I saw the prices for TC2/M, ended up buying the bundle Steam had for the both of them for something like just under $20 usd total, super hyped! It's looked fun, but at least for Motorfest I pretty much never saw it on sale. I could just be blind though lol. Haven't really played a racing game outside of a ton of FH3/4/5 and Asphalt 8/9 quite a few years ago, so looking forward to seeing what it's like. :)

This has absolutely nothing to do with Ubisoft. Ivory Tower put the exact same amount of high effort and commitment to The Crew 2 as they are to Motorfest. Ubisoft, being the publisher, is just a beneficiary, so it's nothing to do with them saving face. Go look at Ivory Tower's track record, and you'll see this is normal for them.
I honestly like TCM but i feel like they could make the map better, for example... 1. They could scrap winning parts and add tune-up shops and body-kit shops and aswell clothe shops so it gives you reasons to drive around the map and spend money on other things and Properties like houses and garages. They could add in meet-up areas on the map ( a couple of small locations where you can meet up and get out of your vehicles and do things like pop the hood and open passager doors... and tbh i dont like the fact i have 3 of the same vehicle to do 3 different thing's. They should do it so if you want a certain car for racing, you could build one up for that or if you want it to drift then you could go to a tune-up shop and build it to drift.. just some ideas that i personally think would bring more car lovers to the game
Funny thing is that I didn't care about The Crew and since i saw the news of this new update, i've got it on sale the Elite version for $32 US and i'm actually enjoying it. BTW i thought that the fps problem was just me. They need to fix that

They are putting in an offline patch, mirrors, graphics, expansion, and takedown missions (etc) they definitely listened to the players, you seem to be a hater learn to enjoy things for once
I had TCM for a while now it's enjoyable and the physics are much better than TC2 but it's nowhere as near as FH5, FH5 feels a lot more polished and in control yet TCM has a lot of cool features that make me wanna play it from time to time like the amazing map, Bikes and custom cars
For gameplay and content, this game is fantastic. Graphics are okay. It's just the driving physics, upgrade system, and car selection that are mid. Overall, I've had a lot of fun with it.
I really want to like this game, but handling is so piss and I don't like their playlist system - you cant use your car!! You have to use rental! Let me buy a car for that! Like, give 3 options with discounted price and let me buy my own car. Why rentals? Why I even own cars? Just for online races? They do many things right, but major things are complete turnoff for me.
I dont understand why so many ppl seem to have a problem with using a rental car for the first playthrough. The playlist is about telling a story and they want everyone to have a baseline car that they are telling a story about. You can use your own cars for The Summit and for replaying any of the tracks that you have already run.

Some newer playlists were different (Harley Davidson or something), you had to buy motorcycle for it and that was fun. The Crew Motorfest represents what I wish Forza Horizon became. Instead, FOMO weekly reward cars keep people playing. Horizon has been the same game for many years. Even the expansions are the same.
The mirrors will be made functional at the next update. As for the vehicle variations and lineup, there are a total of 720 vehicles on the crew motorfest as of now.@@iamquasimoto4056

I had the original crew through xbox Live Gold when they still "gave out" games and got a little ways into it but I was to late to have fun with it even though I did have my favorite car, the saleen s7 and just picked up 2 for that 1 dollar sale.

Try messing around with the control settings. I agree with you, and it still isn’t great. But after I tweaked my control settings it became a lot more manageable. Before I did that, the cars felt super heavy and took forever to steer/countersteer

The crew needs to adopt Forza handling and physics Go back to being in a city like the first one Ditch the current perf system multiple variants of the same car (draft , drift, rally) and focus more on letting us build cars for those purposes with MODIFICATIONS. DITCH THE PLANES AND BOATS that system can be used to switch between different cars on the fly ( switching from your street car to off road car as the terrain changes) Add Cops and bring back having a home. That was my favorite part of TC2. And this time with a bigger garage like shmee150 and allow us to invite friends to see our vehicles displayed.

Offline Only Mode is Exactly what the Gaming Industry needs. I salute UBISOFT. /salute I would LOVE to see more of OAHU fleshed out, a proper Likelike and Pali, develop Mililani Town, Kaimuki, Moilili, Kailua town, etc... I grew up on Oahu. This game is very special to me.
They nurfed triple screen, haven't been able to play on triples with nvidia surround since Jan and the devs are useless on this issue and not restored settings or resolved, ubisoft fail.
I thought the crew 2 and motorfest had the best live service too untill I looked at the main stage in motorfest and realized it's basically Tdu2's progression but with a heavy live service twist. Where each week and month it all resets and you start from 0. Now I don't think so fondly about it. I think such statements are misleading.
I agree that Ivory Tower does a great job at keeping their game alive but saying the content is free is a bit of a stretch. Yes it would be a DLC in Forza but Forza is a lot less grindy. Ivory Tower relies on microtransactions from frustrated players. The business model is the one and only reason why I'm hesitant to buy this game.
But Forza has DLCs or their Playlists. One costs money, the other costs at least an hour of your life every week for one new car. That's a bad deal as well. And with the Fomo and some cars being only in there once, it's even worse than TCM. To be fair. I do play Forza every week for the car, as I'm a collector. But it's clearly a worse system. I can't tell my friends to pick up Horizon. As now they have missed 3 years and can't obtain half the cars. And don't come with "but the auction house". That one is shit and would need even more grinding to get enough money and the luck to find all the cars. To conclude: Both games could learn something from the other. None of the games is good.

