    Hi, check out your roof rail mounting bolts. The bolts should have been siliconed when the rails where fitted, maybe not in your case. Just an idea as they go the bolts go through the roof.

      Good point, probably worth doing it anyway. Cheers.

    Can you drive it with the roof lining out? Embarking on this mission but need to use the wagon in between removal & refit.

    Can you get to the key receiver without taking the headliner out? TIA

    Wasn’t there an issue with the high level brake light seal on these cars?

    • @VarleyRebuilds
      @VarleyRebuilds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes there was, im sure the Land Rover technical bulletin was to seal it up, good thinking, i forgot about that small issue, I will seal that. Gone back to the car today and no droplets at all...strange.

      @@VarleyRebuilds Last May you put a prop shaft on but it still as noisy, is this the same car?

    • @VarleyRebuilds
      @VarleyRebuilds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Teazalium ah yes, i put the prop on because it was missing, before that it had a slight noise from the rear, so previous owner had it removed in an attempt to reduce the noise, so put the prop back on and working the diff more the noise was louder, they are common for rear diff noise and im pretty sure that is the cause of it, it still does it, but in the mean time the slave cylinder went, therefore I need to get it back on the road first.

      @@VarleyRebuilds cool, I'm in the middle of refurbishing the front transfer box on one, that is where I tracked down the noise to.

      @@Teazalium this one is definatly the rear, may get it sorted one day.
