    I need to find a doc like you. Ive seen 12 with no results. Got that reversed curve from a bad car accident it finally got so bad that I have very little feeling in my body and it hurts to breathe 😮. If I ever recover I’d love to learn the trade and get people out of pain!

      Thank you for your comments and for watching. I'm sorry that you are not feeling your best. I would recommend a visit to Asheville and an appointment in my office for an evaluation and full body adjustment. Where do you live?

      @@DrPaulMonitto I’m in Pennsylvania. That being said Im not functional anymore and getting better is my biggest priority. Actually planning on using my settlement money to see a TH-cam doc, maybe I could spend a week or two out there!

    Is there any evidence in the literature supporting that bad posture is connecting with neck pain? Also it advisable to start exercise and endurance at the neck muscle to solve the problem and reduce pain?

    • @DrPaulMonitto
      @DrPaulMonitto  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Bad posture can significantly contribute to neck pain. Here are some common causes and potential solutions:
      ### Causes:
      1. **Forward Head Posture**: When the head is positioned in front of the body's center of gravity, it increases strain on the neck muscles.
      2. **Text Neck**: Looking down at phones, tablets, or computers for prolonged periods.
      3. **Poor Ergonomics**: Workstations that are not set up correctly can force awkward positions.
      4. **Sedentary Lifestyle**: Lack of movement and prolonged sitting can weaken postural muscles.
      5. **Improper Sleeping Positions**: Sleeping in positions that strain the neck.
      ### Solutions:
      1. **Ergonomic Adjustments**:
      - **Computer Screen**: Ensure the top of your computer screen is at eye level.
      - **Chair**: Use a chair that supports your lower back and allows your feet to rest flat on the floor.
      - **Keyboard and Mouse**: Keep them at a height that allows your arms to be at a 90-degree angle.
      2. **Posture Correction**:
      - **Standing**: Keep your shoulders back and your weight evenly distributed on both feet.
      - **Sitting**: Sit back in your chair with your back straight and shoulders relaxed.
      3. **Regular Breaks and Movement**:
      - Take short breaks every hour to stand, stretch, and move around.
      4. **Exercises**:
      - **Neck Stretches**: Gently stretch the neck muscles several times a day.
      - **Strengthening Exercises**: Focus on exercises that strengthen the neck and shoulder muscles.
      - **Postural Exercises**: Practice exercises that promote good posture, like yoga or Pilates.
      5. **Proper Sleeping Setup**:
      - Use a pillow that supports the natural curve of your neck.
      - Sleep on your back or side rather than on your stomach.

      pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31366294/. Thanks for your response, but contemporary literature supports that there is no evidence behind the theory that spine pain is caused by bad posture, or by bad bending, sitting, sleeping or standing. If you want I can send researches and evidence based article to read. Maybe it's time to rethink!

    How many of these do i u need for forward head posture

    • @DrPaulMonitto
      @DrPaulMonitto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well that depends on the severity of your forward head posture, your age, occupation and life style. Most patients take between 6-18 months to correct, with corrective exercises and posture recommendations. check out:

    I have very similar symptoms. Are these adjustments okay for people with osteoporosis?

    • @DrPaulMonitto
      @DrPaulMonitto  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sandysharp1598 Yes, however the amount of force is tailored to the individual patient based on age, weight and X-ray findings.

    I have forward head posture, i walk kinda leaning foward no hunch. Im 38 male, my mum said my grandad was the same. Is that common?

    • @DrPaulMonitto
      @DrPaulMonitto  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, especially for taller people. Although it is hereditary, you can still make changes if done early on.
      You can do these 3 simple exercises 1-2x a day th-cam.com/video/tBRJybc6G3M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nF2H8GPsYV3kQx8p
