Thank you for this. Kanan Jarrus (Caleb Dume) is my favorite Star Wars character, alongside Obi Wan. Both are tragic and full of loss, but transformational and enlightening as well. Like Kanan, my childhood abruply ended around 15, followed by years of dangerous jobs and partying hard. I also found my way back to my soul and found new purpose, guiding others who lost their way. When I found Rebels I also had long brown hair in a ponytail, goatee and green eyes. I finally realized what it felt like to really bond with a character. I lost it when Kanan made his sacrifice, even more so with the mural during Sabine's monologue at the very end. Reconnecting with Star Wars has been one of the most fruitful experiences of my life. And it all started with Kanan. Again, thank you!
Kanan was 14 when Order 66 happened. His time as a Jedi Padawan to Depa Billaba and partner of Janus Kasmir took place from 19 BBY to 18 BBY. This means Kanan was 13*, later 14, then 15 years old.
Thank you for sharing your story. I love Kanan with all my heart. He’s my favorite Jedi. A heart of gold, a rebellious soul, a father figure to Ezra. He deserved to be happy with Hera and his son. He deserved to live. It’s beautiful that you can identify with him because of your life story. Kanan is the wisest Jedi because he was very human and he lived his life and his feelings to the fullest.
That was stunning. I was going to watch half an hour of it and then put the rest off till later - but I ended up on the edge of my seat, watching it all the way through first time. You really feel for Caleb, and then when he returns to Kallar you really feel for Kanan too. Who would want to revisit traumatic times like that?
Yes, please! I'll watch every single Star Wars comic ever made if they keep coming out like this. So entertaining and it really brings the art, characters, and stories to life! Thanks to all who made this happen!
Master Billaba teaching Caleb "there will be inevitable loss, but that must not prevent the true jedi from taking risks. From surrendering oneself to a higher purpose" hurts when you remember later on Kanan sacrificed himself in Rebels :´(
Now this is a production. From someone who doesn't like reading comics or novels but wants to experience the stories all the same because it is star wars. Thank you. You don't get half the experience that you just got from simply reading a comic book on your own.
This comic does a good job in making grievous feel menacing again. He's built up as the first big bad and quite admirably so. everyone around him, even the non droids fear him enough to die, and the fact that he put Bilabba in a coma is a good way to show how strong he is.
I don't know how you do it, but this right here words can't describe. Thank you for the effort it has paid off, this whole thing is beautifully voiced.
Holy shit great work as always dude! Kanans voice actor is so perfect, same goes for the others! Everyone did such a good job and the music is spot on!
Thank You, The Lore Master, for revealing this masterpiece to me. Thank You, for making me able to experience one more adventure, in the galaxy I love.
this is great. halfway thru i googled kanan and realized the "kid" was him. awesome. every panel...the sound design and voices. the entire comic, awesome. this is why i love star wars.
10/10 love it and love the other audio comics, the voices are prefect, and even the voices i heard in my head while reading the comics when they came out. keep up this amazing content please
Imagine after Kanan is blinded in rebels he goes pack to the medical droid and the medical droid is like “Go away and never came, unless you are bleeding internally”
I love the way this is done especially in the beginning the way the picture slide in the way the bubbles fill up with the words as they speak them great voice acting everything thank you when you can't afford comics you really do appreciate stuff like this
Welp after Order 66, Caleb Dume or shall I say Kanan Jarrus has been through a hell lotta shit on Kaller. Met a Separatist Leader who became a scoundrel and Kasmir. I'd say that there should be a tribute for Kanan Jarrus by now. Edit: Okay, there is one already.
1:24:45 that ship is an HWK-290 light freighter, and in star wars legends Kyle Katarn's old ship was the "Moldy Crow" an HWK-290 light freighter but later Kyle replaced it with the Raven's Claw after the Moldy Crow crashed on Ruusan.
Artwork sure is great (Depa and Hera look beautiful!), but what really kept me entertained was the magnificent voice acting. Have a Like, my thanks and my humble subscribe.
I'm barely past the 30min mark, and this is SO good. I mean, the comic is really good. But seeing it like this, as a sort of animated feature, it's AWESOME.
I just wanna say that I know this takes you a lot of time and effort to make these videos but I love every single one of them especially the story videos it’s freaking amazing man keep it Rollin
At the age of fourteen, Caleb Dume's life as a Jedi apprentice ended tragically when the Jedi Purge began, and the Galactic Empire was born. After that, he spends approximately one year learning the ways of survival within the galaxy with the guidance of Janus Kasmir.
@@SoutherlySoup I didn’t say that. I think we need to explore exactly that, and how he knew about the inhibitor chips (he says that in Rebels, but that isn’t brought up even in the comic). He should be under the impression the Bad Batch are the enemies the entire time, and when they tell him about the chips, he attacks and nearly kills one of them in defense before running away.
(Meme at the end) It was a pleasure to see this. It is true that i am more lenient to storylines which take place during the clone war as it’s my preferred period, but even the rebels part was great! The writing, the characters plus the voice acting just feels right because it’s top notch. I don’t know who wrote it but i know that the rebel should have been written the same way like this. PS: the local garrison when they received two stormtroopers who’s brain cell isn’t alone. And competent officer who isn’t Tarkin or Thrawn .... “We weren’t expecting special forces!”
@@Scottsshow it does but the problem for me is they just tone down everything down comparing to clone wars and completely relieves on characters from that show like maul, Asoka, and Captain Rex or other expanded universe content that used to be canon like thawn And I hate it when people use the argument it’s a kid show so was the clone wars when it aired on Cartoon Network but in the late 2000s.early 2010s. Yes I know seasons 1 and 2 were toned down comparing to 3-7 but clone was grew as the age demographic grew older. And rebels felt nearly the same the whole show or was like hey remember this from the better show. there’s also stuff about the writing I disliked so damn much like thawn being tone down way to much, the final battle was so underwhelming, Using the Starwars equivalent of time travel of bringing Asoka back from the dead (Yes I think she should of died by Vader’s hands, it would been a really tragic but suitable end to a really good character), the grand inquisitor getting killed off in season 1. There’s a lot I can point out but it’s all just my opinion if you like rebels that awesome I’m glad someone else is able to enjoy a show I can’t enjoy.
Ah Rebels will never bet clone wars. Still I do agree with you mostly. Rebels is toned down and the seasons only weirder as thay went on but the story telling was ok at best. Still this makes our teacher character feel more like a teacher and not just a new kid around the block.
@@Scottsshow just edited my post but yeah I do agree it expands Kaleb/Keenan character a lot more and makes him more like able in the show. But it does also expand on a background in the prequel‘s as well which kind of fleshs that out as well
Pretty good. They way overdid the "don't call me kid" thing, but otherwise very enjoyable. That medic bot had me laughing pretty hard, and I liked the spellbreaker moment for Grey.

Just incredible.
I would hoped that Kleeve & Janus would have had a reunion with Kanan.

yeah that was the lesson. the one that ezra finally realized as well. damn its so sad
Ok but I love the fact that the clones sounds like the original voice actor of the clone troopers (Temuera Morrison)
The voice acting has been really well done with nearly all of these audio-comics.
Temuera is making aqua babies with Kidman.
