When you have finished practicing on yours I have one here that you can come and do 😊. Absolutely wonderfully way over the top but beautiful.... Martin
That came out great! And thank you for the cousin routine, I needed a laugh after today. In watching your process I now kick myself for not thinking of using a needle scaler on my shaper, it would have worked much better. Will remember for the next machine.
Gday, I don’t think you went overboard at all, you got the results you wanted and that’s all that matters, I’d like to do the same to my Cincinnati mill one day, thanks for sharing, cheers
Absafreakingloutely sweet looking job. I was thinking, when you manually lifted that column all the way up and out, 'uh-oh there goes his back, no more videos from Yuchol!!!' Glad you are okay, but look out for yourself man, we want keep you around for a while longer. :)
Gotta say, most entertaining sanding and painting video I’ve ever seen. Beautiful job, belongs in Smithsonian. But now for the hard part with the rusted bits. I’m on pins and needles!
Yuchol, I have a grinder just like that that I will be parting out. If you want the spindle it's yours. It sounds decent when turning by hand, but no guarantees it's perfect. I only ask that you pay shipping, and maybe send a couple of your stickers in return. If you want it let me know.
I think it would look cool, and more like the factory original design, if you painted the "Cincinnati" raised letters in a contrasting color. I think the factory often used red. Love you channel, great work. Good luck with the spindle repair!
Great video! Took me back about 50 years ago when I worked for Cincinnati Milacron in the early 1970s. They were still building these machines then, interestingly almost all were #7B gray in color except machines that were used for display room, trade shows, or very few customer machines, these were painted in a white color very similar to what you did. I don't think these machines changed much from the machine you have from the 1950s except for updated controls and auto-lube systems.
You get to a point in a project where you may as well just go all in. I can’t count the times I turned a simple task into a weeks long project. Grinder is turning out great. Another entertaining video as always.
You might already know this, but, high build 2 part primer is your very best good friend for this. Mix it, brush or roll it on uncut and it's going to fill every pinhole and sand mark. It's very easy to sand.....like very very easy.
Nope, not overboard at all... (Well maybe a wee bit on the amount of body fill applied, but hat is really down to experience.) Looks really good Yuchol!
I am pretty new to this channel. I am a rookie. But I honestly love your format, the amount of information you give and the humour is top notch. Thank you for such a great channel Sir. What province are you in???
Yuchol, I'm glad you're not abandoning the project. I really think you can bring it back to life. It'll take longer and bring more challenges, but it'll be worth it. Another fun video good Sir. Gilles (PS, I'd be honoured if you'd come have a look at my channel)
Yuchol, you continue to inspire. I do think you are missing a huge, untapped labor reserve. It has been used for centuries and oddly has only recently fallen out of vogue. You are already paying maintenance on this labor source and it is under-foot every day and you don't even know it. I speak of course of the small spawn you have. Put them rascals to work filling and sanding. You can even teach the family pupper to contribute. (cats aren't really useful around the shop except as tack rags) Utilize those resources you have at hand, man!
I found some from China let me think about where I saw that and I’ll get back with you if you go back to your first video and look at the comments I believe I left information regarding affordable bellows in the comments of your first video on the tool cutter grinder
Yuchol, Looks great excellent work...she's going to be a beauty! Hey I've got a couple vehicles that could use a little body work..can I drop them off ? ... 😎😎
Looks beautiful Yuchol!! Have you sat back with a cup of tea and just stared at it yet, or will you wait till she's back together? I tend to do that with my own jobs I'm happy with. Stay safe & well :)
Amazing job Yuchol, fancy taking my shaper on? I need to do something similar with it and I just dare not start because I know full well its going to get messy! Lol. Cheers, Jon
So we can guess you are rebuilding the spindle or replacing it because of all the efforts you put into this. I thought any lacquer or two part sprays would be banned in commifornia? I unpacked a box that had a note it was a determined to be potential cause of cancer , it’s cardboard.
I sitting here watching you fill a machine with bondo… that’s way too much work and there is a much easier way. Evercoat makes another product called feather fill which they clam is a sprayable ( and it is) but for machines I find that rolling on a few coats is much easier and faster as we sand it anyway (three coats will give you about.093 thickness ) it will give you a undercoat that is almost automotive grade and is equivalent to spraying in spot putty. You’ll understand when you open the can and it smells like bondo …
That's beautiful. Well done! I love the color.
Thanks James, I am a Chevy guy, but I am loving this Ford color 😀
I really get a kick out of seeing fellow machinists turn a machine into a functional work of art......that will still be around in 50 years.
Thanks Eric 🙏🏻
This is fantastic work! The time and patience you have put in is making her look beautiful and new.
Thanks man, it took more patience than I have, but I am happy with how it looks 😁
Looks great. Now I'm in anticipation to see how you handle the spindle problem
You and me both 😂
Way overboard = off the deep end? Amazing results. Beautiful!
Thanks Joe 👍🏼
That looks like it turned out very well. Cudos to you for all your effort.
Thanks Michael 👍🏼
Great video. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm looking forward to the next one. Well done Yuchol!
Thanks Mike 👍🏼
Top,drawer video production/awesome finish…I appreciate your work ethic and craftsmanship
So kind, thank you Chuck
I wouldn't call it going overboard, I would call it doing it right and it looks awesome! Thanks for sharing Yuchol!
Danny! Thanks my man 👍🏼
Just need a really big bucket of evaporust. Things are looking good.
Joe
I do, thanks Joe
When you have finished practicing on yours I have one here that you can come and do 😊. Absolutely wonderfully way over the top but beautiful.... Martin
Thanks for the offer Martin 😁
That came out great! And thank you for the cousin routine, I needed a laugh after today. In watching your process I now kick myself for not thinking of using a needle scaler on my shaper, it would have worked much better. Will remember for the next machine.
Glad it made you, laugh, thanks Everett 👍🏼
When you’re finished it will be priceless to you well done
Appreciate it Alan 🙏🏻
Thanks Yuchol. Looking forward to the rest .
Thanks Terry 😀
Great job Yuchol! Inspire folks! Thank you again for all the effort and RESULTS!
It is a lot of work, but worth every minute in the end. It looks fantastic!
I am happy how it turned out, thanks 😀
Gday, I don’t think you went overboard at all, you got the results you wanted and that’s all that matters, I’d like to do the same to my Cincinnati mill one day, thanks for sharing, cheers
I would love to see how yours turns out 👍🏼

