I think you are being way too hard on yourself here, sir. You did a great bunch of testing to evaluate these modules, and who cares if the audio isn't always perfect? No problem. I think these modules are over-rated by about 50%......keep it around 400w max, and stay under 10a. First thing i would do is put a heatsink on that back diode/mosfet, plus reinforce all the tracks on the back with heavy copper wire. The thing that anyone must remember is that the bigger the gap between input and output voltage, the more stress and heat this puts on the module. Keep the voltages as close as possible, if available.
Anyway, i am sorry you had a tough, stressful time with these, but you still produced a really useful video for all of us. Many thanks.

Thanks. At least we know not to buy this one. They are dramatically overstating the specifications here and the unit might be okay if operated within more reasonable limits, but such exaggeration is fraud.

Thanks for that. I have two of these devices that are behaving just fine. I want to try and drive the settings via the serial interface on the PCB there are 4 pins below the output marked on mine as +5, TX, RX and Gnd .

    Thank you so much.
I have question and I need your input.
After adjusting the output voltage can the module save it?
So it will be kept even if you being disconnect from input power.
In another word should adjust the output voltage each time I connect module to the power?

🧐Would this work for an electric mower conversion? I have a 36v battery and I need it to output 120v for the motor.

    • @WattHour
      @WattHour  ปีที่แล้ว +1

this module outputs DC voltage. I am not sure if mower has a DC motor. usutally it is AC. Regardless, I have tested and showed the current (ampere) so at 120V x 2A = 240W would be the output power. you gotta find the power of your mower and see if this can handle it.

I have a DX800S i suppose that is the same like the drok I use it as mppt for my 340 solar panel and 36 volt battery and have a efficientie of 93-94 percent and it in service a year but higher voltage i have not try it out because i don't need it

I guess after watching this video, the Drok CNC I ordered will need to be used for another reason then what I ordered it for. What if you want to charge Lifepo4 to only 80% of its capacity?

Update. Blown fuse today. Apon further review using these with Low Voltage Input you cannot expect these to pump more power then the input fuse. 100w max continuous with 12v. My test also confirmed this module comes to life with 24-48v systems but still only draw 10 amps off the input voltage to be safe. Thanks again RoboJax.

I can confirm this thing is a piece of shit.
Set it for 63.1v out at 4 amps, (61v, 8a supply).
Connected to battery to charge, pushed far right button to start and it instantly went blank.
    It's completely dead.

Try giving it maybe 55v, instead. It needs a few volts headroom between in and out.
