- Did you know Pizza Tower has mods? Did you know that Pizza Tower has FULL RESKINS of Peppino? And finally, could you have ever guessed that there would be a full on Pokemon makeover with Eevee as the playable character??
We take on the entirety of Pizza Tower today, from start to finish, and try to get the Quick as Hell achievement, by beating the game in under 2 hours! Will we be able to make it happen?

To awnser your question about cloth palette : it's just a single sprite that determine which color is what. The're no need to redo animation for each palette swap.

When eevee turns into a ghost the image in the tv is holding a brick! I think its a reference to a tumblr post about evolving a eevee to a ghost type with the evolutionary stone being a brick.

Every Pokemon Reference you guys didn't get quite right
-The Forknights are replaced with Escavalier, a Gen 5 mon. While not directly related to the Shellmet line, they are undeniably linked as both must be traded with one another for each to evolve.
-The character in the Pizzascape title card is Wikstrom, a steel-type Elite Four member from Gen 6.
-That is in fact the evolution of the bunny, Cinderace. Not entirely sure why they're a pirate though....
-The Snowmen are replaced with Eiscue, a Gen 8 mon.
I'm willing to bet the pirate costume is a skin for Cinderace in Pokemon Unite.

Shelmet and Karrablast have a unique evolution only available by trading with the other.
Karrablast, in the trade, steals Shelmet’s armor and evolves into Escavalier.
Shelmet, who loses the armor, evolves into Accelgor.
I think machoke and gravelor were going to evolve like karablast and shelmet do now.
I feel for anybody wanting to create a full character mod in Pizza Tower.
Peppino has SO many frames of animation to remake that it would take so much effort to fully replace him
5000k+ sprites, even the most popular mods like pizzelle and noise aren't complete unlike this one
Been looking into this mod and it looks like its still a wip, and eventually all the enemies will be replaced with pokemon, just yesterday Pillar John got replace with something i have yet been able to check. Also for mods to reccomend with the advent of the Create Your Own Pizza level editor we’ve been getting some really cool custom levels and I’d just love to reccomend Other Tower by Samwow. There are only two levels but they both look extremely cool

I was really hoping the toppins would be changed to be the evolution stones. That or chibi versions of some of the eeveeloutions

they didnt actually manually recolor every sprite for the different skins, the way it works is that peppino's sprites are always drawn in a yellow outfit, and then depending on what skin you're using, the yellow is changed through some chroma key layer thing i dont understand to match it. they do the same with gustavo and fake peppino, and they had to make it yellow so that the eyes wouldnt change
EDIT: also the reason snotty was just a green bidoof is because the game does the same thing for snotty! hes not actually a different sprite, the game engine just recolors the cheeseslime to be green
The fact that they even went and redid Eeveeno and Pikastavo for the opening and menu and stuff is excellent.
The feeling when you didn't check the video length, hear Ian talking about beating the game in under two hours, then realizing you have a lot more of this to look forward to than you thought.
Oh wow, and the title cards and TV and enemies and stuff, too! This is an absurd about of art done for this!
As far as what kind of animal Eevee is, I feel like it's some kind of combination of dog, cat, and fox.
There's a couple pizza places near me with a "make your own pizza" option on the menu, so if I had to pick just one restaurant, it would be one of those.
That Ditto fight sure was something!
With how the play is here it almost feels like Ian hasn't touched the game for a month or something. Crazy.

I think that was based on the actual scrapped idea of a ghost-type evolution. It was supposed to be part of a haunted mansion, or an amulet or a place-holder for entering a haunted house and leveling up (from fighting ghost-type pokemon or rare candy), something like that, I forget. But when someone pointed out it looked like a brick, the designer got upset, and scrapped the entire evolution idea. That's what I heard, anyway, ...or the pic in this mod is just from the old joke about the ghost-type evolution, and it just so happens to remind me of that trivia.
Patafoin (The creator of the mod) has a TH-cam channel where they post animations of Sonic and Pokemon, they've done a lot of Eeveelution animations (Which is where the name Plume comes from)

If we're on the topic of mods, did you know that there's actually a modding community for _Pikmin?_
Specifically Pikmin 2, but a lot of good stuff's come from there. Things like _Pikmin 251_ and _Power Cut: Blackout_ are a pair to recommend.
I might've commented this before, but alongside that is the _Pikmin 1^2_ hack that's set to release sometime in August that *I* actually helped work on! It takes Pikmin 1 and puts it in 2's engine, as well as a whole new New Game + that I wrote most of the music for! It'd be _particularly_ awesome to see that be covered on the channel since it's been in the oven for the better part of two years now
there's a mod in development that replaces peppino with kanaya maryam homestuck and gus with rose, and it is very good so far :)
i recommend you the DMCA tower mod, it changes all of the sounds and songs in the game for unhinged memes
OMG all the taunts are the poses of all the eeveeloutions in their official artwork.
In Oregano Desert, you didn't "game over" that guy. He walked right into Plume's flaming rear end, it's on him. He was apparently using Plume as a weapon to "game over" himself.
If there is one fanmade level that needs to be seen a lot more, it's golf 2. I won't spoil anything here, but it is a trip and a half.
I friggin love this mod, I already P ranked every level as Peppino, and now I’m going to P rank every level as Eevee (and Pikak) on a different save file
Edit: Hang on, the mod got updated to have Pokémon replace some of the enemies as well? That’s new, I’m gonna have to check out this newer version

You should definitely check out Hollownest vocalize and just a heads up every single line of text in the game has a voice actor I also recommend you watch the trailer before you play it because oh my god that trailer is amazing

Eevee is stated to be based on some kind of fox, though it's clearly ambiguous as to what kind specifically.

I both love and hate the fact that Ditto was the best choice to replace Fake Peppino. Jokes aside, I havent seen many Pizza Tower mods, but this mod looks absolutely AMAZING!
Seeing Peppino and Gustavo appear in the previous versions makes me imagine that they existed there and were the trainers/owners of eevee and pikachu lol

When it comes to the costumes in the game, it's color's that specifically replace a specific shade of yellow, 2 shades actually, with what ever color or palette there you choose.

If the small indie developer that makes no money off their project says "you can make things based off my project and sell it and I wont be mad" then its fine to do that.

Another sprite swap mod you should look for is the Pinkie Pie mod. It has a lot of good swaps, like the toppings all being cake-themed rather than pizza-themed, Fake Pepinno is also somebody else and even Pizza Head is modded as another character.

There's other reskin mods of the other pizza tower characters beaides noise. Pepperman, vigilante, and Fake peppino are currently in the works I think, and vigilante and pepper man have slightly changed playstyles. A mod that I'd love to see, and potentially an entire side series, is lap 3.

I've been trying to combine the eevee mod with lap hell. Ptuce does it but that has a different lap 3 style in areas that require nerfs than lap hell. So I have to do it manually and it sucks.
If it were easier I would say they should keep stacking the mods that they play.
