Poor can b fed vegetarian food. Animals must not be killed for our satisfaction. They too have the right to live. Earth is not just for humans. Show humanity instead of cruelty towards animals.

@Jai Chauhan I don't think it makes sense to assume that something living does not feel pain just because it doesn't have nerves. The existence of nerves only serves as an explanation for why we as humans and animals feel pain. But the science can't prove that those are the only means of pain. It's certainly possible that pain can be felt and expressed by other means. Also, because plants have different structures than we do, they very well could be unable to express pain in ways we would understand. We personally can identify with other animals as we are animals, but we can't personally identify with plants, nor can we communicate with them to the extent we can with animals. Unless we were able to experience being a plant, we really can't say.

Sunflowers turn in the direction of the sun to receive its light. To me it makes sense that some sort of pleasurable sensation would lead them to do that. +reza mohebbii 1. Islam doesn't say that we must do those things only for one day or for a month in the complete year. It doesn't say that doing it in other days is prohibited. In fact it teaches that we are required taking care of the poor and the ones around us each and every day. We celebrate Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. for one day in a year. That obviously doesn't mean that on the other days we don't shower love and give respect to them. The prophet Muhammad(s.a.w) said "He is not a Believer who goes to sleep satiated and yet his neighbors are hungry." And since nowadays we live in a global community the neighbors aren't just the ones around us. 2. Helping poor people can be done in other forms too. But that must not imply that we should not care for their food. The basic needs of a man includes food. And caring for their food doesn't imply that we don't care for other needs like clothing, shelter, health and medicine and money. Islam teaches us to take care of the all these things when helping a poor. Safwan ibn Salim related that the Prophet said: "Anyone who looks after and works for a widow and a poor person is like a warrior fighting for Allah's cause, or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all night." (Bukhari) This one Hadith actually covers all the needs of the poor person to be taken care of since looking after a poor person implies taking complete care of him Specifically on Clothing: Ibn Abbas related that the Prophet said: "Any Muslim who gives a Muslim a garment to wear will be in Allah's safekeeping as long as a shred of it remains on him." (Ahmad, Tirmidhi) So you see the justice or equality is there. 3. Now the last part you said about the responsibilities of Islamic Governments, well that is a big issue related to the development of a particular nation. Islamic Governments are no different from other governments. They do their part to decrease the rate of poverty through big measures most of the governments do. Hope you understand..:)

What is the meaning of this sacrifice at all where you slaughter innocent animals which are not amenable to embrace death in the name of your Allah ? Sacrifice is something you give which you value near and dear and not something you purchase 2 days before the festival for slaughter. Moreover, sacrifice is also something you give voluntarily. Are animals which are being sacrificed are giving their life voluntarily ? They are infact being forced and brutally slaughtered and you want the World to believe this brutality and cruelty as sacrifice ? You just force upon those innocent creatures and then bleed them to death tortuously. Only evil people can do this and Allah should be designated as Master evil if he has commanded and authored it. It seems the Merciful Allah can only be merciful to human beings rather than animals. It seems he is least bothered about Animal torture at all at the hands of his own creation ? Well, this has so happened because this story has been invented by humans to justify the sacrifice and then relish the feast. Now coming to this mythical story of Ibrahim sacrificing his Son Ishmail at the commandment of Allah, well the logical conclusion of Allah should have been to allow this sacrifice rather than replace him with an unwilling sheep which is wholly unconnected in this drama where Allah due to his foreknowledge already is aware of the sequence of events. He has already decided upon the sacrifice of sheep even before Ibrahmin weilded his sword to behead his son. And it is comical to see psuedo scholars like Zakir Naik justifying this barbarity and call this as the festival of sacrifice. The worst thing is that they do this year after year to commemorate the so-called submission of Ibrahim to the will of Allah. Even Pregnant Camels are slaughtered along with the foetcide and consumed against all norms.

