    Hello .that piece of tube is a tool to get the manometer out .
    This gun is a semi auto design that wil not work at 12 ftpound ..thats needs the fac output setting . And then its performing at the speed advertised .
    The valve is a balanced type .that wil close faster when the pressure is high and stays open longer when the pressure falls . Its not fitted with a regulator .because its ment to be semi auto .and regs needs time to fill a plenum or chamber

      Hi Peter, thanks for clearing that up! Yet another example where turning an airgun down to sub 12 messes everything up. Really appreciate your feedback. Thanks for watching and all the best.

      Your welcome Alan. Hate knocking a rifle but people need to know what they're buying and as Peter says, it won't work sub 12 as it's set up for semi-auto. Makes sense now. All the best.

    Hello Mark and thanks for taking the time to review this gun.
    I must admit I like the slightly shorter review format.
    A short while ago we spoke about the Kral NP500 in the comments and I was less than happy with the design and quality of the adjustable cheek riser. Well, the gun has let me down again. The power has fallen from 11.5 to 8.3 in less than 3 weeks from purchase with the power adjuster giving a 500FPS variation.
    Service from the Sheffield, Hackenthorpe retailer has being superb. We'll get it sent back for you, no if's, but's or maybes.
    I'm just wondering Mark, did you manage to get hold of a EBA XV2 for review?

    • @theGunLocker
      @theGunLocker  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Malc, I remember. So I spoke with the rep about the XV2 and he said he would arrange an account for me to review their guns...then nothing! I'm not one to beg and it doesn't look good on their firm.

    I feel that I must come to the rifles defence. I watched andys airgun reviews yesterday and he was putting the Snowpeak M16 through it's paces at 40m and achieved superb results with QYS pellets. As the barrels are probably manufactured identically I would suggest using these pellets on a re-take. It would be an interesting program if you manage to achieve anywhere near the same results as the M16 and would show just how fussy some barrels are to certain pellets. Unfortunately he didn't mention the exact type of QYS pellet.

    • @theGunLocker
      @theGunLocker  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Strange how you never see the target in the distance???? And by the way, his wife owns Vector Air and they've probably just bought a batch of Snowpeaks....just saying! All the best.

      @@theGunLocker Well, get some QYS pellets and put your accusations to the test. It will be interesting. They'll either transform the barrels performance or it will remain a dog.

    • @theGunLocker
      @theGunLocker  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      What accusations? Just stating facts. And as regards QYS pellets, I use what I'm supplied with and if my supplier hasn't got any QYSs because he fell out with the rep as in his words "he's an absolute d*%K", I'm limited to what I can put through a barrel. Also, if a barrel is so pellet fussy that it will only accept one type of pellet, would you buy it? I doubt it very much. All the best and thanks for watching.

    Wish I'd seen this review before I bought the M40s, the accuracy is truly appaling at 30mtrs, I have just taken mine back to the gunshop who are going to investigate with Snowpeak's UK supplier! I can see me buying some thing different. I have tried HWS, JSB RAPID and Exact, Falcon Accuracy plus and rifle is useless I cannot possibly use this for hunting!

    • @theGunLocker
      @theGunLocker  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The one I had to review had had its hammer spring clipped by the importer to bring it under 12ft lbs. Completely mucked up the whole shot cycle. Absolute rubbish and shame on the importer for doing so.

      Yup it does...but as Peter said in the comments, it's set up as a semi-auto and cannot work sub 12. One to be aware of... All the best and thanks for watching.

    if center point is your go to scope you are not a serious shooter are you?

    • @theGunLocker
      @theGunLocker  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually... maybe it's because I don't feel the need to over-scope a sub 12ft lbs rifle shooting at 30m. Does that make me a non-serious shooter? Or does that simply make you an individual whose never met me, never shot against me and certainly doesn't know what I'm capable of?

    • @le3045acp
      @le3045acp 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i didnt mean it in a bad way i just find center point scopes to be very wishy washy and not dependable im sorry i worded it in such a negative way at you

      @@le3045acp When I review a rifle I always keep newbies in mind. Not many have limitless funds and everything in the shooting scene is expensive. Look at the price of mounts...£150+ for a reasonable one piece! Pellets now almost £20 a tin for crap. It can be disheartening for someone with a tight budget, so I try to keep it affordable and show newbies what they can achieve with budget stock. When I learnt to shoot 40 odd years ago, I had a Nikko Stirling 9x scope and it was the most basic of scopes by today's standards but I could still shoot the heads off those small plastic soldiers at 27 yards! Sometimes making do can teach you a lot more... that's my belief. Anyway, thanks for the apology. I'm always more than happy to chat and give my honest opinion. All the best.

      again sorry i started the same way with simmons and tascos and you are right i will say there are a few cheap scopes out there that are pretty darn good i just hate center points personally because everytime id pick the rifle up to shoot i would have to adjust the poi and with better scopes i dont but i understand exactly where you are coming from sorry we started off on the wrong foot lmao keep up the good work sir@@theGunLocker

      It's woefully underpowered. Guess once it at 30+ ft lbs, it will perform better.
