Even with the imperfections, these two mounds did not disappoint. The moulds are strikingly beautiful & they really look like true crystals, reminds me of the Cinderella slippers. Absolutely Gorgeous!!! 💎💎💎
Sorry I just missed the premiere. I spray alcohol on the surface of mine too, must have used the round flower one 20 times or more by now, no ill effects on the mould as far as I can tell so I think you're ok :
Beautiful molds! Great effort & colors Wendy ❤ These are going to require the lowest/thinnest viscosity resin, to get into all the crevices. Takes a 2 day wait but it’s worth it. Thank you for sharing🌹🌹🌹.. I’m headed to have a look at what’s available 👌💯💯
Yet another marvelous creation video,Ms Wendy 💜💜,your imagination is amazing and you make them reality 💕 Loved both the set of crystal flowers😍💜,each one is unique and beautiful 😍. Hope you are fine and wishing you Happy Valentines Day,Ms Wendy 💜💜🌹
Beautiful pieces and beautiful molds! I actually really dislike working with pipettes but, maybe they could be slid into the crevices without damaging the mold. A pearlescent black or a little interference blue mixed in black would be a pretty pearl in the center of the lotus, along with the gorgeous color you used for the first round of petals again. Somehow suspending floral wire into the pearl would make an amazing bouquet. Lotsa fun possibilities.😊❤
So delicately beautiful. I can't find the words either. Before you took that metal tipped bottle out I was talking to the screen saying use one of those!!! 😂 And you did. Maybe putting the more undercut one in one hand and try to open it as if taking it out while using a very thin viscus resin . But how would I know unless I were in your gloves, so to speak. A fantastic job and they are lovely 🌺🎆
Gorgeous resin crystal flowers,Ms Wendy 😍😍💜💜 .Those molds are gorgeous and the first set came out stunning beautiful with those crystal effects peeking through 😍😍💜.And the second set with amazing colors gave it another level of beauty 😍😍💜.Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video, keep inspiring 😍😍🙏💕💜
These are pretty. If you put a bit of resin in the lotus mold and then pull it apart from all directions (like you did when looking for where the cavities were) it'll help a ton. I have some intricate molds I have to manipulate like that.
The first mold is gorgeous and I would order one. The second one, whilst a good idea, is not worth the effort. I will pass on something that complicated. Thank you for the video.
Nice work. Maybe if you try using a pipette. They're soft and bendy, so maybe it would work out best.. try making the flower using the colors of a sunflower...I know purple is your favorite color...try using different colors of purples
Hi Wendy very cute moulds and the pieces are beautiful 😍 hope that one works for you next time you try it, loving the little piggy pigments 😍 thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
I just bought their small crystal mold and received it in Thursday's post. I poured it on Friday and decided not to use a heating mat to cure it faster. Just to see if the resin has fewer bubbles trapped in it. Fingers crossed for when I demold it in a few more hours. I never thought to use the needle nosed bottle to get the resin completely into each nook and cranny. Thanks for the backup plan. ❤❤❤
Beautiful flowers, shame the lotus didn't work better - like you say, not all of us have a pressure pot to get rid of those bubbles. Perhaps a really low viscosity resin would work a little bit better.
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤ how are you to know if the lotus leaves have formed right without taking it out? You can’t see them through the cured resin So confused on that one
The flower looked nice in one colour and amazing in multiple ones. Even if some petals were incomplete the flower still looked interesting and that's a bonus when it comes to jewellery, right?
Someone needs to invent a flat vibrating mat for shaking air bubbles from molds. So you could just pour the resin in and turn the mat on and release those nasty bubbles. Concrete workers have a long vibrating tool they put in walls as they pour them.😊
Hi Wendy!! Beautiful moulds 😍 I think the problem is that they’re too small and is very difficult for the resin to get to all those nooks and crannies 🤔 Maybe bigger moulds should solve the problem, what do you think? Have a great day!! 🙋🏻♂️
Beautiful I have that mold may I suggest try not using the heat mat I feel it cures the resin to fast n not giving enough time for the bubbles to pop on its own
Hi Wendy, I "love" your channel, and just subscribed. I am elderly and have never tried this artform before, but you have inspired me enough to give it a go. I have purchased some resin from intoresin (2 part 1;1) and bought two moulds to start with. Could you please tell me how much resin should I pore in one go, it's not deep cast and one of the moulds is the large skull? Also can you see a division line with multiple pores? Thanks, and keep up the great tutorials.
Hi Rob and welcome to my little channel 😀😀👍 If you use the average pour resin really each pour shouldn’t be more than 1.5 cm or so. You will see lines but to minimise this you could pour each layer before the previous one is cured. Say 3-4 hours after pouring. Or 2 hours on a heat mat or on a summer day when resin cures quicker. If you want to find out how much resin to pour, fill your mould with rice and measure the amount in the same cup you are using to mix. The volume will be the same. Make sure to clean your mould afterwards as rice can cause dust. I hope that helps 🥰
I would try using the lowest viscosity resin I could find. Perhaps one of the 2:1 pourable resins. I wouldn't use alcohol on the mold, but could a drop or two of alcohol in the resin or use alcohol ink to color the resin? I don't know if this would help, but at least it shouldn't damage the molds.
Personally I don’t like Alcohol inks much at all. I’ve had things change colour considerably. Yes a super low viscosity resin would work better if you have one 😀💜👍
Would using one of those syringes with the really long tapering tiny tips allow for direct placement of resin in the mold? Also, can you not pop the bubble with the resin still in the cup? Then slowly and carefully fill the mold? I could see it being an issue with resin that is deeper than half an inch but I think I could come up with a solution, but I don’t know if it would work in real life. Could I not mix the resin in the cup, pour the resin into a shallow dish and then torch it? Knowing how I me 😊 I would probably cut a corner out of the shallow dish and I would fit a small funnel there with silicone…. 🧐 this way I could tilt the dish to keep the resin in place while I get rid of the bubbles and then carefully pour it through the funnel into wherever I want, I see no fault with my hypothetical technique 🤓
it sounds like it could work. But the issue here was the mould not taking the resin into it . Not the resin having air in it. So I understand what you mean ... but it isn't necessarily the way to go with this one.💜👍
I saw that the dictionary in my mobile wrote something completely different from what I actually did. I now corrected it to Bottle and not the bottom.🎉😊
I tried using alcohol inc, not muchvbut every time i do, the resin won't cure or takes like a week or longer, can you help, explain? What am i doing wrong?
So happy you did this video as I was having the same problem with the lotus mould… p.s I didn’t mean to say “I fell asleep” it typed in without my consent 🫣… I fell out off the internet… your videos never bore me ❤❤❤❤

@Toonpish I actually got the same mold you did. Not the lotus but the other one. I missed a couple of bubbles. It does have a ton of mini bubbles.

Hi Wendy, you were very kind about the moulds but the lotus flower needs to be thought out better 🦆💕
perhaps a much thinner resin would be best suited to it as a couple of people have said . But the design is stunning 😀💜

I have the broach mould but I’ve only made it clear as I’m afraid I won’t be able to get the colour out if they stain
