    Great class tonight, Professor. Personally, I had my eyes glued to Kovalenko and was extremely impressed with his play both offensively and defensively. His vision is impeccable. Like Celebrini, he made things happen tonight. He found his teammates with small windows for error; like that assist to Walman. Defensively, his hustle spoke volumes. Head on a swivel and played physical. I love what Grier has brought to the table. In Grier we trust. Go Sharks!

      Yeah he looked really good, great pick up so far

    great breakdown on holiday sweater vs inflatables. holiday sweater is definitely narrowly better, but the "still dre" esque piano of inflatables is great and i can't get "when the sun comes up, my boys go limp" out of my head. also macklin is the second coming of gretzky. see you next class professor

    Awesome breakdown as always, professor -- I watch all your reviews. Also your "professor hockey"-style breakdown of the holiday songs was fantastic: I feel your style of detailed review could translate well beyond just hockey!

      Maybe my true calling is in song reviews haha, thanks for the kind words!

    Cool to see Georgiev win his first game as a Shark. One of my favorite tennis players is the Bulgarian, Grigor Dimitrov, who has arguably one of the prettiest games in all of tennis. I really do love this team and am happy that Macklin has come so close to having a couple of hat tricks this year.

    Thx Professor, win or lose this was a fun game to watch. This recent trade is starting to look good, the sharks are on an upward trajectory. Spot on about Walman, one must admit the man can skate and move the puck

    I want to believe Eklund’s demotion is more of a message to everyone else and that expectations for him are higher than mostly everyone else.

      Perhaps that’s true, it’s not the first time it’s happened this year.

    Loved Kovy’s game! Totally made that first goal happen off the forecheck and what a pass to Walman for the gwg. Totally froze Binnington, excited to see if he can keep it up. Also in all seriousness I love doing the holiday music video this year just from a team building perspective. You know they had a blast making it and it’s one of those things that can really help bring a team together in what’s still going to be a tough year

    The line shake ups Deff worked out and they came out with a great spark to set the tone..Macklin fer sure has an impact on tha Sharks play when he’s in than when he was out..can’t wait for Pickles and Smith to enter the lineup and see how we can keep this energy rolling 🫡🙏🏼👌🏼🔥🔥🔥🦈🏒

    The new additions are looking good! Muks looked solid, Georgiev looked much better than expected, and Kovalenko with 3 points in his second game?
    NOW, with Vlasic returning, where does HE fit in the D?

    • @professorhockey
      @professorhockey  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would imagine they are looking at a potential Vlasic-Rutta pairing, which I personally don’t want to see. Hopefully Mukh can keep this spot for a bit

    Hey Professor,
    That might have been Maclin's best game so far which is saying something. He is at the 20 game mark in his career now and is almost a point a game AND playing solidly defensively, on the forecheck and in the face off circle. Very impressive.
    If there is a hockey hell Professor and you wind up there it might be your curse to play on a line with the current version of Vlassic and Rutta. hahaha Great way to wrap up the trip.

      My hockey hell is watching a Rutta and Ferraro pairing constantly rimming picks out of the zone but it keeps getting held in at the blue line for all of eternity. Scary stuff

    What do you think of reuniting the Lund line, and having Kovalenko-Celebrini-Smith as a second line when he comes back? Kunin-Wennberg-Toffoli looked very good when they were together

    • @sharkhaos_probably
      @sharkhaos_probably หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm down for it. That leaves us with Kostin - Sturm - Dellandrea as our 4th. I can see Warso running that for a game or two

    • @professorhockey
      @professorhockey  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If he was to come back for next game, I think they might keep Kovalenko-Celebrini-Toffoli, then depending on if Kostin is healthy, we could see Kostin-Wennberg-Smith

    That's why he bought himself an inflatable
    Ugly Sweater was a classic, but...

    So I guess we won the Blackwood trade?
    Kovie looked amazing tonight. Guys got a ton of compete on the boards and hustles to pucks. He looked great with Celebrini.
    Georgiev looked decent as well.
    Aside from the third period the whole team was looking pretty strong. Also can we please get Muk a better defense partner 😂

    Sorry prof, not agree on your assessment of our first line! Kostin has been very effective powerhouse for the Sharks in the last few games, Granny was also good, they consistently had been creating offense and just didn’t connect couple times unfortunately 😢 Zetterlund just can’t help himself and always playing with energy and grit.

    • @professorhockey
      @professorhockey  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s fair, I will say they had some moments to get something going, but were struggling to connect on anything as you say.
