What are great video it was nice chatting with everybody too! It's so fascinating to have so many people from so many parts of the world coming together at 1 point In time! Thank you Sean's world for making it possible!!!! Squishes 🤗❤
I like the finish you used on the doors in the boot room, I think it brings out the finer details on the doors instead of having them highly varnished and super shiny.
Hello Sean. What a beautiful channel you have. In addition to the work you do, you bring us closer to life in Normandy. Wonderful impressions of the life of the French and the companies that do great work. Please continue. Stay healthy. Warm greetings from Germany.
I did like the tall free standing clock. Never seen a big car car boot like that here. It looks a beautiful area. That patisserie brings the memories of my hols in France as a child flooding back. I am loving those doors with the birds and the nod to the countryside on them. They look lovely.
Beautiful Doors Sean . They will make a lovely cupboard like you did with your boot room . I wonder if billy will be interested in what you found? Loved watching😘
I have collected beautiful old treasures for 50+ years. My grand father worked in local furniture manufacturing and I've inherited some nice things from him as well.
Ooooh....that is St.Francis and probably there was a bird on his head! I have seen many depictions of it that way. Nice find...Billy needs one for his convent garden. Wow on those doors!!! I have a very old French break front which has amazing carved doors and features...it's a work of art!
OK, I am properly jealous now lol Between the chocolates and the doors !! I did those sales the years I lived in Germany. What great things you can find and bring home. :)
Oh my goodness gracious those chocolates looked yummy! Looking forward to seeing how you use the magnificent fruit wood doors you bought. Long day when you get up at silly o’clock, hope you had a nap later. Thanks Sean🙏❤️
Gorgeous doors, and you certainly can't beat the price. I can't even imagine how much something like that would cost here in the USA. I love what you've done with the others, the Sean touch!
I love the doors. The doors in the boot room are also very beautiful. So, at the sale, I would love to turn an old clock cabinet into a special cabinet just for jam and jelly jars. French jelly jars are so special. They need their own cabinet. ❤
Oh my goodness, what a bargain-the doors are gorgeous. Well done! I’m so jealous of all those beautiful patisseries in France. Can’t wait to see what you do with your new set of doors.
Great doors! I worked under a master woodcarver for a time...Wood is a wonderful medium. Your antique doors are gorgeous. You will give them a new purpose. Cheers.
I immediately thought of Billy when i saw that statue too. I loved that big clock, would look good in the entrance hall to the convent, maybe billy will watch your video You made my mouth water when you showed us your Almond croissant 😂😂 then the chocolates. what a fab find on those doors and love what you did with the old ones, im a great fan of recycle upcycle, one mans rubbish is another mans treasure.
Beautiful doors. Missed the premier but watching now. Summer has begun here in Saskatchewan 🇨🇦 I planted my carrots , tomorrow is the beans , beets. Then 30 Tomatoes 🍅 plants, in about 4 days 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Sean, your boot room is absolutely charming and your purchases have been put to great use. Tell Sam the wallpaper is simply beautiful. Enjoy the good weather. Can't wait to see how the cottage turns out.
Beautiful doors!!! You stole them!,!!! The hardware alone is worth that! I’m commenting from mono amd Mimi but my name is sonja i love that you are sharing these finds with us on your blog and love the villages and chateaus !
Hello Sean but I was laughing at your introduction. I thought you said Silly O’clock in the morning and I agreed with you. 😂 The doors were absolutely beautiful. Great find. Thank you for taking me along. Take care.😊❤
I love the smaller French table and mantle clocks and candlesticks! That’s what I’d have been looking for ❤️ I love your doors but wondered what handles you’d place on them; however when you showed us the doors that you previously purchased with the beautiful handles that you found for them, I don’t even have to ask. You have a great eye!
oh, my... sometimes I could just fit into your pocket Sean and go with you to some of these yummy places to eat... thanks so much for sharing what's out and about in your neck of the woods....