Love the cousin sketch.
Looks great. All the effort shows in the result.
😂. Thanks!
Wow, very nice, the end justifies the means!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Looks awesome , very nice job. Thank you for sharing the process.
Thanks Randy, learned everything I know from you 🙏🏻
@@woodscreekworkshop9939 You don't know much then.
@@RRINTHESHOP true, but what I now, I know well 😁
Dam your a nut definitely to pull all of that apart thats for sure. Although your the only one on TH-cam to show this deconstruction. Bravo. Nut.
Gotta say, most entertaining sanding and painting video I’ve ever seen. Beautiful job, belongs in Smithsonian. But now for the hard part with the rusted bits. I’m on pins and needles!
😁thanks Brad
Awesome sauce Yuchol! Hard work required for something to turn out looking super great like your Cinci!💥💥😎
Thanks Al!
Great job on the refinishing, but an even greater job on the editing of the video. Hats off to you!
Thank you! 😁
Super nice Yuchol! Want to see more of your cousin, he adds a family flavor to the channel! Joe
😂. Thanks Joe, will see if he can visit more often, although he drinks all my beer
Yuchol, just at the bondo stage with my Bridgeport base .. I know your pain and also know how "it can't be any other way" .. great videos!
Hang in there and keep pushing forward 💪🏼👍🏼
Really enjoying the journey with you,Yuchol! Looking forward to the next step!
Thanks for joining my journey my friend 🙏🏻
Awesome progress!
Took me awhile, but slowly making progress. Thanks Phil 👍🏼
Its gonna look great. I've always wanted to paint a machine a pearl white color.
Thanks 👍🏼
Came out looking great Yuchol !
Yuchol, I have a grinder just like that that I will be parting out. If you want the spindle it's yours. It sounds decent when turning by hand, but no guarantees it's perfect. I only ask that you pay shipping, and maybe send a couple of your stickers in return. If you want it let me know.
The body is certainly look nice now. Great work there Yuchol.
Thank you Harold
Wow, looks better than new! 😍 Now you'll have to keep going for sure 😁. Great job, Yuchol! 👍😊👍
Cheers!
No turning back now😊

Very nice work... I have been enjoying this series very much... See you on the next one.
Take care.
Paul,,
Thanks Paul 🙏🏻
You have some seriously nice tools there: Fesstool, Fein. I am looking forward to see this project at it's completion. It's gonna look great.
Thanks Robert, I’m a tool hoarder. 😒
Looks awesome Yuchol and worth every minute/penny spent on it.
Thanks Bill 😎

