The map device animation still shows six portals. I bet failing a map means not finishing it within six portals. Either you die six times or you abandon the map and the instance times out. If you could only die once, you wouldn't need more than one portal. A lot less loot drops, so you don't need to find a merchant five times.
"If you die, then the map can no longer be run and you will have to find another way around to get to the areas behind it" ---- At least in the reveal, they seemed pretty clear that a single death bricks the map. I'd assume that the portals are there for carrying out loot, leaving to do a trade, or bringing some friends along.
this game has more endgame content in early access than every game ever released. the endgame has endgame and then that endgame has 4 tiers of endgame but then if you go to the other endgame that endgame has 4 tiers of endgame and it just goes on forever and ever. path of endgame 2 confirmed
4:20 this dont make sence. why you can only die once if when the show opening a map you have six portals. every map you can die six times but the maps resets to the beging so you have to do evertying again. you fail the map when you consume the six portals.

Hey fellas - I'm completely new to PoE. What class do you think I should start with? (have played loads of Diablo and not new to gaming in general so I think the WSAD mvt mechanic should be ok). I keep on watching videos and omg the depth of this game is insane :P [I find appealing the mage with time control stuff. Generally in loads of other games I enjoy more ranged than melee] Thanx in advance for your experienced replies - x -
First up, I recommend checking out my video on classes and ascendancies: th-cam.com/video/zI1OF_cxJAM/w-d-xo.html But second of all, if you want to play ranged then I'd recommend the Sorceress (Stormweaver) or Ranger (Pathfinder/Deadeye). There's probably going to be a lot more ranged builds available but those look the most beginner friendly. If you're interested in Chronomancer then go for it! Worst case you should be able to respec into a Stormweaver later.
Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't. There's going to be a good bit of RNG involved with the loot because that's the point of the genre. If every boss always dropped something good they'd need to be so rare/difficult that most players would never see them.
I don't know, I haven't gotten to try the game yet, but since they're supporting local co-op I think they've put significant effort into making it feel good.
Why are there 6 portals if you fail the map when you die?

For a moment I thought that you were going to say that Jonathan himself has his own tree.
You know, that would have been a good joke!
Same 😂
I have u know that I like d4 conduit shrines , when I don't click them. Nice vid , keep it up.
Ppl keep saying this game is going to be groundbreaking but tbh it seems nothing new and even reused in parts. Hope I’m missing something
Good to see you back in the PoE realm. Miss your vids, hope you plan on being a big part of PoE again.
Thanks! I'm very excited for PoE2.

tell me you noticed the white numbers at the top right of a monster s health bar... DO WE HAVE NUMBERS IN POE 2? that would be INSANE
Yes, in particular we have Elden Ring style damage numbers :D
monk looks so sick im normally not a monk guy in games but in poe2 it looks fast and flashy with also magical abilities so definetly picking monk

You forgot the endgame trees.

poe2 end game looks like Delveing on the Atlas, yes please.
Yeah it's pretty much atlas delving.

@@Tenkiei thanx homie! :)
your narration reminds me of how Jonathan sounds :)
Other games: We have Skill tree
PoE : We have Passive Skill tree AND Atlas tree
POE2: ......... Forest......... Basicaly forest
It's almost like 7 atlas trees, base, bossing, breach, expedition, ritual, delirium, pinnacle.
I just hope these bosses doesnt drop 1 chaos items like in poe1 or ill be sad
