      @@skullyozeez6781 That's probably because he and Francesco Ferrini composed the songs together. what type of overly complex math did you do to come up with that, just tap to 1/2 of the song's bpm. much easier to do 135x2 than count how many notes exist in 4/4.

    • @fabiofsumi
      @fabiofsumi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      without the note value, the bpm number of the "click" does not say, how fast it is, at all. I could say I play on 1600bpm, but in half notes, or I play only on 25bpm, but in 128th notes. in the end, it is the same speed. People like to set the bpm in a way, that the fastest notes are 16th notes. Thats, why most people say it's 270bpm. In the end, it is how you would transcribe it. you can't hear, if it is 135, 270 or 540 etc.

    The 3rd Bass Drum is actually the next bands' (headliners most likely) drum kit. Smaller venues will have the openers play on the stage floor, then the main act has a drum riser so they're ready to go after the last opener. No set-up needed.

    Not saying I can play it but his best attribute is his double stroke technique. At the point this video was recorded he had only been playing for about 3 years. He learned his speed techniques and hit the ground running.

    Yup, he was originally the vocalist for HOP for all albums other than Sedition. Never even picked up a drumstick until 2008. He just decided he wanted to play drums and now he is. Look at the Mafia EP. At that point he had only been playing for 2 years.

    THIS is the kind of drum work I really love. Nick Barker used to satisfy my craving in the 90s or so, and well, still can. But im nearly spoiled now by Francesco Paoli. That display of speed here is absurd. May not suit everyone's taste, but I can recommend something from another blistering drummer. Sunless Rise - Eidolon. Not all the vocals may be for you, but the drumming is nuts.

      AnimeFreakSasuke Regular rock drummers tend to hit harder so each strike is more abusive, but they also favour thicker sticks. Striking cymbals on the side (hats included) will hurt the sticks as will various techniques that work the edges of the stick rather than just the tip. It gets expensive. ;)

    Finally someone who plays for the sake of destruction. No guy who cares about doing blastbeats with one foot or just single strokes. I hate this kind of "drummer-pride" which is going on out there. If you're standing in the crowd no one cares whether he's doing a one-foot blast beat or else. Especially if everything is triggered. This video is AWESOME!!!

      +MrScientist90 Learn what... blast beats at 270bpm? Why does Dave need to play like this? Should everyone? You must be a youngster. They're different stylistic drummers dude and I'd bet you Francesco would list Lombardo as one of his influences. Certainly one of the most influential drummers in metal. You're an idiot.