As Dr. Zakir Naik quoted in Ch. 22 V. 7 the blood meat doesn't go to Allah but the piety of muslim, then why to sacrifies the poor animals? why not keep doing pietious deeds only? what's the point?.. It is also to consider that Animal/human Sacrifies were traditions far long in Pre-Islamic period, and strangely also the Demonic rituals includes the Animal/Human sacrifices too.. Dr. Zakir keeps citing Quran and says we are given this permission by Allah in Quran, the Quran which was written and got finalised in 1924 (because before 1923 there were 30 different versions of Quran), this is the Standard Quran which everyone use today based on Hafs 'an ʻAsim's recitation (who is not even from Hijaz, but Cairo) and by the way in Africa still there is another version of Quran being used. these two versions have more than 5000 differences... it is important to know what original manuscript looks like.. or maybe it doesn't exist anymore? Normally Muslims burned all the previous records of Quran.. 3. Dr. Zakir Naik is a MBBS doctor, I wonder how come he miss the basics.. there are many researches conducted which shows that plant based foods include all 23 essentials amino acids with differential levels. all vegetarians and vegans who consumed a varied plant protein diet had no essential amino acid deficiencies according to many studies.. another misleading point, Respected Doctor said cows and goats have flat teeth so they eat plants and lion, tigers, leopard have pointed teeth so they eat meat, Human have both so we can eat both.. if this is the logical then how come Gorilla, hippo, mouse etc eat only plant while having both flat and very big sharp pointed teeth ? Funny thing is that the food of the poor cows goats etc are plants again which are so called missing the essential amino acids..

I have been a muslim for 5 years. I have never done any slaughtering nor paid for it. I am a vegan and i refuse to do this. I am now married to a born muslim who has never slaughtered an animal and i told him i am not going to allow this in the future. Animal sacrifice done on the day called Eid Al Azha (Bakri Eid) that many so-called Muslims celebrate is like many others acts an innovation falsely attributed to God. Sacrifice is required to be done only by the pilgrims during Hajj or if someone made an intention to do hajj but could not do it for any reasons. There is no requirement on those not doing Hajj to sacrifice any animal, as is traditionally done. This is an innovation. [Quran 2:196] *You shall observe the complete rites of Hajj and`Umrah for God. If you are prevented, you shall send an offering, and do not resume cutting your hair until your offering has reached its destination. If you are ill, or suffering a head injury (and you must cut your hair), you shall expiate by fasting, or giving to charity, or some other form of worship. During the normal Hajj, if you break the state of Ihraam (sanctity) between `Umrah and Hajj, you shall expiate by offering an animal sacrifice. If you cannot afford it, you shall fast three days during Hajj and seven when you return home - this completes ten - provided you do not live at the Sacred Masjid. You shall observe God, and know that God is strict in enforcing retribution.

The goat is not sacrificed for Allah, but in the name of Allah. And most of the meat i.e 2/3rd of it is distributed among poor people who cannot afford to have it.

The only reason given by God for animal sacrifice Leviticus 17:11 [11] “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I(God) have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” (atonement for your sin) God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son had absolutely nothing to do with a lesson about human sacrifice. Abraham told his son what it was about Genesis 22:6-8 [6] “And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. [7] And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? [8] And Abraham said, My son, GOD WILL PROVIDE HIMSELF A LAMB for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.” God was demonstrating that he alone will provide the offering that would atone for sin. I.e. That it would be his Son Jesus alone that would be the blood offering sacrificed for all our sin. John 1:29, 32-34 [29] “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world….[32] And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him(Jesus). [33] And I knew him not: but he(God) that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. Allah gave a sheep to be sacrificed and the meat shall be distributed amongst the poor, and it's another form of sacrifice. @Jai Chauhan I don't think it makes sense to assume that something living does not feel pain just because it doesn't have nerves. The existence of nerves only serves as an explanation for why we as humans and animals feel pain. But the science can't prove that those are the only means of pain.
It's certainly possible that pain can be felt and expressed by other means. Also, because plants have different structures than we do, they very well could be unable to express pain in ways we would understand. We personally can identify with other animals as we are animals, but we can't personally identify with plants, nor can we communicate with them to the extent we can with animals.
Unless we were able to experience being a plant, we really can't say.

