I was directed to your channel by a guy who used to work for British Rail, then United Utillities, and he now builds roundabouts. He's also an avid supporter of George Eustice, is the chairman of the Royal Pigeon preservation Society, is an avid cyclist, and a vegan activist.
Hi Olly. I started watching you a few weeks ago, when Tom said to come look at your video's, not a farmer. But I love seeing how hard you all work keeping us feed. We need to know where are food comes from. So we can appreciate how hard it is for you all to do it, day in, day out. So thanks for you videos everyday ♥️♥️
I came over to you from Tom Pemberton. It was so nice of you to loan him the tractor. He had so much fun with it! It’s very interring what you do. You work so hard I hope you get some free time to relax
Hey Olly, I did come from Tom's channel but your volume was in the 400's back then. Who new i would have looked forward to such a video every evening, thanks Olly you genuinely improve my day no matter what % im running at.
Was not a big fan of fastacs until recently seeing Tom carting grass in yours was brilliant also was a fantastic generous thing to do loaning it out to him hats of to you mate 👍The mb tack sounds amazing fantastic sound hope you put it to work soon . Great video again Ollie 😊am 70% today
Thank you for the comment about hedge cutting the amount of grief we get on the roads even doing the job shame country file didn't do the same !!! Great vid 👍
Yep discovered you curtesy of TP, love watching your channel as well as Tom, both my fav TH-camrs to watch, it’s nice to see the different aspects of farming, it’s also great to see you and Tom together in some of your vids 💪💪🚜, keep up the amazing work 👌👌
Andrew's done a great job on the hedges Olly, it's a lot safer for the car drivers too. Was stuck behind him ytd but didn't mind, gave me chance to watch him. Cheers 👍
Hi, shame we have to do the councils job with verges etc! A very good mate of mine was on the original Fastrac development team, originally at Wrexham before moving the project to Cheadle. The brief was to come up with a competitive product against the MB Trac, but with better field capability.
next year Ollie, maybe seed the sunnies on double row spacing, then come in with a cultivator on rtk to control your weeds . enjoy the daily videos, from Australia
We use that spanner for our round baler 13mm for pretty much every bolt that holds a cover on and the Allen side is for opening Pannels so I’m assuming it’s for your square baler
Olly, in our area 90% of farmers work 12 -14 hrs a day 6 /7 days per week. Their day off is a morning at market!!! I reckon, during the war farmers turned Austin 7 and T Model Fords into haulage tractors, well, pick ups. Take care and get some rest. The spanner, is it a tool for the sprayer? 85% .
We have a couple of field gate ways that are bad to get out of on to the road and i find it easier to reverse out of the field especially when you have a attachment on the front of the loadall. Thank you for all your TH-cam posts.
Well , I have to say a bit of both. A very long time ago I was at JCB, before the fastrac. They had a couple of mb trac Mercedes apart seeing how they worked. A year later the fastrac came out. JCB put the speed into the fasttrac but based on the Mercedes no question about it
I came from TH-cam’s suggestion been watching between day 200/300 glad to see the numbers are climbing you deserve it for the good videos and the work you do
Quiz question is your claas spanner. You used to have quite a few hi speed tractors tractor on top, trantor, your mb trac non really caught on until the fastrac
Olly, the original con tog a high speed tractor has been around far longer than Mercedes, they just did it well. The earliest I know of is the Minneapolis moline UDLX. Designed to plough the fields by day and take the wife out by night.
Some time ago there was a “trantor” / jcb on eBay it was one of two that jcb bought and modified to develop the factrac. I hope it ends up preserved in a collection. Jcb were the last into the market but improved on what was there and took it away from a niche product.
As a vw nut that polo is awesome!! If I'm not mistaken the interior is out a polo gt, as the base model polo's had the plaid interior but didn't have anywhere nr as deep side bolsters and the gt's also had a 3 spoke steering wheel, the plaid interior originated in the mk1 gold gti and has been an option for most of the 'sporty' models since. Sorry for that but I like vw's like you folk like tractors 🤷♂️😂
Great video that barn find Polo looks,"mint" sorry lol I remember owing one of those same year 1987 but it was the coupé version my first new car I ever owned could not quite afford a Golf back then however checked the registration number on the DVLA website recently and I is still on the road! 98% today
Yeah I kind of found you from Tom's pemberton's channel I haven't come to enjoy your channel I find it interesting that you're a grain farmer in the UK keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep watching and this is the first time I've commented on any of your videos and trust me some of my days are in the 60s percent
Legend has it Joe bamford used to visit a farm near craven arms in Shropshire, a farmer inventor Named John. Price local to craven arms built a high speed tractor out of a Bedford cab and engine and international tractor back end, bamford saw the tractor hauling chicken muck from by the farm he used to visit and it set him off to making one, iv also read in an old power farming that bamford farms took delivery of 4 trantors back in the 70s or early 80s
G'day olly 100% off to a bachelor and spinsters ball today, I always thought jcb bought the design of Mb trac but no they half started it as sorta competition, the mbtrac and jcb are big here in Australia for getting the chassis extended and spreader bin or sprayers being put on them
Ive driven Unimogs, MB Tracs plus some you have never heard of, Deutz Intrac was a favourite of mine, I named it the Greenhouse, if you look at one you will see why, also there was a Tractor called Trantor British made I believe, I never saw one but some start up contractors bought them mainly for hedging and Paddock work, the best ever and first transport tractor was without doubt the Leyland 270 with in line trailer air brakes, 30 MPH top speed and a fairly quiet cab, they litteraly went like the Wind and in the early Seventies
I was directed to your channel by a guy who used to work for British Rail, then United Utillities, and he now builds roundabouts. He's also an avid supporter of George Eustice, is the chairman of the Royal Pigeon preservation Society, is an avid cyclist, and a vegan activist.

I’d say a Trantor was the 1st high speed tractor.
I'm pretty sure that spanner is what you get with a combine to open up the side panels and access points.
