Once you get there you're playing people who are more serious about 1s and are closer to their main rank. I used to be c2-c3 before I quit and I peaked at c1 in 1s. The mode isn't rng or anything, you just gotta learn to read your opponents play style and try to figure out what they are bad at and force them into it. Doesn't always work but its better than trenching into one playstyle and not adapting :)
It probably is. I'm a d1 in 1v1s but a C2 in 3v3s and 2v2s. And most tm8s around these ranks look bad in terms of mechanics and they can never do anything by themselves
You should do this but with duos. I want to see like a over confident gold player that blames his teammate and thinks that he could be in C3. Just place him in a game with a C3 teammate and enemies. That would be funny, and you could also do like a post game interview.
Do you try to learn rotating and important parts to rank up? I have 700 hours on steam and I'm low gc. I was stuck in c1 for a good 2 seasons but once I learned proper rotations it really helped me play better with solo queue teammates.

I can see how when people complain about their ranks it’s amusing exposing them, but in all fairness to these people they probably meant in 2s or 3s and not 1s. There’s a huge difference between those game modes so putting somebody who is plat in 2s and thinks they’re champ in 2s is a totally different ball game in 1s. There’s a lot of variables when changing game modes because everybody is different.

Rocket League is a game that could potentially teach so many valuable lessons for people; Teamwork, being humble, encouragement, accountability etc. but with younger players especially, they want to focus on the negatives and pass blame. So funny hearing how people think they "deserve" higher ranks when in reality, is the actual rank they should be in. I'm plat. 2 and know that's exactly the rank I deserve and am learning these lessons to progress through them and earn it. This is such an interesting GAME for seeing how people behave. Could probably study a full college course on the behavior of Rocket League players.

You know, I did enjoy the video but I think it would be better to do a playlist specific match for the rank they think they deserve. I, for example could argue that maybe I deserve a higher rank in 2s or 3s but would utterly fail to prove it in a 1v1. Also there is a huge rank differential between ranks in 1s and other playlists. Either way these are just my thoughts but I did enjoy the video. I’ll go ahead and subscribe as this is the first of your videos I’ve seen.

@@Mamalades what do you practice? Try workshop ring maps for one of the biggest aerial mechanics boosts. Even with questionable rotation you should be plat/diamond
definitely true. It's also a little bit of accuracy. So many less whiffs and missed opportunities. The mechanics are mostly the same, but yeah, the consistency is drastic sometimes
I’m new to the channel and I really like the idea for this vid! These kinda comments are so prevalent and so it’s nice to see the ranking system hold up as it should. If I can give one point of constructive criticism, you should stick to one commentary style. Sometimes you did it like a live play by play, sometimes you did replay analysis, and sometimes you did a super quick recap. Switching between styles is a bit awkward. I think the replay analysis style where you talk in the past tense and describe the playstyle/decisions that lead to goals or mistakes is best suited for both you and your editing style. Also, don’t be afraid to let the footage speak for itself. When you’re doing commentary you don’t always need to be talking. It may feel awkward to do that as the commentator but it’s makes for a more natural viewing experience. Keep up the good work!
Problem is is that some of the plats (including me) who have the skill and think they should be in higher ranks dont realize that in the higher ranks the same things are happening. I'm a plat 3 in 2s and most people would say I play like a d2 at least. But in 3s in d3 and the d3s play like champ 2s.
Some of those camera settings were wild... also 1v1 is so different from 2s and 3s, very different positioning, so it could be possible to do 2v2s where everyone is the same rank except for the one person wanting to be in a different rank

They don't even play like plats. Plats can at least hit easy shots on net. In 1s, rotation is something I can forgive but the mechanics I saw in that match were like silver level.

definitely true. It's also a little bit of accuracy. So many less whiffs and missed opportunities. The mechanics are mostly the same, but yeah, the consistency is drastic sometimes

I’m new to the channel and I really like the idea for this vid! These kinda comments are so prevalent and so it’s nice to see the ranking system hold up as it should. If I can give one point of constructive criticism, you should stick to one commentary style. Sometimes you did it like a live play by play, sometimes you did replay analysis, and sometimes you did a super quick recap. Switching between styles is a bit awkward. I think the replay analysis style where you talk in the past tense and describe the playstyle/decisions that lead to goals or mistakes is best suited for both you and your editing style. Also, don’t be afraid to let the footage speak for itself. When you’re doing commentary you don’t always need to be talking. It may feel awkward to do that as the commentator but it’s makes for a more natural viewing experience. Keep up the good work!

Problem is is that some of the plats (including me) who have the skill and think they should be in higher ranks dont realize that in the higher ranks the same things are happening. I'm a plat 3 in 2s and most people would say I play like a d2 at least. But in 3s in d3 and the d3s play like champ 2s.
Ok I'm not saying that d2 at the end is bad but how did he use them camera settings lol

i think he was using dlg's settings for air dribbling, unsure though but when DLG does his hour long air dribbles he has his camera insanely close

also 1v1 is so different from 2s and 3s, very different positioning, so it could be possible to do 2v2s where everyone is the same rank except for the one person wanting to be in a different rank

They don't even play like plats. Plats can at least hit easy shots on net. In 1s, rotation is something I can forgive but the mechanics I saw in that match were like silver level.