With their death the purpose of their creation is finished. 1. Islam doesn't say that we must do those things only for one day or
for a month in the complete year. It doesn't say that doing it in other
days is prohibited. In fact it teaches that we are required taking care
of the poor and the ones around us each and every day. We celebrate
Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. for one day in a year. That obviously
doesn't mean that on the other days we don't shower love and give
respect to them. The prophet Muhammad(s.a.w) said "He is not a Believer
who goes to sleep satiated and yet his neighbors are hungry." And since
nowadays we live in a global community the neighbors aren't just the
ones around us.
2. Helping poor people can be done in other forms too. But that must not
imply that we should not care for their food. The basic needs of a man
includes food. And caring for their food doesn't imply that we don't
care for other needs like clothing, shelter, health and medicine and
money. Islam teaches us to take care of the all these things when
helping a poor.
Safwan ibn Salim related that the Prophet said: "Anyone who looks after
and works for a widow and a poor person is like a warrior fighting for
Allah's cause, or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all
night." (Bukhari)
This one Hadith actually covers all the needs of the poor person to be
taken care of since looking after a poor person implies taking complete
care of him
Specifically on Clothing:
Ibn Abbas related that the Prophet said: "Any Muslim who gives a Muslim a
garment to wear will be in Allah's safekeeping as long as a shred of it
remains on him." (Ahmad, Tirmidhi)
So you see the justice or equality is there.
3. Now the last part you said about the responsibilities of Islamic
Governments, well that is a big issue related to the development of a
particular nation. Islamic Governments are no different from other
governments. They do their part to decrease the rate of poverty through
big measures most of the governments do.

What is the meaning of this sacrifice at all where you slaughter innocent animals which are not amenable to embrace death in the name of your Allah ? Sacrifice is something you give which you value near and dear and not something you purchase 2 days before the festival for slaughter. Moreover, sacrifice is also something you give voluntarily. Are animals which are being sacrificed are giving their life voluntarily ? They are infact being forced and brutally slaughtered and you want the World to believe this brutality and cruelty as sacrifice ? You just force upon those innocent creatures and then bleed them to death tortuously. Only evil people can do this and Allah should be designated as Master evil if he has commanded and authored it. It seems the Merciful Allah can only be merciful to human beings rather than animals. It seems he is least bothered about Animal torture at all at the hands of his own creation ? Well, this has so happened because this story has been invented by humans to justify the sacrifice and then relish the feast. Now coming to this mythical story of Ibrahim sacrificing his Son Ishmail at the commandment of Allah, well the logical conclusion of Allah should have been to allow this sacrifice rather than replace him with an unwilling sheep which is wholly unconnected in this drama where Allah due to his foreknowledge already is aware of the sequence of events. He has already decided upon the sacrifice of sheep even before Ibrahmin weilded his sword to behead his son. And it is comical to see psuedo scholars like Zakir Naik justifying this barbarity and call this as the festival of sacrifice. The worst thing is that they do this year after year to commemorate the so-called submission of Ibrahim to the will of Allah. Even Pregnant Camels are slaughtered along with the foetcide and consumed against all norms.

1. As Dr. Zakir Naik quoted in Ch. 22 V. 7 the blood meat doesn't go to Allah but the piety of muslim, then why to sacrifies the poor animals? why not keep doing pietious deeds only? what's the point?.. It is also to consider that Animal/human Sacrifies were traditions far long in Pre-Islamic period, and strangely also the Demonic rituals includes the Animal/Human sacrifices too.. I wonder why Gods and Devils love so much this type of harsh bloody sacrifies. Then respected doctor said it is to feed poor.. the world is still living in poverty after killing millions of animals, why not spend this money in building up their lives..
2. Dr. Zakir keeps citing Quran and says we are given this permission by Allah in Quran, the Quran which was written and got finalised in 1924 (because before 1923 there were 30 different versions of Quran), this is the Standard Quran which everyone use today based on Hafs 'an ʻAsim's recitation (who is not even from Hijaz, but Cairo) and by the way in Africa still there is another version of Quran being used. these two versions have more than 5000 differences... it is important to know what original manuscript looks like.. or maybe it doesn't exist anymore? Normally Muslims burned all the previous records of Quran..
3. Dr. Zakir Naik is a MBBS doctor, I wonder how come he miss the basics.. there are many researches conducted which shows that plant based foods include all 23 essentials amino acids with differential levels. all vegetarians and vegans who consumed a varied plant protein diet had no essential amino acid deficiencies according to many studies.. another misleading point, Respected Doctor said cows and goats have flat teeth so they eat plants and lion, tigers, leopard have pointed teeth so they eat meat, Human have both so we can eat both.. if this is the logical then how come Gorilla, hippo, mouse etc eat only plant while having both flat and very big sharp pointed teeth ? Funny thing is that the food of the poor cows goats etc are plants again which are so called missing the essential amino acids..

