I'm a bit out of the loop these days re film & television but from what I've observed from friends, there's definitely some activity, but as it's always been (here and in other countries), the majority of the meaningful work goes to existing names in the industry and there's a ton of competition for what's left over! If you want to get some more accurate/up to date info, thebizbook.com.au/ is a great resource for connecting with coaches, agents & other industry related stuff :)
