I like the symbolism of Deku's team connecting to his OG anime counterpart.
Feebas - Starts off as a useless fish before evolving into an elegant sea serpent.
Riolu - Evolves via friendship to become a great brawler.
Rufflet - A weak little baby birb dreaming of becoming a brave eagle.

There are a lot of mons that could go with Midoriya for his starter, so don't sweat it.
I also vaguely remember one time where he got a starter that I wouldn't have thought of, but that completely made sense when thinking about it, but I don't remember which one.

I find it funny that. The water types but I can honestly just say that Jim changed hands all the time. So I don't really have any. I don't so I don't so don't have anything to say.
