I've heard that the laser treatment doesn't last long and it can only be done 2 or 3 times. And also people are left with seeing a white dot all the time. Any thoughts on this?

Can I know that my father is having advanced glaucoma.
But first his eye pressure was very high.
But after taking the medicines it's normal .
But last day we checked from the doctor it was a bit higher then before then he said to do a laser therapy.

I had a Xen Gel Stent implanted a year ago. It was done under a local anaesthetic & took about 15 minutes, compared to the Trabeculectomy I had done 10 years ago with a local anaesthetic which took 2 hours. After initial problems owing to my healing too quickly it has reduced eye pressure from 22 to 10.

0.27 he quotes "We believe glaucoma is caused by pressure and its effect on the optic nerve". So scientist are not certain what causes glaucoma.
