By far my favorite dry pencil set is my polys mixed with pastel prisma. I go in and shade with the polys and add all the highlights with the prisma, it's creamy opaque texture makes it lay right over the top. It's literally the best of both worlds, and they work so well together. I used to flip back and forth between the two, but earlier last year actually added the prisma to the poly case for convenience. I also added a selection of colors for metal, as I find it much easier to color metal with prisma due to the "smooshing" factor. I still have the full set of prisma, and I do use and enjoy them, but in a completely different application. I have also found a special appreciation for my Derwent Procolors which are new to me this year, they are hard but go so well over watercolor for definition and detail. They have no shine at all and they actually blend very nicely for a harder pencil. I reach for them much more often than I thought I would. Out of all my sets those three are my most used dry pencils. I've been using my watercolor pencils extensively, both for basing on double sided paper and alone, now that I have discovered they can be blended with alcohol blender on any paper. My favorite sets of those are Albrecht Durer, Inktense, and Kohinoor Mondeluz.
I'm like you my love, I adore my Polys and Prismas. They both work beautifully but in different ways. Over never tried the Koh I Noor Mondeluz pencils. Thank you so much for sharing your favourites with me. Xxx😊❤️
For me, I found Neocolor ii for backgrounds and FC Pitt pens to be my most used supplies. Also enjoying my Ohuhu markers in Disney pages. Sending lots of love from Poland dear ❤
Great video. The posca nib problem is that after each use, I remove the nib & run it under cold water. Then put back in & to hold the pen horizontal btw or all the paint leaks out, oops. Love the Gamsai Tambi and thought they felt like gouache to me too. *hugs* from Perth Western Australia
If you are in the market for a new sharpneer I highly recommend the Dahle 133. It's a crank, not electric, but it's not difficult to operate, takes all pencil sizes, has an adjustable point, and I've had mine for three years now and it's just as good as it was when I bought it. It's easily disassembled for cleaning, the grips that hold your pencil still don't damage the barrel.. I just can't say enough good about it. I wouldn't use it for crayons, but I wouldn't be without it for my pencils.
lovely video! I think you've convinced me to buy the artxx acrylic markers! I don't have an arsenal of supplies, just things that I have heard work well. But I have loved the ohuhu alcohol markers the best of everything new to me this year!!
Thank you so much sweetheart. Yes the Ohuhu alcohol markers are wonderful aren't they? I hope you enjoy the Arrtx acrylic markers (if you buy them) as much as I do xxx😊❤️
Great video, thank you so much. I just plugged in my new X-Acto school pro electric sharpener. OMGoodness it is amazing! 6 holes and sharpens immediately to a sharp tip. This has replaced my X-Acto electric sharpener that I had for 15 years, so I am looking forward to a long relationship with this new one. Happy coloring🙃
Thank you so much for sharing your favourite products there were some I'd not heard of. Definitely need to look for the Stickles glitter gel, that looks gorgeous. I'm sort of new to your channel, and wondering if you have or would do a video about what pencils suit what colouring book pages. I feel that I sometimes use the wrong pencils and almost ruin the picture, thank you 💖
I've never done a video about which pencils work best on which paper because I feel it's different for many people. I think it's best to try your supplies on either a color test page or a page your not overly hither about in the book and see what works for you. I hope this helps xx😊❤️
Hey babes! Just wanted to let you know about the Afmat Electric pencil sharpener. Im sure youve heard of it before.. I also like the Dell 133. They both fit all my pencils including the Albrect Durer, Derwent Lightfast, Brutfuner Squares, Pollys and Prismas. The afmat has two modes so you dont have a super sharp point where its just going to break as soon as u start to colour with it. It says 6-12mm on the front if that help. Oh and theres an autostop! Hopefully im not the 5th person to say the very same thing! Wish you the best! Watching this on Xmas so Merry Christmas!!!
Ooh thank you so much for the feedback. That sounds like an absolutely dream sharpener. I'll have to have a look. Thank you so much for the recommendation. Love and hugs xxx😊❤️
I got a new pencil set for Christmas and I watch and pajamas and movies and books and everything I want it for Christmas. Did you have a good Christmas?
I just stopped buying the PC-1MR's. You can wipe the tip off etc but they just clog and I also find the flow/opacity to be a problem, they simply aren't worth the hassle when the PC-1M is capable of a very fine line anyway. I highly recommend the Ivory for sure, and possibly the Beige if you don't have them, they give a nice highlight that isn't as stark as the white and are lovely over darker colors. I also like the gold and silver, they are shiny but not as much as a glitter pen, and flow over wax pencil/crayon much nicer than a gel pen. Great for buckles, buttons, metal objects, etc.
I completely agree with you about the PC 1M Poscas. I love the 1MR. Ooh I'll have to have a look for the Ivory and Beige because I've often thought that I needed something a bit more subtle than the white as like you said, the white is often quite stark as a highlight. Thank you so much for your input. I really appreciate it. Sending love and hugs xxx😊❤️
What makes the crayola twistables better than say the polychromos on amazon paper? I get that they probably behave more like polychromos than say a prisma, allowing you to lay down thinner layers of color for using on top of markers. I'm very curious.
I wouldn't compare the twistable crayons to the Polys are they are a completely different medium. I adore the Polys but in some of my Amazon Print books like Kameliya Angelkova, I just enjoy the twistable a because they're fun and I don't feel like I need to spend alot of time blending and shading on the simpler pages. So I use the twistable for a little bit of dimension. Xxx

Yeah I'm definitely finding the Poscas a bit temperamental lol. Thank you so much for watching. Love and hugs xxx😊❤️