Very true. Thanks 👍🏼
Beautiful job, I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the spindle. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Looks great so far.
Nice color choice Yuch. Same color I painted my 68 El Camino back in 1995.
Very nice 👍🏼
Great job Yuchol! Overboard is just the right amount of board for a restoration. Looking forward to the next vid in the series
Thank you!
Wow. Looks great 👍
Thanks 👍🏼

You’re right, the strategy changed mid-project
@@woodscreekworkshop9939 I understand. Adapt and overcome is a plan just the same as a real plan.
Looking good!
Not sure you went overboard. Its a lot of hard work and it shows, Great job.
Thanks!
Nope, not overboard at all... (Well maybe a wee bit on the amount of body fill applied, but hat is really down to experience.) Looks really good Yuchol!
Yeah, I am not a good body man 🙄. Thanks!
Looking forward to a successful machine resto, and cant wait to see it being used. Definitely will be a showpiece in the shop 👍
Thank you 👍🏼
Yuchol- “We’re not going to remove all the paint “ Everybody else- Yeah you will…🤣 great job as always ✅👍
😁 thanks Michael as always

Thank you Jeffrey 👍🏼
That's very nice. worth every minute Thanks for the video
👍🏼 thanks Frank
Indeed, the best way is your own way. And don't let anybody decide in your place.
💪🏼. That’s right! Thanks my friend 👍🏼
We look very much alike... Bondo on..hilarious What a result, Wimbledon white for the win.
Thanks 😁

Thank you Giles, I will check it out!
Very nicely done looks awesome 👍👍👍 only thing I'd be tempted to do is paint the logo or logo face a different color 👍
Shhhhh, don’t give it away 🤭
nice job sir. looking forward see you on ARW soon,
Thanks!
Yuchol, you continue to inspire.

I HAVE A K. O. LEE TOOL AND CUTTER GRINDER THAT I CLEANED UP . HAVE YOU FOUND A SOURCE FOR THE BELLOWS YET
I found couple sources, but they show out of stock and pricing is at $300 to $400 which is insane.
I found some from China let me think about where I saw that and I’ll get back with you if you go back to your first video and look at the comments I believe I left information regarding affordable bellows in the comments of your first video on the tool cutter grinder
Hi Yuchol, that looks really great! How do you find the time? Thanks for the video!
Hi Bruce, I find few hours here and there 👍🏼
Right on.
Thanks!
I would have done the same, you saw the K&T 2h I just painted..
Yes, yours turned out beautiful 👍🏼
Yuchol, Looks great excellent work...she's going to be a beauty! Hey I've got a couple vehicles that could use a little body work..can I drop them off ? ... 😎😎
Thanks man, unfortunately I’ve got few vehicles ahead of yours 😁
It's beautiful.
We assume the spindle is ok and new bearings are coming soon??
Cant wait
I purchased the bearings, but have to clean up some parts before testing them 👍🏻
Looks beautiful Yuchol!! Have you sat back with a cup of tea and just stared at it yet, or will you wait till she's back together? I tend to do that with my own jobs I'm happy with. Stay safe & well :)
I have sat there and stared at it many times because I felt lazy to start on the next part 😁
Wow. It looks fantastic. Did you consider polysurfacer? Once you're covering the whole surface, it's easier.
I did, but I was already into it 😁
that thing got a better paintjob than my car!
😭
Amazing job Yuchol, fancy taking my shaper on? I need to do something similar with it and I just dare not start because I know full well its going to get messy! Lol. Cheers, Jon
Thanks Jon, I think I’ll be busy for awhile 😀
Yuchol, I love your channel! You are so dang dry, I love your humor!! And work!!!! Do you test for lead in the paint? Please please be careful........
Thanks buddy!
You did a nice job, not overboard at all.
First Place at the Annual Machinery Show & Shine for sure 🥇
Ah, thanks man 👍🏼

I will rebuild the spindle. I am in Washington state, one tiny step above CA 😒
No job is done well until it’s overdone. 😆
I like how you think 😎
👍👍😎👍👍
Tom Sawyers gotta paint a fence…
Nice job. Too bad you will be chasing body filler dust for years now in your shop.
Yeah, will be fighting that for awhile. Thanks Tom 😁
Would you believe Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together for 38 years? How's that for anti-drama?
That’s right, some Hollywood relations do last 👍🏼
shoulda been machine grey. just my opinion.

you should get your cousin to finish it, save your time for something else 🤭
He does the easy part, goes drinking when real work begins 😒
Do you have a son named Logan??
Yes, he is in Johan's class
It's only overboard if you're lazy.
Well, I have been known to take a nap or two 🙄
Long strokes, you cut like coke 🤣🤣
🤷🏻♂️😁
