It's so short range and takes so long to load, doesn't have explosive or rapid fire attachments and requires so much precision that you have to essentially stand still to get a good shot in. The gun was great in doom 2 but it isn't that useful in this game considering the absolute calibre of the enemies you face from arena to arena.

I don't think I've ever seen a game look as good as this. So many different and great looking environments. Just on Earth there are so many interesting and varied environments. Ice, urban, consumed cities. But except for Earth we have Hell, Sentinel Prime, Mars, Mars Space stations and Urdak

I've always wondered: is the Doomslayer really compassionate to his fellow human-kind, or is he just angry? I'd like to think he once was, but his fury has long-consumed him. Fighting an eternal battle for humanity while he loses his own. Again, maybe I'm reading too into this, but id Software did such a good job with the story and lore of this franchise.
Yeah i noticed it was weird how he abandoned the brotherhood of the night sentinels so quickly and yet in the lore hes meant to have a high ranking soldier

Y'know, I do wonder what was going on in the Slayer's mind when the Khan Makyr said that. "I can give you back what the demons took from you." Of course the Doom Slayer would stop at nothing to save Earth, but you have to wonder, would he take the offer?
Well remember, the one known as the betrayer was also given that offer. To have his son resurrected. But he was betrayed and his son became the Icon of Sin. The Doom Slayer knows never to trust the word of a demon or a Makyr.
When you think about those flashbacks and the way he never talks... The dude has severe PTSD from the arena and hellish invasion on Mars to begin with. He must've had Vietnam flashbacks in that arena. Fortunately, the Gladiator demon was there, so the Slayer could take it all out on him.

bro why do u stit still infront of him and THEN strafe left and shoot when he flails u... stay moving to the side the entire time and keep crosshairs on him,,,, lmaoooo and use up ballista then chainsaw instead of using chainsaw after every 2 rockets

I just realized the Sentinels chant "rip and tear" as a salute. That's badass and a testament to Doom Slayer's inspiring defeat of that Titan.

When even the legends themselves, sentinel primes greet him at his own home. EPIC GAME.
In the lore he ended up accidentally finding them and then worked his way up to there leader thats how he became doom slayer
