So glad you lads started this channel. Best thing on TH-cam by far. Jacks dry humour and how you pair just bounce off each other is absolutely hilarious every time.
When you launched this channel I was really worried about the type of content you were going to put out and how it was going to work out for you. I am so happy that you’ve found your niche. So entertaining! Thank you for your videos, you’re doing great!
@ I go there and find the cheap, plentiful, and delicious bakery items to be the equivalent to me! Like Ethan in these videos, I’m constantly eating pastries.
@@cozmokramer Yeah, that's insane. Here in Estonia gas is 1.70€ or about 3x the price, but our average wage is also 2-3x smaller than in the US. So comparatively gas is 6x cheaper for people living in the US vs Estonia. And people in the US keep talking how gas has gotten so expensive. LOL
For foreigners. In my experience the worst way to roadtrip in America is to use the freeway and interstate highways. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re going by car it’s the best way to make time and get from point a to point B. But! You miss out on a lot of roadside attractions and a lot of America’s great scenery. The best way to see America by car in my opinion is to use two lane & one lane highways and by ways/secondary & try-nary roads in order to get around you won’t go as far and it’ll take you longer but they’re much more fun to drive. You’ll also see more of the country that way.
I wondered where the Wednesday upload was. Now this is a pleasant Sunday surprise. Glad they remembered to use US gallons in the calcs, not the bigger UK ones. That catches so many out.
I've grown up and lived in Tennessee practically all my life short of living elsewhere for about 8 months and watched you guys back in the car throttle days so this is quite funny to watch. Just about certain I've been everywhere in this video. That road between Crossville and Rockwood is a real treat, I had driven past ozone falls many times and only made time to stop in for the first time very recently.
13:16 speaking from experience, yes, there has been a time that place specifically has had every pump occupied. Travel at thanksgiving or christmas the lines are mad. Waited at least 5 mins for a pump to open up.
Jack defending his spend in a monster outdoors store was priceless. I would 100% have done the same thing. How did he NOT buy a Buc'Ees competition throwing axe??
Welcome to the word that describes America...BIG. Distance to drive, size of shops, size of portions, size of the sights, size of the people, size of the socialness (either friendly or not). The national parks/forests are the #1 reason I don't see myself leaving the country, no matter how crappy stuff gets.
Gentleman I've just got to say I enjoyed you on CT but you've 100% come into your own with this channel and I've enjoyed every single video you've put out. ❤️ Keep up the good work and if your ever in Scotland, pints on me. 😀🍺
Welcome to America, you guys can start looking for a place to buy here soon! We are actually moving from Florida up to Kentucky next month. Homes are cheap in the Midwest area as long as you aren't near a major city. In my current neighborhood here in Florida we have loads of British that live here year round now and say they would never go back. Come here and have a blast, you will enjoy it here!
This is by far the best viewing anywhere. Would love longer videos. Much better than watching people buying crashed cars. Jack with sausage on a stick, crying with laughter!
As a native Tennessean who makes the trip between Nashville and Knoxville frequently, it was fun to watch someone experience my home state for the first time.
I understand the Bass Pro spending. I made the mistake of venturing in to the Bass Pros in Vegas and Colorado Springs this year and both times I've ended up spending far too much money on stuff I didn't know I needed. The place is just crazy and I love it.
This was way too fun. Please visit America more often for national park roadtrips and oddities along the way! If only you saw the bass pro shop pyramid in Memphis
14:50 so back in 2023 I got the exact same thing after my time at Tail of The Dragon at that exact Buccee's. Turns out I bent one of my wheels and didn't notice it properly till after going to a tire shop thinking it was a balance issue. So with a bumpy as hell ride and 8 hours of driving ahead of me still, that sandwich was exactly what I needed to keep me going. Thank you Buccees.
9:09 the BassPro shop in Memphis TN the western border of Tennessee is a glass Pyramid. If you thought that was big you wouldn’t believe your eyes. Hotel, bowling, gun range, swamp, elevator to the top of the pyramid.
