I have the same model but have two issues 1. The power resistor 5k, 1 W, which came with my power supply (65 v, 13 A), gets pretty hot. Is this normal?for 65v it should draw less than 1 W, right? 2. Is the option to remove i-set? Instead of setting constant current, just let the circuit draw current it needs? Thanks for the review. Great presentation 👏
@@englishrupe01 you get 60V nominal and you can use the internal adjustment pot to fine trim it to your liking or use a 72V nominal and lower it down a bit.
@@tanishqbhaiji103 I agree....but that means you need five or six server psu's, as they are all 12v that i have seen and used, so would be a pretty big case.
I have only one question. I do love this BUT the one thing that drives me crazy about some of these displays is the constant cycling of the AH, WH, Temp, Volts at the bottom right. Please tell me if there is a way to turn the auto cycling of this information off and make it static?.... If this cannot be turned off, unfortunately this is a BIG deal-breaker for me. Sometimes when charging I need to watch the AH rating or temperature for more than one second (and not have to wait for the cycle to go around again - very annoying). Thanks is advance for the reply. Also, very very nice job with the review - but the only part of this is when you were waiting for the cycle to complete to see the voltage again, you said nothing about being able to turn that feature off. When you were waiting for the cycle to complete to see the voltage again, I was so hoping that you yourself were going to comment on how annoying that was LOL - but you didn't... Hi, I have mentioned it somewhere that the capacity and battery voltage is being switch but there was no option to disable it as I have explained all features.
@@WattHour on this type it is not posible. On the rd6006 you can set the shut off mah on the battery terminal its 0.1a on the rd6018 (You need the last update )
It's been working on mine, though it's a bit unclear the quickest way to connect, the network distribution selection is either needed each time or the power has to be cycled after the app is open. It does work very well though. It seems to be only accessible when you're on the WiFi network with the phone, not when you're remote and trying it through a mobile data connection.
@@WattHour Hello There is one more Powersupply i have watched on your channel.. WZ-5005 i will order it soon But one thing i wanted to know what will happen if i set it to 50V 5A and short the output will it blow up Thanks for amazing videos. Robojax 😁

I appreciate that!
The Riden products have become more and more professional over the years. Many thanks for the video. Wish i could afford one.
Nice review, extremely thorough.
Nice work again, thanks

I would recommend getting used server power supplies and stacking them in series rather than getting a Chinese PSU as a power source for this.
Kinda tough to get 65 volts from multiple 12v server supplies, though, but i agree that they are way better built.

@@englishrupe01 and connecting an external pot to the external sense pins allows adjustment upto 13.5V per unit.

I think the rd6006 has new software that fix this the rd1018 doesn’t has it yet
@@electro2606 Thank you so much for the reply, and I will have to check out the rd6006. Hopefully it is as good as the rd6018 LOL...

The apps on mobile phone are very bad i can’t get them to work. You need to turn off ip isolation on youre router but it still doesent work fore me

This is so expensive 😢
Yes. But excellent quality and features.

Hi, I have replied and mention if you short circuit it the output and i said it will not get damaged. thanks