Hello Sean, you said if there was anything I would have bought to tell you!! So at about one third of the way through the video there’s a tall kitchen cupboard of solid wood and on it was a small picture in a frame. Well this frame is VERY intricately carved. Frames like those would be hundreds of dollars if you bought brand new. It would be a very elegant touch in your cottage or even in the convent. Anyway, just thought I would share this with you!! And the doors you bought are gorgeous!!
Sean, going by the hair style and clothing, I'd say the carved statue is of a canonized monk/abbott of the Benedictine rule. It's hard the say why the right hand is turned down. It may have been holding something that's broken off now. A first guess would be that it's either St. Benedict himself or St. Bernard of Clairvaux. The position of the left hand would suggest that it held a bishop's/abbott's staff at one time, which would confirm Benedict or Bernard. But the position of the left hand is odd, so it might be a different canonized abbot. One would expect Benedict to be holding a book (his rule) or Bernard to be holding either a book or the model of a church (signifying the abbey he founded). Either way the hand would be turned upwards, not down. The habit is carved nicely, but the face is a bit, err, simple. At a closer look, the left hand may have been holding the top of an item that was standing next to the figure. I'll have a look around what it might be.
What a great video and music to go along with it. You found some beautiful doors too! I love the candlestick you were holding and the sconce next to it, in the orange box at 3:15. ❤ Cheers
Treasure doors for sure. Love the beaushie boot room. When you built it I was like wow, it is such a cool room. Can’t wait to see where the new doors go! 😊
Wow, 20 euro’s that is really a bargain Sean, and those doors look amazing, hoping you will use them in your new renovated cottage, or doing the same as the others. Thank you Sean, have a lovely weekend
☕️🥐… 😉 À bientôt ! 🌸🌸🌸
Oh, I saw several pieces of copper I'd like to have but most of all, this old sorcière would love to have one of those large cauldrons you panned over. Sean, those door sets are gorgeous, especially the second set you showed. I was going to suggest you use them for closet doors. Kudos!
Nice to see old quality furniture parts saved. Here where I live near Seattle such items are thrown away. It's a pitty but Mid Century Modern rules here to the detrement of antiques. In our area many Brittish ex/pats live and have brought along their furnishings.... Sad they are not appreaciated. Best, Brian
Those doors you purchased were a steal. I mentally guessed 250 euros. I love the 2 sets of doors that you installed for your cupboard. I saw several things I would have scooped up. What fun for you. Hello from Yakima,Washington.
I love all the fun places you take us to! As for what I saw at the sale that I would love to have, there were many, many items! I am enthralled by all the antiques in France compared to here in the US! The doors are absolutely gorgeous! Great find!
I love seeing that town. Great sale. The bakery looked cheap, prices were good. How much did the chocolates come to? How many do you get? I was €100 out 😮 with the doors, what beautiful detailing and colour. Just knew they were going to be old when I saw the Fleur-de-lis Great vlog, loved it. Hope Sam loved her chocs, I would of chosen a violet one lol x ❤ thanks Sean 👏
That croissant aux amandes looked delicious! I never tried them when I was in France, but I enjoyed plain croissants and pain au chocolat. Where I live, out in the country in the US, such things are impossible to find! The doors you bought are beautiful! It’s hard to believe they were only €20! I can’t wait to see what you do with them!
Beautiful find, those doors, I was a bit jealous of those chocolates seeing as I’m diabetic, I’m sure Sam will enjoy them. Hopefully Billy likes the carving for his convent chapel 😊
Those doors are absolutely beautiful. Wish we had such things here in the USA.
We do have these types of items in the US.
We do have these her in Alabama and North Florida has a road side sale that stretches through several towns once every few months .
We do. You should look at some of the amazing colonial antiques.

The doors are super Sean. What a great find. Love those in your boot room 😊❤
Those doors are exquisite I would buy them too just gorgeous. I love seeing the chocolate shop and the market.
I like the finish you used on the doors in the boot room, I think it brings out the finer details on the doors instead of having them highly varnished and super shiny.
