    This video is pure acting like a victim. You interact with salesmen, you give them time and attention... Off course they will do their job all the way. If you don't want a product or service just walk away... That's common sense mate.

      I'm not sure that I agree, but thank you for the sentiment. They do seem like platitudes given my experiences that you'll see in the coming videos. Many of the people were hostile, and that's about the only unique aspect of Morocco versus the next country you could visit (and presumably not face a battle with culturally)

    Seems like you came to Morocco with an agenda to criticize rather than understand. Yes, the culture and traditions are different, and that’s what makes it the most popular tourist destination in Africa. The energy, the people, the sellers-it’s all part of the experience. Instead of respecting this, you chose to stage interactions with the locals just for content, knowing full well that vendors will engage you if you start a conversation.
    Also, it’s unfair to portray the prices as too high. 15 bucks for a meal of great quality and quantity is actually a good deal. Just because it’s Africa doesn’t mean things should be free or dirt cheap. If you had truly wanted to understand Morocco, you’d have shown a more balanced view instead of using stereotypes for easy views.

    You're just looking to get views. Don't make a lot of comedy, remember that your main objective is content for your channel.
    You are in a country with its culture and traditions, you are in the most touristy place in Africa, you know what awaits you with the sellers, if you don't want to play the game, there are many restaurants excellent in the city center.
    You pass by them and you agree to start a conversation to have content to film so you have to wait for the salespeople to insist, there is competition and everyone tries to convince the customer.
    I am Moroccan and the same thing happens to me when I pass by, if I find a salesman too insistent or if I want to stop the conversation, I leave and it's over, I don't do cinema with the camera on. the hand.
    PS/ 15 bucks for what you ate, is very cheap ! Don't think Africa mean free. You ate a lot quantity of food, a great food !

      "if I find a salesman too insistent or if I want to stop the conversation, I leave and it's over"
      >> That's never been my experience in Morocco. You are intimidated and in many cases 'gaslighted'. Treated almost as sub human on many occasions.
      "PS/ 15 bucks for what you ate, is very cheap ! Don't think Africa mean free. You ate a lot quantity of food, a great food !"
      >> In your opinion. Go and see Asia. Again, their pricing was exploitative - 22 USD, then 18, then 15... its made up to extort tourists. No way is your average worker affording a 15 USD. Its street food.
      "You're just looking to get views. Don't make a lot of comedy, remember that your main objective is content for your channel."
      >> I showed the truth and the narrative was one of pleasant surprise.
      "You are in a country with its culture and traditions, you are in the most touristy place in Africa, you know what awaits you with the sellers, if you don't want to play the game, there are many restaurants excellent in the city center."
      >> The restaurants were mostly the same, selling overpriced tourist menus. Lets not try and spin things for the tourist board. Moreover, the culture was pretty immoral and not at all welcoming to outsiders. And, the camera changed everything - people were suddenly more friendly when it was around (savvy).

      Smells like pro Morocco propaganda. I always show the truth. How many countries have you been to? Marrakech is certainly not Amsterdam or Vienna. Its a poor country, dependent on tourism, with ironically hostile locals.

    You're A LOT more likely to get pick pocketed in Europe than in Morocco. Of course you should exert caution, but not any more than you would in Europe.
    It looks like there's a glitch in the Matrix with the guys approaching you in the square. At least they're not being aggressive, which is a step up from before, hopefully they'll take the next step soon and stop bothering people altogether. I personally don't mind the hassle, I consider it part of the Jamaa El Fnaa experience, but then you have people from socially reserved places like Northern Europe who think they're being attacked and take it personally and then go on to leave the terrible reviews you might have read.

    • @InvestedAdventure
      @InvestedAdventure  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In many ways, I agree. It seems that the "worst" of society tends to find their way to Europe, with "less bad" people remaining in their home country. And hence, crime is more common in Europe than many of the countries I've visited. However, there's no denying that some countries are less "moral" than others, and poverty will tend to lead to desperation.
      However, to your point around the perception of the 'culture' of persistent soliciting and haggling, I (based on my experience of doing this in many countries around the world) found there to be a nasty edge in Morocco that I haven't otherwise encountered elsewhere.
      Just look at the guy's reaction at the place that I declined just before I settled on the restaurant that I eventually ate at.
      See my coming videos for more on that, and take care my friend

    • @nazlitechschool
      @nazlitechschool 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Europe is worst on its own especially now without anyone finding their way to it. You tend to forget this "worst" you are labeling, came to work and offered a lot to build it to where it is now, but again people with your mindset forget easily but do not worry, the same people who worked hard for Europe to get it to where it is today will leave and then we will see the state it gets into. By the way, talk about the European companies that keep going to Africa, and Asia to invest to get money from to survive..... Be reasonable when commenting and reason with facts. You should stay in Europe and not visit anywhere, that would be best.@@InvestedAdventure

And please, if the sellers keep insisting, don't give them hope that you will buy anything and just keep walking. I promise that this is not the case everywhere in Morocco. just stick to your home pal if before the flight landing even you came there full of stereotypes and agendas. acting like a victim and creating nonexistent drama out of nowhere, you have no manners and respect, respect is not one sided it is bilateral

    There is a different between fez poeple and marakesch poeple..fez = arabs
    Marakesch = berbers (chlouch)
    The south of morocco are berber areas.
    Berbers are more friendly and calm more cultivated.

      Interesting, thanks for contributing these insights. A fellow traveller was saying how the Berbers had been far more decent to him too, outside of Marrakesh and Fes

    Advice never come to Marrakech and do not advise anyone to visit it. The city is very mixed and full of swindlers and fraudsters and we are tired of the complaints of tourists. You are the ones who come to her stop

    Lmao. The comments are mad. People would rather say the video is lies instead of seeing the faults and wanting the people to be better.
    Videos like this hurt the countries tourism and it SHOULD.

      Well said! There’s clearly no shame amongst the people who behave in this way towards tourists. So perhaps putting the truth on the internet might spur them into action - or at least deter tourists from being subjected to such unfair treatment. There will be no change until/unless Moroccans accept that there is a problem.

    • @EskiLdn
      @EskiLdn 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@InvestedAdventure you're not the first one to point out the issues there. A youtuber... I cant remember his name now, almost got attacked on the beach because he wouldn't pay the unfair price of the horse ride that he didn't want in the first place.
      Moroccans are terrible to tourists and it shouldn't be on tourists to learn how not to get scammed in these countries.
