Not necessarily. I only mentioned Ultra Instinct due to the fact that I made the form kinda similar to it to where Marowak can use both the Unmastered and the Mastered form when needed.

I always wanted to give Ash a Quagsire in one of my stories, so I figured with Ash already getting an unconventional choice in Gyarados for his Kanto Water Type, i’d keep the streak going by giving Ash Wooper, plus I always felt like Quagsire really fits Ash.
