The way the game renders its environments now kind of reminds me of Red Dead 2, something about the lighting and the way it plays off the foliage looks surprisingly similar. Looking great, it's crazy how far this project has come.
Such amazing work, even now that stalker 2's out, nothing has changed, this is still a masterpiece of visual enhancements in Gaming and I will go back to anomaly, but never without the latest SSS.

I haven’t even played Anomaly in a couple years, but I still watch each new update showcase you put out lol. I’m constantly amazed by how far the community has taken this engine.
Man, these SSS updates are amazing. If only it were possible to code STALKER Anomaly, so that it was HDR-compatible (doesn't work with SpecialK afaik). That would truly be the icing on the cake.
just played a bit with the new update and i kid you not, i could not stop spamming screenshots to a friend who also plays and we were losing our shit in the chat logs. outstanding work. the grass normals, the omni shadows, beautiful. massive, MASSIVE upgrade. fog rolled in while in rookie village and i was actually in awe. and zero performance hit! MH World taxed my machine 15-20 fps for their idiotic volumetric fog solution, here, basically nothing. massive props.

This is the Stalker 2 weve been waiting for. Now if we can import the map, and storyline into Anomaly with these shaders; sheeesh... Amazing work as always, you've given this game so much longevity when I show normies that are finding out what Stalker is for the first time now, they all compliment the graphics. Then I tell them the worlds are 12 years old 🤣

I live in a post-soviet state bordering Ukraine and the architecture, nature and all varieties of blends thereof (especially the rundown abandoned buildings) look exactly like they do in S2, colors and all.

Not only is this the most substantial graphical update available for the old Stalker game, I think this is the single most important thing that makes reshade redundant. I'M still using Reshade on the old SSS 21, but I wonder, do you plan on somehow integrating RTGI or something into SSS at some point if that is possible? I think that's the only thing that I still use or would use ReShade for (the iMMERSE RT effect)

I don't have plans about RTGI, maybe in the future. I like to keep a balance very inclined to the performance.
