ you have to play Kf8, g7+ Ke8 g8Q+ Kd7. It's clearly a winning position, because you can play Qxb8 Rxb8, but not checkmate instantly. But this only works with the modern rules
@@nilsg4695Ur Right
@mythbusters866 oh yeah, the bishop, missed it
@mythbusters866 with the old rules, the pawns can't promote, when I listened right. So with this rules Nh6 wouldn't be a threat
How about this chess puzzle with modern rules
we sleeping good tonight 😔✊
Ain't nobody talking about the knight check where the spine of the L was 4 spaces long.
Edit: in hindsight there may he a rule I am ignorant of.
I think white can win the game even with modern chess rules with: Rh8 Kxh8, Bg2+ Kg8, Bd5+ Kf8, Rh8#
Bf1+ and Bc4+, with the option to give the rook for one move longer for black seems a bit nicer, but this one is more precisely
@@nilsg4695Even faster would be Nh6+ Kh8, g7+ Kh7, Bf5#
Stockfish couldn't solve this puzzle? I guess I'm better than Stockfish because I found the solution, and I didn't need to play by the old rules to do it.
Rh8+ Kxh8
Bg2+ Kg8
Bb5+ Kf8
Rh8++
In German it’s “Schach Matt” and is pronounced pretty similar to how you did in the video.
"Shah Matt" it means "king is dead" in arabic
ASMR Chess You should play against stockfish level 8.
Chessboard?
Description
Knight g5 isn't a check
Perfect video 📹 👌 👏 ❤ 😍 ♥
There is a faster mate
Edit: I understand it's a puzzle but I don't understand why stockfish couldn't solve it just because of modern rules. It's mate in 3 with modern rules or mate in 4 with the rook sack
The moves Stockfish suggests wouldn’t be legal at the time.
@ASMRChess righttt. Yeah I forgot that stipulation lol
When the video started I was like hmm thats mate in 3 isn't it? And then when you explained that the rules were different it made a lot more sense to me 😁
Awesome video as usual!
