CarsandCameras I always take the gaurd off the grinder and handle, it makes cutting a lot easier... Just gotta know what way the sparks are flying...once you adapt you will be more versitile with the grinder...

One evening I was out with some friends for a dinner, during that dinner one of my friends got a call, a friend of his was killed that afternoon. He was using a grinder with the guard removed, using an abrasive disk just like one shown in this video, when it shattered, a piece entered his chest and severed his aorta, he bled to death before the ambulance could get there, less than 5 minutes. A good guy died due to a totally preventable accident. That is why I will NEVER remove the guard on one of my grinders.

I'll never fix them, and bikes are so cheap, you can get new ones for what you would pay to fix a old one.. So here is the thing. Buy some of those old bikes, strip them, cut them up, and make a motorcycle from them. The engine should be under $200, but here is the catch... No welders, no torches, no grinders.... All hand tools. Bolts, screws, nuts, wrenches, cables, derailers... Those old bikes will never serve any other purpose. BMX wheels, 10 speed wheels... And no lawn mower engines.. No predators, no briggs.... Something real. Dirt bike, quad, I don't care if it's a Chevy 350.. But these Go Karts are way too easy for all of you. Change it up. Recycle.
I seriously just had this idea. My coworker found a couple of Arkapovic mufflers for a Yamaha sport bike in a dumpster and gave them to me. I want to rig one up on my Baja mini bike. It's a Blitz frame with the 200cc warrior motor. I don't kn now if I'll be able to go under the seat, but I hope it looks and works as well as this one!
love the exhaust idea but why tighing the back nut so tight,shouldnt it kindda be loose so it can slidde with the moto? should of drilled a hole in the bolt an than stuck a cotter pin in....great little bike none the less, keep up the awesome work

use automotive exhaust...use the smallest turbo muffler you can find at the auto parts store and they cost like 20 bucks, much quieter and smaller than a grom muffler
I know a guy that got his eyeball pierced by one of those bristles. He was even wearing safety glasses. Leave the guards on. And consider a full face shield.

I'm with your mate, no guards on anything here, they're called an angle grinder yet with a guard on 50-60% of the possible angles are blocked by a fucking plate! The only tool I've come across that's any good is on a circular saw. But even then I wired mine open so I can one hand it for cutting firewood lmao. If your paying attention is more important I reckon

you can turn the rpm down when you use the metal brush on the grinder so the metal thingies dont fly around
