Mobley isnt playing soft anymore, he's being more forceful in the paint, he'll only get better, his 3 point shooting has been a big surprise this year.
Outside of the finessing of Danny Ainge to get Mitchell, the satisfying thing is that the Cavs build and development has been organic. They parlayed their post-LeBron lottery picks into Sexton, Garland and Mobley, traded for Allen, LeVert and later Markkanen. Finding G-League talent and castoffs, not to mention quality free agent signings means their GM and scouting department are excellent. It worked out for the better that the Mitchell deal included Sexton and not Garland to go with Lauri. Getting the star player's approval on the Atkinson hire was also beneficial. We expected them to be good, but not single-digit loss good. Hats off to the organization as a whole on their patience and vision.
Koby Altman has done a better job with the Cavs second post-Lebron team than anyone could have ever dreamed. Nearly everything he's touched has turned to gold.
@@themashugana9440yeah I gotta admit I was really hating on koby into and during Celtics series and in the off-season.i still believe this team would be unstoppable with a true wing player. However can't deny the change in this team with Kenny. I think we are still a sf away and I mean just like a great defender that can either shoot or dunk idec if he can't hit 3s I think that's the the only thing we haven't tried if we can't win this year healthy
Lifelong fan. Born in Cleveland. And this team is fun. The ball movement is sick. They all have bought in . They play for one another. It's team basketball. Mobley 3 point shot is game changing . And this is with okoro out and Struss sti getting integrated back in. Very deep. I'd like to see Dean wade stay healthy the rest of the year. He always dinged up. If healthy. Good as chance as any to win another Title.
Yes, we stated this before. Cavs have a little San Antonio and GSW style. Except, the Cavs have two great interior players in Allen/Mobley. And, two 4:13 superstar guards.
People always bring up the Knicks as contenders. But seem to forget that the Knicks haven't made it past the 2nd round since 2001 and haven't won a Championship since the early 70's.
Fantastic analysis here bro. I feel like I'm learning about the game on a deeper level. The Cavs been incredible all season. The entire squad is unselfish and wants to get an assist rather than a bucket. Barring injury I cant see them being taken out in a 7 game series.. That's my perspective as a biased Cleveland fan
Will anybody even know? They didn't get an Xmas Day game and, if they even got mentioned in all those hours of coverage, I didn't hear it. Cleveland without LeBron? Not worthy of coverage nationally.
Simply put I would rank the cavs as the best team in the nba because they are the best team right now lol. They are top five in offense defense and net rtg and have the best record in the league
They are 27-4. I think they have done nothing but peak. They aren’t gonna hit a slump. We’re almost halfway thru the season. They are winning 65 games minimum.
Up there with the Knicks?!? Are you kidding me? Cavs this year is just a league of its own a top of the Eastern Conference and probably, the NBA. They don't lead the league in offensive ratings and point differential for nothing. Their Offense is already high powered and their defense is just gonna get better come playoff time as long as their core 4 remains healthy. If they maintain a chokehold of the top spot in the East, I don't see anyone beating them in a 7 game series and yes, that includes Boston. They have the scoring punch and defensive acumen to match the Celts. And then, it will just come down to last second execution and defensive stops.
It's pathetic they still ain't getting any respect I can understand them still not putting them past Boston quite yet I can understand that at the moment they still have stuff to prove to be better then Boston but as far as the other NBA teams they are getting hated on and no respect even tho they still have the best record in the NBA yes I see them losing to the warriors this week and probably the thunder so within the next two weeks they have to play all the best NBA teams so I see them possibly losing 3-4 in the next two weeks but if they manage to get out of this and still winning then it's definitely time to give this team their respect..
Their 1-1 against Boston this year. And they lost the first game down a couple important pieces, and by only 3 points after being down by 20 at one point.
I'm a Cavs fan...in fairness....I would say the Cavs are the 2nd best team in the east. Ya gotta beat the best to be the best. Cavs win in Cleveland against the Celtics was less convincing than their win against us in Boston. Being 1-1 against them is nice....but until we prove we're clearly better than them....I have to give the Celtics the nod. But I think it's clear we are better than any other team in the east (outside of Boston). We handled the Bucks (easily) twice. The Knicks have always been a tough team for the Cavs....and we've only played them once this year, so hard to judge...but we did win and it was in the Garden. So beating them on the road is big for us.

The numbers don’t lie. They only have 4 loses and blowing out opponents 😆😄
How we lost to the hawks twice is unfathomable to me 😭

Cavs have new attitude and it's just what they needed
The Knicks? lol They aren't close to the same league as Cleveland and Boston. I don't know why people even mention them as contenders.
People always bring up the Knicks as contenders. But seem to forget that the Knicks haven't made it past the 2nd round since 2001 and haven't won a Championship since the early 70's.
Why they get mentioned so much: 1. ESPN's headquarters are near New York. 2. New York is by far the biggest market in the east.
Remember when people were saying that Kenny Atkinson as coach was a lateral move?? Hilarious
Right!

Its a shame, isnt it?
And they wonder why people aren't paying to watch their corporate BS
The NBA markets players instead of teams. It’s sad honestly.
They are legit contenders
This is the team we had all expected prior to the coaching change
The real test is when CLE visits OKC😊
The Cavs have the most well rounded offense in the NBA by far. When everyone is playing their role the offense is literally unstoppable
If you care: The dunker threat in your first play is Max Strus.
Simply put I would rank the cavs as the best team in the nba because they are the best team right now lol. They are top five in offense defense and net rtg and have the best record in the league
Sam Merrill, not Sam Morril (that guy is a stand-up comedian)
Cleveland needs more games against the best. OKC especially.
Vegas was wrong too When I saw that total I was like wrong . They are beautiful to watch . The bench is a huge reason too !!!
Please learn how to pronounce Merrill. I have no idea why people say his name like Sam Muhrell it's Merrill lol

Cavs defense must get better
That's the only small thing that needs some improvement. I can't really complain because they play good enough D to compliment the offense.
