man i love this channel how Dr. Vlad keeps the process honest and transparent. keep up the good work guys... I cant wait start my project with you guys.
Nope. I’d section it in. Cutting out the real structure points down from the a-pillar that supports the hinge area where the door hangs is a lot more intrusive than just sectioning in a piece of the rocker. Less work. less intrusive. Just as good. 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice work on that rocker panel, cutting a piece off was the best result. Much less body filler and it looks super sweet. Can't wait for the second part.👍🏼
Vlad, if this was my Porsche and you guys were repairing it, I would go with what you feel is best in the repairs. I have seen enough of your videos to know you and your crew do quality repair and when done no one will know where the repairs were made. Keep producing these quality videos, I really enjoy watching your work! 👍👌
In my shop time is money, you did the right thing, got her in and out of the frame machine without compromising the quality of the repair, on to the next one.
Thank you so much for sharing this information. The attitude of the mechanic is upbeat and positive. you've inspired me to also want to pursue this career path. I love cars and giving them a second chance is awesome. I'm only 17 but I'm thinking ahead. Seriously thank you, I can't emphasize it enough!
Hi Dr. Vlad, In our eyes you can do no wrong! We support you 💯% It's great that you explain why you make certain decisions. You just keep doing what you're doing the best way you know how and don't worry about the haters! We love you! 💓
You guys are awesome! Love these videos. Why throw away these great cars, repair is expensive but puts the cars back on the road. Truly restoration show right here. Thanks for the uploads. Do you sell these builds?
I would only change what need's to be change. Don't need a extra can of worms to be open....it is going to be a sweet ride, bet the new owner is going to love it..
sorry to be offtopic but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Riley Jesiah i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Once Dr. Vlad does the operation the patient has a quick recovery! Before you know it this Porsche will be driving down the road looking like a brand new car! As always I am looking forward to the next video!
mate, good to see you trying to repair the outer panel. No shame in admitting its wasn't turning out as good as you wanted. Excellent back up plan with the section replacement. How did the inner panel turn out? good job fella. would also be good to see some of your other craftsmen at work. Bet your place is full of very talented people.
I would have done the whole thing. If you bought the whole. rocker you might as well use the whole thing.... but---- you are the professional so you can do as you like .....good job.
Yep cut it in every time.. much better than unpicking all that A post, maybe a gas or tig weld for a neat finish on the sill Just my preference, quality and clean job as usual 👍
Hi Martin, It helps to bring everything back into alignment. So after the cut out section is removed, the mating surfaces are in the same plane or square. Often you will see builders pulling on and around large damaged areas (that obviously cannot be saved) before removing the majority of the damaged area and replacing it. Cheers 🍻
Paging dr vlad and papa bear you did the diagnoses surgery and papa bear did the sutra lol now off to plastic surgery your brother. Hope the rest of the family doing well thanks for giving the content and keeping me happy through the covid
I agree with the guy who suggested a new drinking game (a while back,) take a drink every time Vlad says "we'll go from there.." Just kidding. You're fun to watch.
I see that you replaced the middle piece of the door sill frame as well. Solid choice. All three layers are structural and that middle layer was too bent to ever have structural integrity.
Been following your channel for a while and like your work although I'm not to sure about some of the off the cuff comments you made in regards to the damage on that rocker panel area. I would imagine that the insurance would want that piece replaced because I would think its an integral part of the structure and therefore is engineered as such? To simply dismiss it and say 'no one will see it' makes me wonder.
Yes insurance company would have to replace that inner rocker, that’s why they totaled the car.. The damage wasn’t that bad to replace it, to replace the whole piece it would cost a lot of money, The whole point of buying a salvage vehicle the new owner wants to save money, and repaired the vehicle so it’s still safe to be on the road.
@@lnccollision I get the cost saving, I'll assume that it gets officially inspected before getting put back on the road...I'm still learning about what you can and can't do with wrecked cars.
@@babyblu8900 My opinion is as long as the customer knows it's a salvage and it's been repaired it's ok. In this case, the owner bought it and wants it fixed for less so he's taking the risk. There's a problem if the vehicle is being passed as "clean title" and sold to someone as never been wrecked.
Luis Rodriguez exactly this car has a salvage title, customer bought it, brought all the parts and I’m just fixing it... as far as the safety goes, i’ll put my whole family in the car and drive all day every day 100% safe
@@lnccollision fully understood, as you say as long as the customer is aware and the car is safe that's all that matters...keep up the good work and great content...always lots to learn.
Thought you were going to just overlap then mud it (never get the rocker straight) but butting it like that.... I said..... ahhhhhh yes! So your doing this car for a subscriber then? Did they purchase the wrecked car from the auction or did you guys? Curious?
