Solskjaer "I was thrilled to play an extra 30 minutes in a Champions League final. Obviously it didn't turn out that way and I've only myself to blame for that."
😂😂😂
So humble..😁
Very humble this guy!
incredible quote. god i hope he stays as manager
@@SarahLibogomalove I thing tat is one of the reasons that they have become where they are, and now he will lead the team, I really think that he will have many good years with the team. There will be hard periods as well, there is no team who win everything. but all in all I think they chose the right man, and I do not say that because I'm a Norwegian myself, there is just something unike with him and United, something he couldn't have done for another team, Ole and United belong together, more than he belong in Molde ore Kristiansund his hometown, he burn for United in another way than anything other. 2 minutes to go and I switched off the tele and went to sleep. I didn't want to see Bayern holding the trophy.
The next day when I was at work,
(I am Dutch but live in the Čech Republic and work in Germany),
I was wondering why nobody talked about football and this final.
When I asked how the final ended I got no answer. Then I realized something had gone wrong for Bayern.
And yes, Manchester had the trophy.
Well done lads, you made my day than.

I remember watching it as a 12 year old with my dad.
Myself a United fan and my dad a fan of no team.

Then remember going absolutely mental when Solskjaer scored the winner.
One of the few vivid memories I have of events from my childhood.

Even as a household of Arsenal fans, we celebrated like mad when that second goal went in.
K o j e Likewise. The moment I realised I'd be supporting United in that final as an Arsenal fan was the semi final when Keane got that booking to rule him out the final. Many many players would have had their heads go down and that's that, but he somehow managed to grab that team and drag them to the final himself almost even knowing he'd miss it. So rarely does a moment like that happen that you have to admire it and get dragged into it. As someone who hated that bloody guy my entire estimation of him spun on a dime that day, a truly great player and more importantly a great man and leader.
James Stewart A display of absolute class from you and yours, James.
Good on you mate👌🏼👌🏼
Lol what ? I’ll never understand that one, maybe only people from england can relate.

As United, fan, I have to say thank you, you have shown true class. Sometimes we have to go beyond our tribalism and congratulate the other team .
Magic football, it doesn’t exist anymore 😢
8-2 does exist at least 😂
Still does, watch Liverpool
That was not just another CL Final. This is hope..This is life. These are moments that make champions.
This was a difficult match for Manchester United. Without two of their best players in Roy Keane and Paul Scholes, they couldn't pick their best line-up, having to play Nicky Butt and Beckham through the middle instead. Needless to say, that midfield was overran by Bayern the whole match.. this doesn't take away from what the team achieved though, whoever says this was an "undeserved" win clearly didn't watch the rest of the campaign, specially the semi-final vs Juventus, who had been in the 3 CL finals previous to this and had a world-class line-up from top to bottom. Keane's presence in that match was immense though, United missed him badly for this final.
juventus without del piero , inter with only injured ronaldo at 2n leg. juventus finish 7th and inter finish 8th in serie A that season, so united beat 2 mid table team on their way to the final. United played without keane and scholes for 93 minutes, while bayern played without matthaus and basler in the final 12 minutes. Yeah , so undeserverdly, just pure luck.

4:24 That talk by Sir Alex during half time, as quoted here by Schmeichel, is the reason why he is one of the greatest managers of all time. 19 years, as an Arsenal fan, came back remembering this, actually appreciated such a sporting moment and respected the rival manager n his team. For their desire to win things. FA cup semi finals, Giggs scored that winner to overturn a dominating side. This final as well. True Champions that season. No doubts.
Wow
I always felt as a United fan that if Arsenal had of beaten United in the FA Cup semi final that year then United would have won nothing. That would have broken the momentum
the gunners are what made us what we were and vise versa, the two best clubs in the league going head to head constantly upping the ante so that the other had to do that much better.

2 goals in stoppage time...greatest comeback ever..
liverpool might have the best final match ever, but i think this united's triumph is the greatest of all...this was before all the millionaires took over the football world...united had to overcome barcelona and munich in the group stages, then held off inter, juventus and faced munich again in the final...won the treble, won the champions league unbeaten (which they did again in 2008) and mind you, this munich side was also on course for treble of their own..they lost the german cup final as well a few weeks later...it was united who basically ended munich's hope of treble...so two sides on course for treble...then united just showed their grit and determination...fantastic achievement it was, and it will never be repeated in the same manner..many teams will win the treble...but not like united..
The reason Liverpool’s was better was because there team was average going in. Both matches were amazing to watch

it was fairly even, United dominated possession but both sides pretty much had the same amount of clear cut chances (up till stoppage time)

Are you sure? But only 1 goal in 2 minutes Liverpool need 3 goals
I Love Liverpool Its was 2 goals in 1 minute 45 seconds actually. In the 90th and 92nd minutes. After Liverpool scored their 3 goals, the match dragged on for another 60 minutes and then penalties. Not as dramatic as scoring 2 goals right at the end of the match.

The year I made the best choice of my life by joined Manchester United and year 2019 my daughter joined us too and till today am still proud of my team GGMU 👨👩👧
A fan doesnt join a team or even choose one, especially not as an adult. That's just a typical casual. A real fan is born and he doesn't choose his club the club chooses him and regardless of anything that happens it is always your club through good and bad. The fans who choose their club will leave to follow another club as soon as the bad times start. The modern era is full of such fans. In my day we had supporters not fans. Theres no way a man utd fan in Japan or india feels the same way about them as a fan from Salford or Swinton... theres just no way.
I didn't see the winner because I was still celebrating the equaliser.
20 years on and still the greatest thing I've ever witnessed.

Football miss The old Man United and the old Ac Milan ♡
Lets be real mate...with all the financial power that United have...we will probably see them at the top or at least competing against top dogs soon...but AC Milan haven't got a prayer to hold on to...Milan enjoyed quite a dominant period between 2003 and 2007...n as a fan of football it hurts to say that...Milan will never be that good again...Milan got arrogant...they didn't build for the future...they thought that pirlo, seedorf, gattuso will never grow old...n they sold Kaka as well...
