Challenge to Monte Rosa - Drone 4k

Dopo il successo della salita sul Cervino, questa volta ho osato sfidare il Monte Rosa. Il cielo prometteva battaglia col vento... e così è stato. Dopo un primo tentativo sfacciato di salire fin sulla Punta Nordend senza riguardo del vento, finito con un mesto dietrofront, ho tentato un approccio più cauto, volando all'interno di un canalone, per nascondermi il più possibile. Già si vedeva dal basso quello che si preparava in alto... infatti, una volta giunto sul bordo del ghiacciaio, il vento ha ripreso a soffiare tenace e il drone faticava ad avanzare. Solo il tempo di uno sguardo fugace alla montagna irraggiungibile e sono tornato giù con la coda tra le gambe, o tra le eliche del drone. Ma la sfida è solo rimandata. Stay tuned :)
After the success of the Matterhorn climb, this time I dared to challenge Monte Rosa. The sky promised battle with the wind... and so it happened. After a first bold attempt to climb up to the Nordend Point without regard to the wind, which ended with a sad turnabout, I attempted a more cautious approach, flying inside a gully, to hide as much as possible. I could already see from below what was happening above... in fact, once I reached the edge of the glacier, the wind started blowing tenaciously again and the drone struggled to advance. Only the time for a fleeting glance at the unreachable mountain and I went back down shamefaced. But the challenge is only postponed. Stay tuned :)

Outstanding footage and determination! The wind made it's presence heard toward the end and it was easy to see what you were faced with! There had been many times when myself and my partners ventured out with a plan, only to have Mother Nature change them, often when we were closest to reaching our goals! But there are other days that are better and safer. Good Luck and as ever, thank you for these excellent films!!!