I have been a muslim for 5 years. I have never done any slaughtering nor paid for it. I am a vegan and i refuse to do this. I am now married to a born muslim who has never slaughtered an animal and i told him i am not going to allow this in the future. So how do vegan or vegetarian muslims get around having to be a part of this?

Animal sacrifice done on the day called Eid Al Azha (Bakri Eid) that many so-called Muslims celebrate is like many others acts an innovation falsely attributed to God. Sacrifice is required to be done only by the pilgrims during Hajj or if someone made an intention to do hajj but could not do it for any reasons. There is no requirement on those not doing Hajj to sacrifice any animal, as is traditionally done. This is an innovation.
[Quran 2:196] *You shall observe the complete rites of Hajj and`Umrah for God. If you are prevented, you shall send an offering, and do not resume cutting your hair until your offering has reached its destination. If you are ill, or suffering a head injury (and you must cut your hair), you shall expiate by fasting, or giving to charity, or some other form of worship. During the normal Hajj, if you break the state of Ihraam (sanctity) between `Umrah and Hajj, you shall expiate by offering an animal sacrifice. If you cannot afford it, you shall fast three days during Hajj and seven when you return home - this completes ten - provided you do not live at the Sacred Masjid. You shall observe God, and know that God is strict in enforcing retribution.

Abraham pbuh prayed for a son /offspring all his life and his prayer was granted with the birth of Ismael at age 90 years of age , so this was his most beloved thing /person on earth. Then Allah gave his prophet a great test , only worthy of a prophet , to sacrifice his most beloved to prove his love for Allah. He son Ismael agreed without question, and we know the rest of the event, the miracle of the razor sharp knife that wouldn't cut ISMAEL, but Allah provide a sheep for him for sacrifice instead, Now we fast the day before eid as a sacrifice for the things we love, and contemplate how much we are willing to sacrifice for Allahs sake ,

God has created some animals for food, some for ploughing, some for transport etc. If everyone of us becomes a vegetarian then the whole world would turn into agricultural land and thus 'environment' as well as the 'animals' will be extinct. First of all be sincere to prove Who your real God is? That's the primary question. Once it is solved then one can never be reluctant to accept the instructions of God.
Every creature in earth has a special ability. For example, fishes can breathe under water, kangaroos can jump really high, and birds can fly. Fact 1. We kill animals not for god but for us to eat.
Fact 2. All our god (Allah) told us is to kill the animal in the name of him as a way to thank him for the food.

Fact 4. In EID we kill an animal for several reasons. 1 is to show respect to ibrahim and to show that you will follow gods command, and we also kill the animal to eat it.
Fact 5. We can not keep all the meat for our selves so we need to give 1/4 to the poor, 1/4 to your neighbours, and 2/4 to you and your family.

God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son had absolutely nothing to do with a lesson about human sacrifice.
Abraham told his son what it was about

God was demonstrating that he alone will provide the offering that would atone for sin.
I.e. That it would be his Son Jesus alone that would be the blood offering sacrificed for all our sin.
John 1:29, 32-34
[29] “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world….[32] And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him(Jesus). Hypocrisy at its highest limit....He argued "Allah doesn't want blood and meat", yet they slaughter innocent animals in the name of Allah....Contradicting his own statement. If it is about charity and sharing with the poor then why just meat, why not something vegetarian which beautiful nature has provided us. I am sure the poor would be equally happy if they get vegetarian food.

That's a good question bro. :)Ishmael did not turn into a sheep. Ishmael is alive and one of his descendent is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Allah gave a sheep to be sacrificed and the meat shall be distributed amongst the poor, and it's another form of sacrifice. To slaughter the animal (eg: camels, cows, (with 4 limbs) ) and distribute them amongst the poor) Human can contribute to the betterment of life hence the prohibition of slaughtering humans.

And meat is a source of food which is high up in the food chain, and it's quite expensive too, to fork out an amount to buy either a goat/cow/sheep, slaughter those animals and feed the poor.
