where did you find what oil and in what amount to use for each fork legs. I found a pdf (I think it is by fastace) and it is saying 300ml in the right and 150ml for the left legs. I want to be sure before I service my forks.
@@johnbrown562 I went for 300ml in the right and 150ml in the left. But notice that it is two different types of oil in each fork. 5W in the right and 32W in left.
Great vid. Bummer the seals went bad in only 6 months. fastace was looking promising until I seen this. wonder how many others have had this issue within 6 months.
Can't wait for my fastace fork seals to go bad so i have a good excuse to upgrade to the SKF Seals :P. Also protip for a fork wrench: Get a Knipex Plier wrench! Amazing tool for the job.
I was curious about the process, nice to see Dave has the knowledge and tools...wondering where I can get that really BIG fork tool from? I was going to try a Kenworth dealership...lol great vid Dillon!

my top screws are one black and one gold. only the gold is adjustable, but not with a handle instead u ned a screw driver to adjust, is it a 1.o versio? and how come that i have a fast ace on my stock surron?
I got the forks to the point where I have the dust seal and retainer clip removed but the forks will not seperate into two pieces. Makes a bad metallic sound when I try to pull it out like he did in the video
not sure but did he forgot to put the metal whasher under the oil seal of the first side, we can't see him put it in before the oil seal and it looks like it's right under the cap of the grease. anyway haha great video very informative👌🏻
Agreat video, I have a Zero S Motorcycles from 2013 with Fast ace folk model Fastace ALX07RC. Can you confirm if the assembly and oil quantities that the Fastace model ALX13RC has are same as the Fastace ALX07RC. Thank you.
Have a giant wrench like that. It’s a lifesaver when doing alignments and the tire rods are stuck.
All those wheelies take their toll.
