Your videos are so inspiring! Could you show us a tutorial for an asymmetric open arch? I am a DIY bride am going to be ordering the mauve and cream collection. I would love to know whether it’s feasible to set up a day or two prior and to get and idea of how much extra I’ll have to order. Thanks again for all the incredible content your provide!
We have a tutorial dropping soon with an open/broken arch! If you're working with floral foam you can definitely "build" the floral parts of the arch a day or two ahead of time, however, you'll want to wait to install the floral until the day of the wedding. Are you looking to completely cover the arch or have 2 floral pieces offset from one another?
I love the flower combo. It's beautiful! Question: how does a diy bride make sure the flowers are secured into the foam so they don't fall out when the location is a windy rooftop overlooking a lake... What I'm saying is WINDY location!
Oooo that's a great question! Anything with height will be kinda tricky. If you keep the flowers low in the foam, that will create less real estate for the wind to take off with. You'll want to cut your stems short enough so the heads of the flowers are close to the foam. Instead of doing an arc, you could also do a grounded arch or ceremony urns. These will still give you a beautiful floral presence, but won't take away from the view!
When using a floral foam cage, you'll want to soak the foam ahead of arranging the flowers. You can arrange the flowers while the cage is lying flat and then I like to take a small watering can and our water through the flowers into the foam to ensure that the foam stays wet. Doing this will allow you to make the arrangements ahead of time. When using the Oshun pouch, we had the most success with building on the day of!
Can you soak foam all night . I saw a video where a woman said she soaks her foam all night before weddings ? Also wouldn’t it be hard to build ahead then put on arch wouldn’t it be too heavy . And lastly when you say water it do you put arrangement on something so floor doesn’t get all wet or what ?
Honestly, the editing/comment adlibs in this video are hilarious! 😂 the arch is gorgeous, too
Thank you! We try to keep things light!

Love it ❤
The bind wire, is that actual wire or almost like string?
It's a raffia covered wire! It's easy to pull tight but has a softer and more natural look that plain old floral green wire.
@@FlowerMoxie when I looked at it it looks like string. Thanks

Can this be followed for fake flowers?
Absolutely! The Oshun pouch is designed specifically for fresh floral, but you can use the same thought/application process and achieve the same look!
Can you build the day before the wedding and just keep the mechanics in water?
* build the arrangements, keep in water and then attach to the arch the morning of?
