starryeyes that's my favorite orb, if only because it literally took me years to find. As a very young child, Spyro games to taught me to be adventurous and explore my world. Some of the most beautiful memories I have, really, thanks to these games.

My nostalgia for this game is crazy-huge. Does anyone else find themselves thinking about the impact games can have on someone's life while listening to this? I mean, merely listening to this brings a tear to my eye and reminds me of a time in life where there wasn't so much stress. Life was simple back then, all I had to worry about was doing my easy second-grader homework, and there were no anxieties about the troubles of teenage/adulthood. It was just me, a PS1, and my faithful old purple pal.
Man, the original Spyro trilogy has a way of making me get really cheesy lol.

Spyro 2 is the best in the series. Great level design, perfect difficulty, amazing sound, visuals, and gameplay for the Playstation... Not to sound weird but I always like to take the whirlwind to the highest tower where you can hear the wind blow. Then you take off and fly slowly to that pillar of land outside the edge of the castle wall. Those moments that stick with you are what make a videogame amazing.

      100% exactly the same.
I was once a happy child who played happy games and had happy memories of all kinds, who then turned into a lonely, sad adult, who lost the peace inside of me because everything lost sense for me.
If my life was a dream... I wish that dream came to an end. The beautiful story of it has already been told, and I love with my heart those memories of when I was once a happy, and a carefree... lost in time.

I feel the same way... It's incredible how those sceneries, imprinted on our minds at a young age, live on. Anytime I see landscapes in the real world that remind me of those fictional places, I have this feeling inside that I'm sure stems from when I was playing the game. It's wonderful how the past enrichens the present in this way.

Im 22 years old, I'm not a religious person but damn, if a "Heaven" could exist I hope I could just go back intime and replay my favourite games.... Banjo Kazooie N64 --> Pokemon (first few generations)--> Spyro Trilogy, Ratchet and Clank trilogy, Sly Cooper trilogy, Simpsons Hit N Run ---> Being 15 playing Mw2 with all of my friends for hours at a day... Now I'm just busy with work, and at times life can be so fucking amazing but I'd kill to be a kid in those certain events of my childhood. Playing these old games now is still fun but its not the same. It can never be the same.. I'm not a kid or a young teenager, I just hope I could replay these games as a kid again or just play the games with my younger self or younger friends when we weren't all so busy. Rip

+worksmagic89 Yup, and one day you will die, and unless there is some system or divine being that will somehow revive your consciousness, your consciousness will just vanish and everything that you ever lived will be as if they never happened. It's sad to most, but just because it's sad doesn't mean it can't be real.

Die?No,guys. You may think Death is the worst thing that can happen to a living being. But it is NOT!Death is just one unknown entity which we always face in reality due to the many dangers that lurk in this world. One who we will eventually meet when the right time comes.A time when we will sleep and make sweet dreams thanks to all of the great memories that we had during our lifetime. And when we wake up,not only will he greet us like old friends. He will also re-introduce us to all of the friends we have made as well as our very own family knowing that despite the fact he can decay our flesh,he can NOT do the same thing with the bondings we have created with them over time.Knowing that we will relive with them the journeys we once had together in one single and endless one.
EDIT: If there is one thing we should be doing right now is to thank God for keeping us alive and enjoy our beautiful lives as much as we can as well as balance the joy of it along with its torture.

A refreshing song that reminds us of the cooling autumn wind after a long and hot summer, rejuvenating ourselves as we look forward to experiencing the leaves changing into beautiful fall colors before they fall to the ground, drying up and making a satisfying crunch noise when stepped on. In this hub, you can climb up and glide to a certain spot that has an updraft that will make you go up very high and you can glide all the way back down, enjoying the beauty of the world below you as you descend on your way back, enjoying this magical music that pleases the soul.

So, I remember when this game came out actually. I was very young. I wasn't even in kindergarten. My dad brought it home for me. Of course being a child, I never took good care of my games and it was scratched to all hell and I couldn't play it. The first time I played this game again was about fourish, fiveish, years ago. My brother found a copy at a local game store and bought it for me and I played it over again (finally beating it) Anyway, it was a couple of days before my Junior year of high school to start and my brother had his friend over. We all went outside, my room had an upstairs porch (I know it's called a balcony but, my balcony wasn't luxurious. There was box and shit all over it) and we smoked a hell of a lot of pot. After I came back in, I was feeling so damn good and started playing this game. I was in the autumn plains and this song came on and I was zoning out to it. It felt so amazing. It relaxed me so much. I probably sat on my bed for a good half hour, completely in a trance, just listing to this, and staring at a carpet. It was amazing. I'll never forget that night.

I may not have grown up with Spyro, but the homeworld music in Spyro 2 tells me very important messages in my book. The way I see it, Summer Forest represents the joys of being out of school or college and spending time outside during a nice hot sunny day as well as the leeway from being out of work, and it symbolizes what feels like endless sunlight and happiness, and all the hope that we seek landing among us like a butterfly. Autumn Plains represents not only the changes of nature all around us with the leaves changing colors, the trees shedding their leaves, temperatures getting cooler, days starting to get shorter and sunlight becoming less, but also the changes in life that we all go through, such as kids returning to school, adults returning to college and going back to work, but even the Autumn Plains music evokes hope and happiness between all those uncertain changes in life as well. And then Winter Tundra represents the sign of hope and happiness even in the darkest and shortest of days where what was before full of color and sounds of nature is now coated in black and white and dismal quietness. The way Winter Tundra's music sounds, it's kinda the sound of hibernation in my book, as it also represents that the school year for children is only halfway through, and adults and college students are nearly worked to their limit, and there's still half a week before the holidays, but it also evokes a feeling of warmth and coziness among the times that it's almost too cold to be outside. In my opinion, Spyro 2 has the best and most unique music in the whole franchise.

