I just love this song on a technical level. Not only is it the typical Sugiyama style dungeon theme, but he then puts a moody exploration theme that perfectly describes the environment. In most games, you only get one or the other. But more and more since Dragon Quest V, we've been seeing Sugiyama try to emulate both at the same time. And I think this song and the Dungeon theme in Dragon Quest V, he really hit it perfectly.

RIP Koichi Sugiyama. This song was the one that changed me most.
Listened to it with rainymood, gives it real depth, and now i can't stop humming this while it rains in real life.
Even over a decade later, just hearing this song puts the image of Gasbagons milling around in the rain in my head.
