    Nice film again Daz. Takes me back to the days of me and my Scott Navajo.

      Hello Sophie, I have a road bike video coming up for you but I'm loving the MTB at the moment. I've rekindled the live again. Scott used to be a big player in the mountain bike scene. I'm not sure where they are now. The light nights are ace aren't they.

      MrDazP1, dying to tell you did my century yesterday. Did the Trough from the Dunsop side at 60 miles in. About 13:00pm. Hot. Agree it’s harder that way. Took 7.5 hrs total riding time. 9.5 hours total.
      I could easily get on my MTB again. My cousin and his lad are into it. It looked thrilling your ride.

      Fantastic stuff. I bet you were well pleased with you're self. It was scorchio too yesterday so a big kudos from me. The Trough is such an amazing place to ride also and on the bike you get to see so much of it.

      Yes that's what I always think at the bottom of a long descent. Back in one piece.

    Hi Daz, another belting video, many thanks. Really enjoyed watching this one too. Never done that descent, will have to give it a go. Though I’m sticking with my older 26” mtb! Thanks again. Cheers. Aydin

      You can't beat a 26" wheeler they are pretty nimble and a good old school set up. I've a few more videos to get through in the MTB too. Thanks again for the comments buddy.

    Nice work with the camera combination. The GoPro is doing its flattening & levelling tricks with the marbles-descent from the post-Stoodley gate to London Rd - it's a lot steeper in real life. Good stuff - I'll have to check out more of your off-roading

      Thanks Gordon.
      When I look back now, it's all edited terribly and the original GoPros never had image stabilisation.
      We met every Sunday and at one point was joined by a keen viewer from your neck of the woods after finding us on TH-cam.

    Looks a great bike ride and good use of the camera I used to ride a montesa 250 trials bike years ago so that path would be ideal as a practice locals might not be to happy lol

      @MrDazP1adv3ntures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The old Montessa 250. My mate had a few of them. In fact one of the mountain bikers who I ride with was a keen trials rider and oh boy can he handle a mountain bike. Hope your well pal.

    Nice one Daz, Got the whyte 629 hardtail with same colour scheme as yours, brill bikes got mine from otley chevin cycles cos it's on my doorstep. Would love to do this decent but what about getting up there from start or can you do a circular from somewhere? ?

    • @MrDazP1adv3ntures
      @MrDazP1adv3ntures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Gregory. I know the bike shop you mean, there are a few Chevin dealerships around them parts too. I have had my Whyte a few years but the one I replaced prior was a cracker in it's day. I had the Whyte E 5 and that was a super light weight bike with Hope components and Shimano XTR through out, you can't go wrong with the I'm sure you will agree.
      As for the Stoodley pike routes. There are so many to pick and choose from and a bit of local knowledge always goes a long way but I would recommend starting either Todmorden or Hebden bridge or even Walsden and looking at the PBW and the canal trails to complete loops. I could write a book on local trails in this area lol but sometimes it's best to look on google earth and maps to see what's out there. Any more questions just ask pal, Thanks for watching and be safe.

    I love that descent but hate climbing it. MTL is on mt hit list at some point this year. Have you tried the blue pig trail at hebden ?

    • @MrDazP1adv3ntures
      @MrDazP1adv3ntures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The MT loop is seriously tough ! When I used to ride a lot on the mountain bike I did it a few times. A good time is under 5 hours and that's pretty much full gas all the way. I've seen people cheat on it too by cutting corners out ( maybe by not reading the sign posts ) but never the less it's an achievement. Yes I have done the Blue pig trails and they are a bit too much for me. They are easy pickings for a good down hill rider but for me as a X county rider it's scary stuff. I think I filmed it once over there. I will have a look.

    I was interested to note how your front suspension was absorbing the energy from the the terrain. How much PSI is in there?

    • @MrDazP1adv3ntures
      @MrDazP1adv3ntures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Darren, now that's a good question and off hand I can't remember but it I love to play about with the rebound on both front and rear suspension depending on the terrain I know I will be riding. I don't like a "Pingy " ride so tend to go for a lazy / sower response and I've also tried different weight of oils in my forks. In general I set my sag with a fully packed rucksack on my back also and then see where the O ring is maxing out at on the stanchion.
