@@iamjuryver12 It only takes 3 to 5 years to grow a stable closed canopy forest in the tropics, sure its not the same as a old forest but its the start of a future one.
I hope we can do what is needed to save the rainforest. More education is needed as to where our food is sourced. If Brazil can make more money with the rainforest than without they could be encouraged to reforest the degraded land
The question is not if we can but if we want to,Because if we focused on colonizing space and taking care of the earth, we would have forests all over Brazil in 5 years
The biggest problem with the EU deforestation regulations is that they are shifting the “responsibility” to the local farmers. Brazilian Amazon is definitely mostly destroyed by bigger companies, but there, and in other areas in the world, are small farmers that are being penalized by this regulation and losing sales of their produce just because they are near a deforestation area, most likely not caused by them. So yes, the north gets to have products from areas that are “not affected by deforestation” but at the cost of taking the livelihood of millions of small farmers that had nothing to do with the damage bigger companies are doing
These farmers are now forced to find ways to prove they are not practicing deforestation, spending huge amounts of money on expensive certifications, traceability software, satellite imagery, etc, just to find ways to keep selling the things they grow and make a living. And these are usually people in remote areas with low income, barely, if any, phone/internet connection and with usually no money to buy a phone for the household for example
❤ this channel. It’s the huge and multinational companies that are the cause. Seriously, if we are to survive as a species, we need to go local again… raise our own meat and vegetables- small scale, OR hunt and gather again! World domination and greed, profit and productivity above all else are mindsets that need to go extinct.
Note about your editing, try not to say “fossil fuel burning” while showing cooling towers of a nuclear power plant, don’t want the public making that subconscious connection. Otherwise love your content keep it up :-)
Love the videos you guys make! I wish there was more emphasis on how harmful and unsustainable animal agriculture is. 70 odd percent of all soya grown is grown exclusively for feedlots, the majority of this soya is grown through deforestation. Meat is such a waste not only of the planet but the billions of animals we slaughter daily (yes, billions if you include fish) and this is not to even discuss the pure torment and torture animals endure for us to have food we typically end up throwing away.
I don’t believe meat is the main issue, instead I believe it is specifically meat industry’s in poorer and less technologically advanced countries way of gaining profits and that most the most advanced countries such as the USA and Britain encourage them Cows are sustainable (not pigs and chickens), we should all only buy non imported foods and grass fed cow meat
Do you think we can still save the Amazon rainforest? 🤔
Thank you for your incredible support on our latest video! 💚
But, it doesn't stop here, since the deforestation is declining, is reforestation in Brazil possible this decade and 2030?
I believe that in 2032, we might be at a negative deforestation rate
God pray we can.❤🙏🌳🌴

We are not going to be colonizing space for a long time yet.
Thank you, we needed some good news. 😊 we need to save the rain forest. ♡

Looks like overproduction of meat is main issue. Reduction might be first step in right direction.
Very comprehensive, great video
Thank you for a great video.
Return the whole amazon to indigenous sovereignty problem solved

Hey Regis, i have an explanation, why is Lula planning to save the Amazon rainforest? and also climate change and global warming.
Because the Amazon is a centerpiece of Brazil and Is critical in stopping climate change from happening too quickly
Going vegan is the greatest single choice that the average person can do for the environment
They need to put more vegan products on the store shelves. It's hard to go vegan when most of the products are meat.
Vegan eat soya...
More forest will be destroyed to plant soya.
:)

Any farming could be sustainable if done right. The problem if it is not feasible by the economy
Excellent video 👍