I think this series is actually beating the Japan adventure. You'll have to make a special edition t shirt for this trip too to go with my Japan shirt. My favourite channel on the tooob!
Jack's reaction to Bass Pro was so good! and Buc-ees is the best, i've only been once but it made me proud to be American lol. loving the US content, keep up the awesome work guys!
Not seen a car on this channel for a while. Usually it's camping on roundabouts or climbing up lighthouses. Probably why this is my favourite of the AA channel's as can never predict what will be happening next. ❤
I used to work all over the US and worked in Pigeon Forge for many months at Dollywood. Even had dinner with Dolly a few times, lovely lady. Staying in a log cabin there is the best. Can honestly say as a brit, its the best place in the US once you get out into the mountains. I did that drive a good few times up to the Carolina border and it was amazing. Did you go to "The cars are the stars" museum ?.
The Chevy Sonic is a nice, little road trip car. I ended up renting one about 10 years ago on an impromptu road trip after my connecting flight got cancelled that would have left me stuck in Kansas City until the next day. Ended up in a Sonic and drove from KC to Minneapolis. I got a refund on the portion of my trip that got cancelled, but the rent car cost a little bit more. I think it was a $30 difference. Anyway, the car rode well, drove well, and got the job done.
Only about half way through as I type this ( just left bass pro), but after seeing several Buc-ee's billboards on the road side, you guys HAVE TO stop at one...if bass pro blew your mind's, Buc-ee's will blow your wormhole 7 galaxies away ( to borrow a phrase from MCM) Nevermind.... I should have let it play a minute or so 😂
The contrasts in Tennessee are amazing. It's so wild driving from the complete tourist trap that is Pigeon Forge up into the beautiful National Park just down the road. Next time you guys gotta visit the Bush's Baked Beans visitor center though! Opportunity missed!
This is the best! I wish you would have more time in locations you visit though, you always breeze through so fast and don't have time to do much! It's the best watching you guys
As a manual sonic owner living in TN, they are cheap for a reason. $12k-$18k ( in 2017 when I bought mine) The 1.4T is turbo terrible. The 5-speed (or 6 in the higher trim) is fun. The TN hills make it an experience. Cheers from Cookeville.
I'm gonna assume your talking about the 2nd generation pre facelift sonic like they have and Jesus Christ American car prices are ridiculous if 12k for that piece of shit is considered cheap😲. We got the sonic in the UK as the Aveo up until 2012 and you can pick them up for as little as 1500 quid here. The most expensive is a 2012 with 40k miles for 4 grand. They were not popular cars and are cheap now due to reliability and parts availability since Chevrolet do not have any presence in the UK anymore. For 12k in the UK you could buy any number of modern cars including a 2017 BMW 3 series automatic with 56k on clock for the grand old price of £10,000 ($12,613)
@@Afraz_9n3 I bought it new off the lot. $12-18k new depending on trim level. $12k for the base level (crank windows, no cruise, dumbed down radio). Prices are abysmal, with the interest rates and dozens of tack-on fees being the primary culprits.
Bass Pro Shops are absolutely amazing to visit. As an Aussie we were just blown away by there size and content. I still have some of the stuff I bought from 10 years ago. Still the best shop ever! Cheers from Adelaide
Engine went in in the equinox, big surprise. To buy a used minivan. 2013. 240,000km, $500 and 3 months registration left. We have 30 days by law to transfer ownership and drive legally on current tags before inspection. Much more affordable than a rental for a month, when it comes inspection time it gets pricey, but by that time the engine will be replaced in the other unit. I could get it inspected and keep the van, but it's easier to list it for my $500 return, or maybe even a slight profit, or got meself a mobile shed. Be happier if chevy made a decent 2.4
to answer your question "do you think all of the gas pumps have been in use at the same time?" the answer is yes. I was at the Sevierville Buc-ees earlier this year and had to wait for a pump because they were all in use.
you guys are awesome. having great adventures as just a couple friends with a camera and a few bucks. the buccees food review had me laughing and feeling like I was on the road trip with you. you two will go as far as you want to. thanks for what you do.
