You can use vegetable shortening, coconut oil, vegetable oil any thing that doesn’t have flavour to thin out the candy melt. Just a tsp hope that helps you
Miss Collins Collins there is oil candy colors that will dye the candy melts without seizing them. I think lavender should be available soon though with Easter coming soon.
Welcome Angie! I have a couple tricks up my sleeve to get my chocolate the consistency that I like. I will admit that using Wilton brand melts is not my favorite. I prefer to use Guittard A'Peels. If I use a color melt then Wilton is the most accessible brand for me where I live. I melt my candy wafers in the microwave at 50% power in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until they are all melted. Many times I put in a handful of Guittard A'Peels to help with the consistency, if that doesn't work, then I mix in a small amount of Paramount Crystals. I hope that helps and I will answer any other questions. Thanks!
I like this...lavendar is a good color.

Hello, Is there a way to make the candy melts not so sweet?
Hello! Not that I know of! I have found that not adding frosting to the cake dough helps cut back on the sweetness some. Hope that helps!
Lori's Baking Love thank you!!