I wanted him to buy me either Spyro 2 or CTR, but it was a little expensive for him at the time. $39.99 , which would be $60-$65 today and he didn't necessarily have the best paying job. He was barely able to get us by) and the first Spyro game for my birthday. Come every other Friday nights and Saturdays , my dad would take us to blockbuster to rent SPYRO 2 and Crash Team Racing! It was even more awesome when he would order us a Pizza and me and my siblings would entertain ourselves playing the games until the food arrived! Fun times knowing that we only had 5 days to complete as much of the games as we could before returning them. I loved being in Autumn Plains around 5-6 pm, Sunset, just like in the game.
Then He got me Crash Bandicoot Warped for my second good report card.
Come the last 2 1/2 months of elementary school, my aunt had surprised with an unexpected gift....SPYRO 2!!!!! I was so damn happy that I could play it indefinitely!!!! Man, how I loved staring at the holographic booklet. 😆🤣.
Also, I was counting the days to the last week of school because on that Thursday, we would be going to a beach trip. So to make the time go by , I spent long hours trying to complete the game.
Also watching THE MUMMY (1999) every single day for the last 2 months, the desert setting especially the sand made me think even more about the trip. And the desert levels SCORCH and SHADY OASIS would bring up THE MUMMY.
Pokémon the first movie also kept me entertained to make that day come quicker.
So come the last week, on Wednesday (day before the beach trip) , I get home at noon. My dad arrives 3 hours later and tells me that he has something for me.
Takes me to his room, under his pillow was Crash Team Racing!!!!!
My jaw dropped! I hugged him, told him he was the best dad!!! After finishing The MUMMY, I spent the rest of the day playing CTR!!!!
    Summer of 2000
    Dear God 😢😭
I want to go back 22 years ago, erase the Playstation from my memory and relive that sensation all over again!!
From demo discs, to slowly playing some of those full versions!
Especially Spyro 2 and Crash Team Racing!!!
I play this music at sunset on my phone and my heart starts racing and I get a lump on my throat!!! Remembering simpler times.
    😢😭 😢😭

I remember as a child that I always felt sad whenever I heard this music. It would remind me that Summer Vacation was almost over and I would have to return to school, which, as a child, I absolutely hated.
Now, I look back on this music with fondness and nostalgia...

Of all the worlds and of all the music I'm looking forward to experiencing in the Reignited trilogy, Autumn Plains is at the very top. I love the homeworld, I love how it looks, I love how you climb up and run through the castle, I love standing at the top of the castle and listening to the wind roar as you overlook the world, and I love the soundtrack, one of tranquility. My favorite area in my favorite game in the series.

Dear God this brings back memories! (': I always pictured me being a little girl being taken up by angles and floating above the sea and its just after sunrise so everything is peachy and warm, and the white clouds are gently wisping across my face. I smell the warm sea air and as I get closer to heaven the chorus of welcoming angels gets louder and louder until i'm gently layed down in a soft bed of clouds.

A part of this exact music is played on an episode of Breaking Bad. I recognized it because I've always loved it. Autumn Plains was my favourite home world when I was a kid and still remains my favourite to this day. I used to love hearing the wind at the top of the highest tower. I would glide down to the pool. I think that if I died that home world would be a part of my heaven :)

Every day after school, I got home, booted spyro 1 or 2 on the ps2 and deleted my old saves just to play the game over and over and over again. I'm so glad to be one of many who hold Spyro close to their heart. The reignited trilogy really brought it back, but nothing can beat the original. I'll never forget the purple boi who stood by my side while growing up.

Not only this beautiful game's song but also you guys are great. I feel so happy to see your comments to read about how your feelings are. I like them all. Spyro 2 reminds me my good memories from my childhood. I was playing this game over and over. I didn't know Englosh and I didn't even know that there is a thing called "Memory Card" . So, everytime I was playing from the beginning but I never got bored and never tired of playing the stages again. Sometimes I was leaving it open so that I could keep playing. I mostly paused or stayed in this stage cuz I loved it. The music, the atmosphere and jumping sheep. Idk who created this game and songs but I deeply thank for the people who's spent their time on this and created such a beautiful game. I'm not sure, maybe thanks to this game, I like different kind of musics like Ambient, Chillout, Chillstep and Meditation musics. I have this music on my phone and before I go sleep sometimes I listen to this. It makes me peaceful and relax, feel like flying in the paradise or in such a beautiful place.

The homeworlds in this game, and especially this one, had a surreal, magical medieval fantasy atmosphere to them that was often present in the first game but severely lacking in this game outside of the home areas. I've always loved this game, but it was a bit jarring to go from a level with goofy cartoon slugs talking in southern accents to this isolated fantasy landscape. I really wish that a game existed with the updated graphics from the Reignited trilogy that took place in a single, unified open world environment that was something like this or Winter Tundra (or both). It'd be like a kid-friendly Witcher 3 or something along those lines. Too bad it'll never happen.

That's some deep stuff. I'm only 17, and I already know what you mean. This game is counted among my childhood favorites. Life gets so hard when you're always dreaming, reaching but never touching, and struggling for something better. Natural beauty and wonder beyond imagining shall await those who just hold on, after a tough life. I hope we can all unite to make life simpler, easier, more tranquil. Let's set aside our greed, our pride, and our hate. Purge the darkness, and embrace the light.