Not to mention if you want to maximize your profits you gotta farm for car parts with the buck magnet perk first. The game is good but the grind isn't fun.
I only ever played forza before TCM , it took me a while to get used to the physics but now I prefer TCM physics over FH. To me Forza feels too easy to drive while TCM is more of a challenge, I can't 🤬 wait for the season 2 update

I bought the Crew 2 about 2 years ago, when it was on sale for $10 and I have to admit...that it was a unique game and loads of fun, as the enormous map of the U.S. was pretty radical. However....it took several weeks to acclimate to the piss-poor arcade game mechanics and it was really f**king annoying how they made so many car purchases unavailable(unless you spent real world money on them.) I ended up investing another $30 into this game(just for the f**king cars I wanted.) I took a break from The Crew 2 for a while and did some racing in GTA 5 Online and when I returned to The Crew 2, I found the game unplayable(as I fully realized how terrible the game mechanics were, with the cars.) At which point, I was done with this game....but many months later, I downloaded a demo of The Crew Motorfest and it was a cluttered mess and hated it. I never bought it and really felt like I dodged a major bullet, as I spared myself from investing a fortune more micro transactions. Then....upon the official launch day of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, I finally found a game that was quite similar to the Crew 2, but with excellent game mechanics( & even with the few glitches TDU has, it was still a blast to play & I already have about 30 hours into it.) Also...once the major patch fix update download hits, this game will absolutely obliterate The Crew 2/Motorfest.
Don't know. Agree that handling is very good on TD SC and very bad on The Crew 2 or Motorfest (physic is too cartoony, like GTA) and you don't feel like driving a car but playing an arcade game. But TF SC is such a mess, especially on consoles, not sure they will be able to save the game.
Ummm ... It has AI traffic. Just not during races. Same thing with Forza. Would be cool to have a separate playlist that had AI traffic during races though.

If you complete a standard race you can use your own cars

Forza has really expensive dlcs though. In the long run, the crew motorfest is the cheaper game. You don't need to spend money on microtransactions.

@@noobalicious2000 it's crazy boring to do the same 2-3 min race for 2-3 hours per new or 'required for the actual summit' car, cause the dear devs wanted you to buy ingame currency from the shop ? especially after you finished all the story missions and it's just became a grindfest ?

@@FranquitoMV2004 I have to agree. Forza rains you with money and cars, making the progress a joke. Motorfest would have been better, except the devs want you to spend money if you can't or won't burn your time, unnecessarily.
As a fan/player of fh5 for many years now Fh5 is no where near as good as the Crew motorfest i mean come on lets be real once you have everything in fh5 it gets so boring only thing fh5 has going for them is when the season changes you can get a new car to unlock but thats about it fr
The game is 3 years old mate. The crew just passed its first year. The crew is only better when it comes to the map

The fact that you can travel seamlessly to another island is amazing! I'm not the biggest fan of map expansions where you have a loading screen. I love what they are doing with this game. Thanks for the video! 🙏💯
Midnight Club LA did that with their South Central expansion, it was just there
upon purchase, no loading screens. You were able to drive there.

I bought the Crew 2 about 2 years ago, when it was on sale for $10 and I have to admit...that it was a unique game and loads of fun, as the enormous map of the U.S. was pretty radical. However....it took several weeks to acclimate to the piss-poor arcade game mechanics and it was really f**king annoying how they made so many car purchases unavailable(unless you spent real world money on them.) I ended up investing another $30 into this game(just for the f**king cars I wanted.)
I took a break from The Crew 2 for a while and did some racing in GTA 5 Online and when I returned to The Crew 2, I found the game unplayable(as I fully realized how terrible the game mechanics were, with the cars.) At which point, I was done with this game....but many months later, I downloaded a demo of The Crew Motorfest and it was a cluttered mess and hated it. I never bought it and really felt like I dodged a major bullet, as I spared myself from investing a fortune more micro transactions. Then....upon the official launch day of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, I finally found a game that was quite similar to the Crew 2, but with excellent game mechanics( & even with the few glitches TDU has, it was still a blast to play & I already have about 30 hours into it.) Also...once the major patch fix update download hits, this game will absolutely obliterate The Crew 2/Motorfest.

Don't know. Agree that handling is very good on TD SC and very bad on The Crew 2 or Motorfest (physic is too cartoony, like GTA) and you don't feel like driving a car but playing an arcade game.
But TF SC is such a mess, especially on consoles, not sure they will be able to save the game.
The crew motorfest is missing Ai Traffic, They need to add a traffic setting like Carx Street pc did 🥲🙌🏼
Ummm ... It has AI traffic. Just not during races. Same thing with Forza. Would be cool to have a separate playlist that had AI traffic during races though.
@@klutch4878 Yeah I get that but I would definitely would want More AI traffic, I like cruising and cutting up and the crew motorfest at least, feels dead to me.
Add pedestrians as well
