Hi. I wash the model in mild detergent before I even start removing the parts from the spruce trees. Warm water with a few drops of washing up liquid works for me. When building keep your hands clean so the natural oils on your skin don't transfer to the model. There are plenty of tips for new builders on the unofficial Airfix Modellers Forum. Plus loads of helpful members who will answer your questions. Hope this helps.

I've bought a Tu 95 and a Tu142 [spot the difference] The colour scheme for the 95 is mostly silver however for the Tu142 the colour scheme is also shown as silver but this only applies to the first Tu142 -the rest were Maritime grey - See Tu 95 and Tu142 by Gordon and Komissarov Pub 2017 by Hikoki Publishing. excellent shots of both types plus interiors.

Very very nice. My only complaint is the spinning video. Couldn't really check out the great detail
Ive got an enormous print of a Bear by kieth fretwell,in a set of 22 from the 'Warplane' 1986 collection.
