- Saying that a game has 0 flaws might be an overstatement, but I really believe that this game is more than that, it excels at every single thing it does
The joy, the adrenaline, the hype and the anger this game gave me is something unique that I'll never forget.
Let me tell you all about Pizza Tower, a Wario Land inspired platformer that climbed its way to become one of the best games I've ever played

This game looks like it was made in MSpaint yet it looks better than most other games out there right now. The amount of soul and sauce it exudes is just legendary.

Gotta buy this game, from what I can tell P ranks have that same satisfaction you get from S ranks in Sonic Unleashed where everything has to be nailed down to the wire. And I'm all about that

as long as your combo is going, you can trip on your third leg and still get back on your feet

For real, though, as someone who popped in and out of the streams (due to internet) and has been interested in Wario-likes recently, it was a blast watching you play Pizza Tower and it's made me want to pick it up as well. Though I don't the willpower to fully P-rank it like you did. No P-ranks for meeeee 😬

I remember playing Wario Land 3 on my cousins GBA SP when I came over and I even finished it. I really liked it, but I didn’t think far beyond that. Then on some odd day, my cousin texted me why the pizza tower stream trailer and I was immediately hooked. I downloaded it, played it, and absolutely loved the game. Like seriously if the video couldn’t convince you, ignore your mind and play it NOW.
Pizza Tower is to platformers as Enter the Gungeon is to roguelike dungeon crawlers. Refinement and polish to an insane degree.
Funny enough a friend yesterday suggested me Enter the Gungeon, might give it a peek someday
this video is great! I also sorta judged Pizza Tower by its cover, but when I did play it I fell in love and found the Wario games that inspired it to be great. Also incredibly funny, "Nut Suckers Online" and the Tajin snorting got me lmao

As someone who's known about Pizza Tower for years (they've been pretty open about their development, and have released a number of demos throughout the years), and as someone who got into it BECAUSE I loved Wario Land and miss it, it brings me a lot of joy to see people getting into it and sharing their love for it and their newfound love for Pizza Tower like this. There's a lot I like about Wario Land, both old and new(er), I'd recommend also playing the first Wario Land, Virtual Boy Wario Land, and Wario Land: Shake It! if you ever get the chance. Admittedly they'll feel like a bit of a downgrade compared to Pizza Tower, but they're all still fun games in their own right.
On the subject of Pizza Tower, though, I think a key part of it's appeal is something the Wario Land does that the Super Mario games don't, that is, make it fun to play as a certain character. Wario is capable of doing things Mario can't and that's reflected in the Wario Land games, most especially Wario Land 4. Pizza Tower expands upon that idea by having Peppino just be a blast to play as, particular as he's running through enemies. I can't fully express in words just how fun it is to simply play this game, to the point where I doubt I'd be compelled to go for P-Ranks and unlock all the clothes if I wasn't enjoying myself while doing so. Even now, as the year is winding down, I still feel that Pizza Tower is a GOTY contender, purely for it's gameplay and design, and that's something I hope people acknowledge come awards season.

I will give you my opinion on the Wario land series:
Wario Land 1 - Different but feels like a better version of Super Mario Land 2
Wario Land 2 - The series became its own thing and I like the alternate paths
Wario Land 3 - takes Wario Land 2 and makes it better by adding alternative paths when you get a certain treasure
Wario Land 4: Fast based platforming which can get a bit tricky because of the level design, but still I like the charm the game has
Finally someone who acknowledges that Wario Land 1 is very similar to Mario Land 2 and is an actual sequel to it, everything I see everyone say about it is that the "Mario Land 3" title was just slapped on solely to boost sales and nothing else when that's really not very true. Sure you play as Wario instead of Mario but the game is very much like Mario Land 2 and unlike the later Wario Land games, which became their own unique (and awesome) thing.
